Just been to hotel last weekend. The staff were excellent and so helpful. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Spa and pool lovely. Stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend for a quiet relaxing break.
This hotel was in a great location for our visit to Blarney Castle, as we had a car. The room was spacious and clean, but the bed was not very comfortable. We ate in Cormacs Bar. The food was really good and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was also really good, hot and hearty. One annoying thing was that on 3 occasions our door key didn't work and we had to walk quite a way back to reception to have them fixed. Overall, I would be happy to stay again.
Usually such a luxurious spot to stay. We have stayed about 3/4 times in recent years. Arrived and checked in on Friday night, checked in pretty quick, went to our room and walked in to find it already occupied with people's clothes etc. Walked down to reception again and the poor receptionist was mortified. Said she would investigate. About 20mins later still no sign of anyone coming to us, so I went back up to reception. Who said they came looking for us and all they had was a twin room or one of the lodges after a glitch in the systen (even though we had booked a double room for both nights). We took the chalet opposed to the twin room, however the chalet was grubby and in dire need of a refurbishment and a good clean. They were cobwebs all over the rooms and just a general lack of looking after them with moss and bird dropping all over the veranda (bird dropping obviously cannot be helped but a good sweep wouldn't go astray). We always chose this hotel as it is usually lovely and have some lovely memories made here!). We loved dining and having a few drinks but the location of the chalet meant that we would have been soaked walking to the hotel and back as it was torrential rain on the Friday night. After a long day of work and travelling we opted for pizza locally. I rang on Saturday to see if we could move to the hotel and was advised I would need to check out at 12 and wouldn't be getting a room until there was one available. We were going to a concert on Saturday night and leaving at 4pm so to be unsure of a time to check in meant we couldn't get ready so we opted to stay in the lodge. What other choice did we have?? Such a disappointing stay in your hotel, this was a special anniversary get away with a concert thrown in at the Marquee... I am extremely disappointed with the 'glitch' in your system which was more than likely an overbooking and will be reluctant to stay again.
The breakfast was very good. The room was big with a nice soaker tub. It also had a lot of marks on the wall ( could use a good wash or paint) The beds didn't have much support left. It was hard to find. The staff for breakfast were friendly and helpful.
Stayed 4th -8th June 2017 in lodges nice size for families but need attention shabby, needs redecor carpet not clean windows filthy downstairs toilet leaking light on cabinet not working. Upstairs bathrooms stoppers in sinks missing light on one bathroom cabinet not working. Outside bird dropping piled on window cill, windows covered in bird droppings overall place needs good clean plus proper supervision, lodge not checked or cleaned for our stay towels not changed staff overall need customer service training. On leaving mentioned our problems to reception staff no reaction very disappointing stay would not recommend this hotel.
Stayed here on first weekend in June 2017,staff were excellent and very accommodating as we originally booked a lodge house on the grounds and had a change of mind and decided to take a family room instead. Found place to be kept to a great standard of cleanliness in rooms and around hotel. Food in restaurant was enjoyable for breakfast and dinner in the evening. Have a lovely play area for kids to relax in including pool table and games and safe area outside with swings and such. The swimming pool and gym facilities are excellent too which we availed of also. I will definitely be returning again. 😁

We had afternoon tea this week at the Blarney Resort hotel and I have to say, what a disappointment. I had a voucher from one of the internet sites but even so I was surprised by the lack of interest in the customer and the food. There was no acknowledgement that we had children in our group, just offered tea or coffee, no hot chocolate or juice. I had requested by internet that we got no fish but we did and it seemed an imposition to remove it. Nothing stood out in terms of food, sad sandwiches, not enough of them and sad cakes. Scones were ok. We will never return, there are many other nice places to go.
