The room was really clean and the service polite and helpful. Location is ideal, really close to Corfu Town and next to Vlacherena Church and Pontikonisi. View is awesome to Corfu Airport! Also, don't forget to try the food (really great) and cocktails in the hotel bar!
Ariti Grand Hotel was an excellent hotel that gave us unforgettable memories! People from all over the world want to visit Greece and the island Corfu and Ariti Grand Hotel is a great cheap choice. For a budget hotel it looks really good. The room was surprisingly big, but the bathroom wasn't anything special. The reception was clean and there was a bar for people to enjoy some drinks. The pool was looking pretty cool, although the water wasn't exactly clean. The hotel provided us with breakfast and dinner. The dining room was really good and the food was tasty. Unfortunately there wasn't a food variety and most of the given edibles didn't look appealing, but rather nasty. The service was generally kind. We had a little problem with the cleaner, because she didn't change our sheets and didn't leave us any shampoo for showering. After a complaint call and the problem was solved.
stayed here however its not as good as they make out, the front looks grand but once you go for a swim the back of the joint looks like a shanty town in India, the air con was terrible as were the w/c as when you shower the water comes out of the drains in the tile area. pool was great and is child friendly as to the staff in the bar by the pool were terrific and nice to socialise with, there was also very nice staff at reception that tried assisting in a few issues and give them credit for doing so, in my belief its the owners that need to pay there staff more and spend more on the property cause as it stands i wouldn't rate you as a Grand more a shanty town below average hole. Even though you gave us an upgrade for the night the rooms were nicer but the bathrooms and the water coming out of drains is appalling , the air con was much better and should be the same throughout, also the breakfast well i have had better in Athens hotel which is smaller but puts your Grand hotel to shame and at least they provided bottled water everyday to drink were this is what you should be doing as well been a bigger hotel and the fact its not safe to drink tap water in Greece then its a head up to do as others do, very poor and i would not recommend until you make quick and real changes starting with hiring knowledgeable trades men not ones that believe they are. lucky i have given you a rating of 2, haven't much better to say about Corfu holiday palace i am currently staying in., new review for that soon.
Good hotel to stay at. 4 Star but you have to remember it’s Greek 4 Star, and perfectly acceptable. Staff are very nice, attentive in a relaxed way and diligent in keeping the place clean and tidy. We stayed in room 613 with a great view of Corfu airport runway with planes taking off and landing. Room was cleaned well every day, towels were changed in the middle of our week. There was a card in the room saying the towels would be changed every second day and if we had asked I’m sure they would have changed them again for us. Pool bar doesn’t open until 10.30am and closes at 8.00pm but it was a nice bar and a good pool with a slope to get out one end, which was nice. We saw a man test the pool water every night with a testing kit, which was good to see. Yes, there is a dog or two barking nearby sometimes but hey, they do live there and are not troublesome. You can hear the planes but that should be expected as the airport is minutes away, making for a great short transfer. Fantastic location to get the No2 bus opposite to Corfu Town or take a short walk to the Kanoni Café with spectacular views. There is also a Sushi Bar and Cocktail Bar by the café. A place not to miss is Captain George almost next door. Great Greek Taverna with the fabulous, ebullient George and his lovely wife, Lisa. They open for lunch at midday and in the evenings from 7.00pm until midnight. We didn't eat at the hotel but I believe it was a basic affair although they do have a Sunday afternoon BBQ with DJ by the pool. We missed the BBQ but the DJ was good. They have a disco on Tuesday evenings on the terrace which was sadly poorly attended as they had gone to the effort of laying on extra seating. The terrace/lounge area bar stays open until 1.00am. We had several dinners and a couple of lunches at Captain George and dinner at the Sushi Bar and dinner and lunches in Corfu Town. We also had lunch at Flisvos a few times. You go into the Corfu Holiday Palace Hotel opposite, walk through the pool area and take the funicular railway down to the beach, have a cocktail at the bar there and then walk round the beach to Flisvos - great views and lovely food and, yes, more airplanes landing and taking off, with which we became quite fascinated. You can also see Mouse Island from most of these places but we couldn't see that there was much to do or see on it. Be aware that the No2 bus that goes from Kanoni to Corfu Town operates on a loop so if you don't get off in Town you will find yourselves coming back on the loop! We weren't the only ones to do it! Get off at San Rocco Square, you should see the bus emptying out and lots of people getting on. Don't get worried if it says No2A bus, that bus takes a little additional route around town by the Liston Building but will still get you back to Kanoni. You can get bus tickets from the very handy shop next door to the Ariti and next to that is a shop selling beach towels, hats etc and some nice gifts. Also there is Cafe Royal next to the Kanoni Cafe which is almost on the runway! A lovely place for a morning coffee and watching the planes. I would recommend staying at the Ariti Grand for all these reasons.
