This is the only Hotel we have ever returned back to. Rooms clean and everything you need. Staff Amazing including Arun and Nigel. Will be back again next year as made too feel so welcome. Only thing I would say is maybe Ron needs to learn some new songs.
We stayed for a bargain break during the Easter holidays and loved it. The apartment we chose had a beautiful view of the mountain from the back and looked over Lloret de Mar from the front, we both thought it was quieter than the pool view apartments. The buildings and the fixtures and fitting's are well maintained and certainly don't scream budget apartments. We found the kitchen (apartment A404) could of been better equipped, some things (grater and chopping board spring to mind) really needed replaced. However there is plenty of space and little touches like the wee pack of bin bags, sponge etc in the kitchen and the brush, mop and bucket in the bathroom were nice. We did find it very cold at night (there's no heating) so warm nightclothes are a must if the weathers colder! Also the walls are think so do expect to hear your neighbours if they come home late. Before we went we'd read a lot about the apartments being at the top of a steep hill, however it only takes an easy few minutes to walk up it, and we're couch potatoes! The staff are all brilliant and all speak English really well, we loved the Glaswegian night porter but our favourite person had to be Nigel the shuttle bus driver, he's stayed in Spain for years and is passionate about the place. He gave us lots of hints and tips to get the most out of our stay, when he heard one of us is vegetarian he even suggested great places to eat when we were out and about, and persuaded us to try the hotel food which I have to say is excellent (especially the ribs) and well priced, he advised us where we could get taxis back from the town when it's getting late and how much to expect to pay (8-10 euros) he was cheery every day and nothing was a bother for him. The free shuttle bus is as good as having your own personal transport at your disposal, Nigel will take you to the supermarket, the beach or the town, he'll pick you up at a set time or you can call the hotel and they'll get him to pick you up. We were out and about every day, we went to Tossa de Mar on the bus (stunning scenery and worth going just for the bus ride) and took the bus+train (thanks for the tip Nigel) to Barcelona, roughly 65 euros for four of us, we even went on the bus to Girona, I think that was 48 euros for four. The apartments were ideally located and priced for a first time trip to start exploring Spain.
Just back from a 4 night stay from the els llorers apartments and we had a great time. Me, my husband and our 5 year old daughter stayed in room 303 which was a good sized, clean 1 bedroom apartment which looked over the pool and had a sea view. We were 2 floors above the bar so we could hear noise if there was something on, but it ended at 12, so it was never a big problem. The staff were all very friendly, especially Lucy who works in the bar and Nigel the shuttle bus driver. Both always chatted and always had a smile. The food was very nice and very reasonably priced. We were self catering but paid for breakfast every morning it was so nice. Jugs of cocktails were only 10 euro. There's was plenty for the children to do, including a play park, 2 pools and a bouncy castle. The entertainment was good as well. We were there Wednesday to Sunday and on the Thursday night there was karaoke, Friday night was flamenco dancers and on the Saturday night it was live music. Alot of people complained about the hill the apartments was on, but it's not that bad. We managed to do it twice a day with no complaints. There is also a mini market at the bottom of the hill which sells essentials. But the centre of town is only a 15 minute walk away. The only criticism I have is the walls are paper thin. This wasn't a problem until our last night when we had to be picked up at 5.30 the next morning and found it quite difficult to sleep. The walls are so thin I could hear the children in the next apartment swishing the water about in the bath and one of the children said mummy and it was so loud and clear I thought it was my daughter in the next bed!! But I wouldn't let this put me off going back. Thanks to all the staff for giving us a great stay 😀😀
My daughter and I recently stayed for a week. We had room 101 which is well a equipped one bedroomed apartment with separate air con in both the bedroom and main living area. The kitchen was well stocked with kettle, toaster, coffee machine (electric and you need to buy large-sized paper filers), saucepans, decent non-stick frying pan, microwave and plenty of curlery, crockery and decent knives. Room 101 is almost directly over the bar so will be noisy if there is something going on in there but we were there on a quiet week and only had one night of significant noise and that ended at midnight. Foods was nice and reasonably priced and drinks OK but we went into Lloret most nights which is a 10-15 min walk. there is a courtesy car service run by a friendly and very helpful English chap called Nigel. this was the real find of the holiday as he helped us with lots of local information and was always willing to takes us to either the bus station, beach or main supermarket from 9am to 6.30pm. He often saw us walking back from town and pulled over on his own accord to offer us a lift. Top marks Nigel. We did walks from Lloret both ways from the beach. We went along to Fenals which was a nice walk, but better was going the other way to Tossa de Mar. Its a challenging 6 mile walk with plenty of steps and hills but Tossa is a lovely quaint town with lots of character and well worth a visit. We got a bus back to Lloret from where we the called the hotel reception who sent Nigel to pick us up from the bus station. The staff on reception all speak English and we all very helpful. You pay a 50 Euro deposit on arrival which younget back when you check out if you have looked after your room, we had no problem with this. The main pool has plenty of sunbeds and space, but there is a small more secluded pool behind the reception area which is likely to be be less busy as it has less for kids to do and is away from the bar. We found this more relaxing and quiet. I’d recommmend this hotel.
