Filthy Mess

I cannot stress enough how frustrated I was when we arrived to this property. The place reminds me of a college party house versus a family vacation home. The property was filthy. The exterior of the home is covered in mold and screens were torn. All 3 exterior spaces on the back of the house were extremely dirty with mismatched out dated furniture that had not been cleaned. The table and floor boards on the 2nd floor deck were completely covered in grease from a grill. The steps leading down from the 3rd floor deck were broken. My son nearly fell when the stair threads came up as he walked. The oven door is broken and falls to the floor when you open it. In addition, the seal on the oven door glass is broken, so food has dripped down into it and is visible. The refrigerator is too small for the space it occupies, so you can see on either side of it and the filth that was back there was out of control. I almost walked back out and left when we arrived but I had my sons, DILs and grandkids to think about. So, I spent the first 2 days of my vacation scrubbing the house. The owner sent the cleaning crew back in but I had already cleaned the inside of the house, but they do not clean the exterior, so we just avoided all the exterior decks on the back of the house. The pool area had dirt and leaves in all 4 corners. The furniture around the pool was mismatched and dirty. The only saving grace was the home’s location. The street was beautiful and very close to the beach.

Lovely stay in OBX

This was my first VRBO experience and it was a good one. The house was well equipped with amenities and was located close to the belief. The multiple seating areas allowed people who needed some quiet time to sneak away. The three children under nine enjoyed the playroom/basement, especially the pop-a-shot. Everything clean and bright! Thank you!

Loved it!

My stay was perfect. We utilized the hot tub each evening. The place looks completely different than the pictures of it when we went to book and i mean this in a good way. Way more furniture inside and out. The new shiplap wall wasn't in the pictures, neither were the bar top and kitchen island. The description said a five min walk to the beach, more like 2 and we are in our eighties. If i could give dreamin seamen more than 5 stars i would.

Fantastic Vacation!

This home exceeded every expectation we had for our family beach getaway! The listing photos must be a little dated because there were many new renovations and additions that we were pleasantly surprised to find. The short walk to the beach made our daily seaside adventures effortless. The kids had a blast building sand castles and collecting shells. The home itself was very relaxing and great for keeping us entertained. From the hot tub to the volleyball court and game room, it felt like there was always something for the kids to enjoy. The spacious layout allowed us to spread out comfortably. James was extremely responsive and provided great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect retreat - we are already planning our next visit!!!

Great Location And So Much To Do!

Our recent stay at Dreamin' Seamen was amazing and a well needed getaway! This house is huge! and exceeded our expectations in every way. Super close to the beach, just a 1 block, 4 to 5 minute walk which made it perfect for our large group of friends and kids. The house was very clean and the 8 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and several living areas ensured everyone had their own space to hangout and enjoy the home. The highlight was undoubtedly the array of amenities – from the relaxing hot tub, volleyball court and horseshoe pit, to the game room filled with various table games, pool and ping pong. We loved how private the backyard area was! There is more to this house then the pictures show, they must have done some new renovations. The host, James, provided clear instructions that made for an easy checkin and checkout and answered any and all questions we had throughout our stay. Excited to come back again in the summer and use the huge private pool!

This beach house has it all!!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Dreamin’ Seamen! The location, only about a 3-minute walk from the beach, was super convenient for our large family. The house has a great layout offering plenty of space for everyone to unwind and relax. The kids loved the private pool, hot tub, and outdoor volleyball court. The house is centrally located in Corolla only a short drive to the Timbuck II Shopping Village, Currituck Beach Lighthouse and Corolla Adventure Park. Everything is easy to get to and there is so much to do right near by. The host was extremely helpful and provided clear check-in instructions and great recommendations that made our stay hassle-free and comfortable. My one critique would be to update some of the pictures online to show off the new improvements and renovations that were clearly recently done. Overall, this was a very memorable getaway for our group and we will be booking again!!
