Great location, noisy during the week.

Amazing location with the Tivoli gardens and city centre a short walk away. Really lovely looking hotel with comfortable beds. Our room was standard in didn't have air conditioner, the fan helped. It seems very under staffed. The staff we did meet were very nice and did what they could. Anything you needed you had to go to reception to collect. On a Friday and Sunday evening some of drinks ran out and a lone bar staff was trying to serve a busy bar with a lot of ppl waiting so couldn't go to get replacements.There were limited drinks and mixer options as they had run out. No meals available apart from breakfast. On Monday morning construction noise started at 7am and was extremely loud. Windows closed, fan and earplugs didn't manage to drown it out. There's a live music venue across the road, great place to call in, music is loud until around 10pm too. Really enjoyed my stay but with a more staffing, better noise proofing and more food and drink options it would be a lot better.

A Royal stay!

Excellent hotel - room was spacious with good A/C which was welcome in the summer heat. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. Hotel is within short walk of train station and Tivoli. Nice bar although a bit pricey! Only drawback was the shower. Bathroom was like a wet room but flooded when in use. Seemed like a design flaw.

We were disappointed. The room was underwhelming and not what we expected from the photos online nor the price we paid. We expected a more stylish room. We were underneath the restaurant so every morning we were awoken early by footsteps and chairs moving. That was frustrating for a holiday where it is nice to sleep in. Finally, it was impersonal. Before we arrived we got messages welcoming us and offering additional services. After we checked in, there was no engagement, no recognition from staff. It was all very anonymous.

Situated in a central part of Copenhagen, where there’s a few train lines serving the vicinity. It’s also really close to Tivoli. Room wise, it is not the biggest, but sufficient for a couple, or business traveler. The toilet has no bath tub, and you’ll have to make do with a small shower area, with curtains to prevent water spillage. One note, the hotel has no air conditioning in the rooms. The hotel provides fans. During summer, which was when I came, the room can get quite warm.

The property was welcoming with a fabulous staircase, lobby, seating area and bar. Reception staff was welcoming and professional both at check in and checkout. Room was very comfortable but avoid opening the window if you want to soundproof the room. The bar is truly delightful. Would suggest adding an additional bar person when busy (cocktail / pre-dinner hour) as one lady seemed overwhelmed when it became extra busy on a weekend evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly go back.

Misleading advertising: my room was advertised as being 25 square metres; it is much smaller, and the bed is also smaller than stated on website. Otherwise we liked the hotel: good location, nice decor and good breakfast.

Our rooms didn’t have separate bathroom. I wasn’t expecting that the toilet be next to the bed and wash sink will be in the room. When I raised the room quality to the front office, they claimed that I should have reviewed the pictures on Expedia site. They also claimed that I got the room I paid for. I was shocked that a 4 star hotel will have such a room. See attached pictures. I contacted Expedia next day and forced the hotel to give me a room with separate bathroom.

Great location near train stations (2) however, being Copenhagen, the sidewalks are uneven due to cobblestones so dragging suitcases is awkward. Charming, updated older (really old) building with comfortable beds and large rooms. Baggage storage for early arrivals. Bar in the lobby but, but in CPH you’re never more than 100 meters from a bar in core area. Only breakfast available. No room service at all so, when they miss cleaning your room you have to go the front desk for fresh towels and glasses. No A/C and limited ventilation because the windows only open a few inches but, they do provide a fan (which I had to fix first). Be aware that since it is a very old (historic) building, there are limitations like a tiny, very slow elevator, limited access for the physically challenged and uneven floors. Front counter staff were friendly but the business doesn’t provide for better service standards.

Hotel had charm, character and style. I also had some very good interactions with its staff, who were kind, helpful and empathetic. It was across the road from some sort of live music venue, and this did tend to be audible within the hotel itself (hence other reviews may mention noise as a negative). But I asked to be moved somewhere quieter within the building, and I was not disturbed again. The only other downside was the inadequacy of its single, small elevator. The central location was ideal for me, and my overall stay was very pleasant.

Not what I expected for the price, though nothing major was wrong and the location was good. Breakfast buffet was good, but could get crowded. (1) Check the listing carefully - not all room types have air conditioning (2) Management needs to check the rooms more often for necessary repairs (3) Did not see any porters, we were directed to take our own cases down to the storage room until we could check in (4) Lot of construction in progress, somewhat noisy - hotel is expanding to take over the whole city block. (5) Staff friendly when asked for anything, but rarely went above and beyond.