We arrived late (past midnight) we were shown to our room which unfortunately wasn’t the one we had been expecting however this was sorted first thing. We moved into our new room by the pool first thing next morning. It was very clean and had almost everything we needed (an oven would have been the icing on the cake), the beds are super comfy although I wasn’t keen on the high pillow but had it swapped to a flatter one. It’s a little noisy at night when the bar closes but it didn’t ruin anything. All the staff were very helpful, we particularly liked Lucy who was excellent with the kids, she is friendly and always smiling. Nige the taxi man was very helpful and friendly his knowledge of the area was invaluable! The food served in the bar is very tasty and reasonably priced so well worth trying! The pool Was cold as you would expect this time of year but it didn’t stop the kids at all! We would recommend staying here, if you get a room your unhappy with speak to reception and if they can move you they will, I have given this review a 5 star rating, not because it’s luxury but because it’s way more than a 2* place with happy staff and a happy feel, a great place to holiday with family and friends!
I couldn't fault the accommodation here. It was lovely and clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Nigel is really nice and does a great job dropping off and picking people up. My kids had a fantastic time. It was a really good price for a easter break away. I would definitely go back
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Fairly clean, large and spacious. Basic, good cooking facilities 4 ring gas stove. All staff are very friendly but watch the evening bar tender as he overcharges.. Bar and pool area are pretty good. Free WiFi in reception. Free shuttle bus too and from the beach. Please note apartment's are a good 10/15 minutes walk to the beach. Nice beach. As for the resort lots of tacky souvenir shops, and not a great deal to do.
I am currently staying at Els Llorers with my 12 yr old son and the apartment and staff are great. You can get a free shuttle into town between 9am to 6pm.Nigel who drives is very helpful.Lucy and Guiseppe at the bar are fab and the food is nice and good value. It is great for kids with a play area and pool with bouncy castle. My son has made a friend and been playing all day. The rooms are spacious and clean with all the facilities you need.
We came to stay here and we were quite shocked at the hygiene in the place. We walked in and we could smell dampness. Then found that the curtains in the living room were too short so there was not enough privacy. I ended up hanging blankets up at night. The bathroom had mould all over the tiles and a large chip in the bath was covered up by a bath mat. WiFi signal was rubbish. On the plus side; There is a free shuttle service down town till 6pm. The town is lovely. Lots of shops. Places to eat, boat trips castles to visit. It’s a good place to visit but you quickly run out of things to do. For the price we paid we could have got a better cleaner apartment.
Stayed at Els Llores for 7 nights. We stayed as a couple and had another couple with us, who were situated a few apartments away. Both apartments were very nice. We had the sea view, however we were a little way away from the sea but it was nice to be able to see the sunrise and sunset over the horizon. We actually liked the location of the hotel, it is in a quiet spot slightly away from the real business of the town. However it's only a 15-20min easy stroll to the heart of the town and the lovely beaches promenade and coastal walks. There are a vast number of bars and restaurants in the town to suit everyone's tastes. There is a lively 'clubbing' area but it didn't affect our stay at all. The hotel also does an excellent taxi service to and from the beach, supermarkets and bus station completely free. This is an amazing service and made shopping and carrying the heavier stuff so much easier, although it finishes at about 6.30pm. We found the walk back easy and did it every evening. There is a very nice bar and restaurant at the hotel, it is reasonably priced and the food is good, we ate there twice and had many drinks there. Staff were attentive and very friendly. Apartments were spacious, very clean, well equipped. It's not a major problem taking your own rubbish to the big bins provided. Bin bags and a cleaning kit was provided and everyone gets their €50 deposit back. Pool area was OK, plenty of sunbeds but they were a bit rickety. We had a lovely stay at this apartment. WORD OF WARNING....... There are pickpockets operating in Lloret, they tend to hang around the coastal path were the pathways narrow and you don't realise they are so close. 2 ladies in their late 20s early 30s operating together. My husband was pushed (not aggressively) more of a distraction, by one lady and caught the other lady with her hand inside his bum bag! She had undone the zips and was trying to get his wallet. We reported it to the police who detained them. Once the police arrived many disturbed holiday makers came forward to say they had been done too and had lost money and goods. Be prepared it is easily avoided if you are aware.