6th to 15th of June 2017. This was our first Corfu holiday and we really enjoyed our stay at the Ariti Grand Hotel. We stayed for 9 nights Half-Board. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I must especially thank ‘Babis’ for his assistance and advice and also the restaurant manager and his wonderful team. We thought that the quality and variety of the food was very good. I had 2 plates of dinner on most nights as I wanted to try a little of everything. The changing choices of Greek salads were fabulous. They were so good that I also had salads for breakfast every day. The hotel has 6 floors. The hotel is built into the side of a hill with the hotel roadside entrance/reception uphill on floor 4 with the restaurant on the floor 3. Pool and poolside bar are downhill at the rear of building on floor 1. Evening bar is near reception, also sun terrace with afternoon sun. Disco night (Tues) and Greek music and dance night (Fri). My wife and I stayed in a superior double/twin room (417) which we were told has a slightly larger room-size compared to a standard room. There was an extra single bed for a possible third person. Would have been nice to have an armchair in the room as there was space for one. Our room was on floor 4 with a north-facing balcony which got the sun in the morning and evening, avoiding the intense heat of the afternoon. There was an ample-sized fridge which came in very useful for medicines, food, etc. Air-conditioning worked very well with 3 blower-strength settings. No tea/coffee-making facilities but we took our own with us. TV with BBC World News, Euronews and a music channel, all in English. We both had Wifi reception. We will definitely be returning to the Ariti Grand Hotel, hopefully very soon.
The hotel is far away from the city center and any beaches, but so close to the airport. Rooms are clean but absolutely basic, no single leaflet even saying general rules, no blackout curtains, pool chairs insufficient for the hotel capacity, constant bbq smell around. Loud evening party every night until midnight, impossible to relax. Food at the restaurant is not to be remembered at all. Staff is polite, rooms are clean but with poor essential furniture.
After reading some of the reviews on here and the first sight of the exterior of the hotel I had my expectations pretty low. First hotel for me and my girlfriend and ever since we stayed here we feel people are way too critical of the place. Staff are absolutely fine, no problems whatsoever. Not much in the way of evening entertainment but if you're looking for quiet it's going to be perfect, but the bar is a bit on the expensive side. Pool area really nice and clean, never had a problem with finding sunbeds, but the way the sunsets on the pool you might struggle to get one that stays in the sun late afternoon! Beach is a nice, but somewhat inconvenient, walk along what seem like cliffs - but it's nothing bad enough to stop you from going. Nearby beach is pretty small but does the job definitely and got some beautiful views too. Bus to Corfu town is cheap and cheerful, does the job and runs regularly. Nearby shops are really handy, nearby restaurants are good too! Plane noise can be pretty overwhelming at times but they're infrequent so nothing major to worry about. But yeah this place gets way too harsh reviews, definitely good value for money!
We stayed here for 12 nights, had a really good holiday. The hotel is very nice, the food was great, good choice. Nice clean pool and pool area. Got very busy at weekend , but then we realized it was a holiday . Our room was at the front of hotel, a bit noisy with traffic etc. Would request pool view if we booked again. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed our time there. Love Corfu 😎
I booked twin room and I expect two big beds which I saw in pictures from hotel and description. Anyway beds was smaller but still comfortable and I liked my room. Cleaning was every day. We had half board, breakfast was the same every day, but good and tasty. Dinners was excelent, the chef in hotel is real master, everything was perfect. When they realize that my teenage doughter dont eat usual meals they offer special kids menu. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, always smiling and welcoming. We arrive late at our first day and find our dinner in room. Only thing what surprize me was that in dinner drinks are not included, you should buy something from the restoraunt. Swimming pool is not very big, opening hours from 9.30 am - 8.00 pm. In pool area there are great cafe where you can find snacks, ice cream, drinks or order lunch. Of course if you live so close to airport you can hear airplanes, after two days its stops surprising you :)) Wifi the best is in swimming pool area, reception area and in restourant, in room it was average, better you can cach it on balconies. To get to the beach there are two ways 1. on left from hotel true Corfu Paradise hotel with elevator or 2. go right from hotel and you can find beautiful view and stears down. To get to town take a bus NR 2, dot forget to buy ticket (1,20 eur/ one way) in Mini Market next to hotel. Or if you want to travel around ask for bus map in Market and buy 5 eur/ day ticket in the bus. For getting to airport take bus Nr2, go to center (Faroco Square) then find bus station Nr8, but wait for airport bus Nr15 (There aren't any sign on this buss station for bus nr15, but he will come!) We enjoyed our stay in Ariti grand hotel, this was great time and of course I suggest you to stay there! :)
Just returned from a weeks holiday half board, very good hotel , spacious and very clean rooms. Dinner and breakfast meals were great with plenty of options & salads were excellent. Plenty of sunloungers and nice pool area. Great friendly staff all round. This is the perfect place to stay for a relaxing holiday with a great location, relatively quiet area with beautiful views nearby . Bus stop outside to old town Corfu perfect for an evening stroll and tipple of choice. Any negatives ; airport runway very close to hotel & "Yappy" dog next door can be vocal at times . I believe the hotel is undergoing refurbishment , some internal & external areas require a fresh lick of paint , couple of cracked tiles (easy fix) and this would be a good 4 star hotel. Would we go back - yes definitely..... thanks again to all for a great holiday .....
