We stayed here after doing a little Corfu adventure. Quite a big hotel and busy. But was very nice with the location next to the airport. Was particularly nice lounging at one of the nearby bars and watching the planes take off and land with a nice greek coffee or beer (depending on the hour!;) Recommended

stayed mid October its a bit out on its own theres a couple of restaurants down the road overlooking the airport runway the hotel is very nice with friendly staff our room was clean and comfy only negative the don't sell draught beer in the main bar
We stayed at Ariti at the end of October and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a quiet area of Kanoni, and when we visited a lot of the island was closing down for the winter, however there is a bus stop just opposite the hotel which makes getting into Corfu town easy and convenient. It has to be said that the pool at the hotel was incredibly cold when we visited, so much so that swimming was not particularly pleasant, however again this could have been due to the timing of our visit. The beds and seats around the pool are very comfortable, however I’d recommend reserving them early with towels in order to get a seat in the sun. The breakfast is okay - a decent amount of choice and the food is quite nice. We had a few meals from the pool bar however these were a little disappointing, but very cheap for a quick snack. Overall we did very much enjoy our stay and for the price we couldn’t really complain. I’d recommend visiting in the peak season when there’s plenty to do on the island.
In my opinion, the only thing '4 stars' about this hotel is the reception area and perhaps the outside bar/pool area. The rooms are tired looking and dark, with little quality in the furnishings. The hotel said that we would be upgraded to a family room due to a technical issue for a previously booked hotel room elsewhere-- imagine my surprise when the hotel room was a simple twin bed room 25 sq ft. Quite dishonest. And had to pay almost £100 for that when their normal rate is £55! When i asked where my family room was that i has been promised, i was told that the moved me to the top floor to have a lake view...a lake view?! Ive never heard that a twin room is ever misconstrued as a family room- ever! Top floor here meant a better view of the airport runway! Would not stay there again because of their dishonest nature and cheap room quality!! « Show less
Thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight holiday at this hotel, from arriving to departing the hotel staff where exceptionally professional, helpful and friendly. The double glazing blocked out the sound of the aeroplanes on the nearby runway, The selection of food at breakfast and dinner was always interesting and plentiful catering for all tastesand any requests were catered for. Would recommend and look forward to visiting again.
Spent 2 weeks there as a couple, arriving 30th September 2017. Our first impression on entering the front of the building was that it appeared quite new, but this is obviously because of a renovation of that wing of the hotel. In fact it is not new because from the outside at the rear, the building is obviously much older than at first thought, although the room we had appeared to have been recently refurbished. The room we had was very adequately appointed, and the beds were extremely comfortable and clean. The balcony overlooked the pool with a side sea view, and the table with 2 chairs were again quite sufficient. We also had quite a good view of the airport runway and enjoyed watching the take off and landing of aircraft. It is not a very busy airport with what appeared to be some dozen or so flights a day during waking hours. The bedroom has obviously recently had new balcony door/window and as a result, noise in the bedroom was minimal. We never tried the air conditioning because, although we had good weather, it was never warm enough to be required. The buffet breakfast was excellent with ample choice. There are a number of restaurants in easy walking distance, and a mini market some 50 yards from the hotel that sells most of daily requirements.. There is also an hotel shop but the range of stock was somewhat limited. The pool was a walk in one at one end which is pleasant for just a paddle, and although we found the water a little cool, some hardier young souls seemed to enjoy it. There were adequate sun beds with permanent thatched style umbrellas. Each sun bed had its own soft mattress, but this was our only bleat. At the time of the year we were there, it gets a little cold at night which caused a heavy dew, so consequently, the mattresses that are left out all night got quite wet, at least, that part that was not under the umbrella. This meant that they had to be dried off in the morning before they could be comfortably used. It would have been so simple to take them in for the night and bring them out next morning to avoid this problem at this time of the year. Pool towels are available from reception on payment of a 5 euro deposit, refundable on handing it back on leaving. There is no beach accessible directly from the hotel, but there is a quite nice beach with access through the hotel opposite which has a funicular type lift down to it. We went to look at it but never used it because we prefer lying by the pool. There is entertainment laid on 2/3 nights each week. For trips into Corfu Town some 20 minutes away, the bus stops right outside the hotel and tickets can be bought from reception or the nearby mini market for 1.20 euro one way, 1.70 if bought on the bus. The bus is every 20 minutes on weekdays but much less frequent on Sundays. Corfu Town is beautiful and interesting and well worth a visit. One area where this hotel scores well is the friendliness of the staff, from reception to bar staff and restaurant, they are excellent. This, together with the other good points, as above, meant a very pleasant stay for us.
My partner & I (24) stayed here for a week early October. The hotel itself is lovely & probably does deserve the 4 stars. However, the food was very limited. Dinner consisted of 9 different dishes plus salad. No chips no comfort food. The food was also only ever warm, never hot even when we went for dinner as soon as it opened. Outside the hotel, you are very limited to 3 restaurants/cafes/bars, 2 gift shops & 1 cocktail bar. The area is very quite, not much going on in Kanoni. The restaurants do have nice views of the sea & run way - which can be noisy even from the hotel this can be heard. There is a small beach which can be accessed through the hotel opposite or down some steps through the kanoni cafe. There is a bus stop opposite the hotel which takes you into Corfu Town, worth a trip as not much else around the hotel to do. I would not return.
Not long back from my stay here, looks nice from the outside when you pull up, nice greeting from reception and a quick checkin. Reception is nice, and has a bar with an outdoor terrace looking out onto the Runway at Corfu, so you sit and have a drink watching the planes. My room was on the second floor which is 2 floors down from reception/main entrance as the hotel is set into the cliff, noted straight away its cooler as you go down the stairs but I imagine that would be a lovely in the summer. The carpet in the corridors is like old Axminster but a relief when I opened the door the rooms are ok. furniture is nice enough, the bedding and curtains could do with updating but everything was clean. Small balcony overlooking the pool, the bathrooms are dated and we had a problem with the shower draining and the water Re appearing from a vent in the floor and flooding the bathroom. Stayed half board, food left in the room and the night of arrival and always a good selection at the buffet for breakfast and dinner, much better quality than other hotels I've stayed in, unfortunately tho there is a drinks menu on the tables at dinner not once in the whole 7 days did the waiters ask if we would like to order any drinks, normally we would order a bottle if wine every night so they missed out on quite a few extra euros there. Outside at the pool there is not many sun beds but there is a bar with seating. All staff seem friendly. We walked into Corfu town, it's do beautiful, you can get the bus from just outside the hotel, buy your tickets in any of the shops before hand, it's cheaper and you can buy in bulk as there is no dates etc on the tickets. Lovely couple of bars down the road, La cocette has brilliant views. All in all nice hotel, mire a good 3 star than a 4 star.
