Have been here just two years ago & enjoyed the stay, but not a great experience this time. Asked to pay cash on arrival, never heard of it. When we arrived in the room allocated it was cold, & it had an adjoining door which put me uneasy. No secure clasp on our window so we had to jam it with a teaspoon. The breeze coming in we blocked with a toilet roll. The remote control for the TV didn't work and even working the set manually, stations kept changing. The charge for breakfast was to be €10 each but we were charged €12. No receipts were given when we were leaving.

The place was easy to find using the GPS but the road leading up to the hotel is steep as the hotel is on a big hill. The hotel itself was lovely, I loved the corridors and the lightings. The room could be better considering it's a 4 star hotel but they are currently undergoing refurbishment. We were there for 3 nights and had both breakfasts and dinner at the hotel. Shulagh, the staff who served us breakfast for 2 out of 3 mornings was really nice and friendly and we had lovely conversations with her. The staffs who served us dinner for the latter 2 nights were also very nice and approachable. We were there over the Easter weekend so got Easter eggs on Sunday morning, which was a lovely surprise. Would go back there if driving down to Cork again.

Most disappointing hotel from our visit to Ireland. I am giving two stars-one because the staff was pretty good and one because it is haunted. On their website they show very nice, modern rooms but that is not what we got. Our room was out of the 1900's and so was the bed. You literally sunk down to the box springs--very uncomfortable. The room was unbelievable dated and dark, I cant believe we paid for this. It smelled of tobacco/cedar smell. I couldn't wait to get out of this place. This hotel is not in Cork--it is about 10+ miles away. A taxi ride to St Patrick St in Cork was about $20 US each way--very expensive. There was NO wifi in the room, only in the hotel lobby and restaurant. Yes our room was visited by a ghost in the middle of the night. We woke up to a big ruckus, had to get up and turn on the lights to see what was going on. The ghost push a toiletry bag off the desk and it went crashing across the floor. I asked the clerk in the morning if the hotel was haunted and she denied it but later at breakfast we heard other guests talking about "Mabel" the ghost that lived there. The ghost didn't scare us --it just added to the uniqueness of the stay. I would not stay here again nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cork--it is just too far away. It is more of a retreat hotel for weddings and parties.

A group of us recently attended a wedding here it was such a wonderful experience, the service we received from the manager Michael was impeccable from start to finish, we have need attended a wedding where the food was so hot when it came to our table, the decor was so beautiful some stayed in the self catering houses which are amazing and have all the facilities you could need with a very modern contemporary feel to them,

We couldn't recommend Vienna Woods more highly for a wedding reception. We had our reception there in March and everything about it was fab! Maryanne, our wedding coordinator, was a pleasure to deal with. She was extremely friendly, efficient and obliging. She made planning our wedding very easy. On our wedding day we were treated like royalty by Maryanne, Michael, Sam and all the staff. The food and service was complimented by many of our guests. The food is locally sourced and is very tasty. There was plenty of everything and they came around with seconds. Wine glasses were also kept topped up. Our guests were also very impressed with their rooms. We can't thank Vienna Woods enough for making our wedding day so special and easy.

Well what I can say about the hotel it was amazing staff were fantastic couldn’t do enough for us da duty manager in the kitchen SAM came out spoke to us also MONICA couldn’t do enough for us every body was fantastic and the food was amazing da room was beautiful very comfy bed will be returning again thank u

I’ve stayed in this hotel before, it’s fine, it’s more 3 star, my problem was Reception lady ID checking me on way out and asking to see my credit card signature. In 20 years travelling I’ve never seen this, 100 + Hotel’s a year. Wow, might be profiling because of my northern accent. I was actually disgusted. I will never Darken your door again. BTW your breakfast is terrible, cold coffee, gruel for porridge. But I know there is refurb going on so I’ll excuse that.

Can honestly say hand on heart this must have been the best mothers day meal and experience we've had in ages. We arrive a party of 15 in total 7 adults and 8 kids and from the get go we were treated as if we were the only large party in an extremely busy restaurant. The selection of starters main meal and desserts unbelievable and then for the children they had there own food station which covered every fussy eaters requirements sausages gougans beans spaghetti phewwwwww deep breaths We had a gem of a waiter Paul who kept us entertained from the minute we started down. An absolute credit to the Vienna Woods Hotel. In fact every member of staff that passed us had a smile on their face and a hello on their lips all willing to help us and answer our queries like ahhhhhhhhh where are the chip's. My little girl whose down syndrome was treated to a tour of tge kitchen by the head chef Jim she arrived back at the table with a big grin on her face. Massive thank you to Micheal Magner, Jim, Paul and all the staff The food service and set up was a real mother's day delight

Very helpful staff. The room was beautiful furnishings and really comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. I don't stay often because they don't have a gym, but that's their prerogative, their guests are into different things. There is a golf course nearby and a decent walk/run route into and around Glanmire. There is something very welcoming and relaxing about this hotel and I'd recommend it if you don't need a gym or pool.

This was one of the hotels booked through my tour group. We happened to be on tour during the 2018 blizzard and our tour plans were cancelled. Between our tour guide, the hotel owners, and wonderful staff we have played board games, ate a delicious curry lunch, watch and participated in an Irish coffee demonstration, and sitting by a beautiful fire. I can't say enough good things!
