The rooms were very dirty. We found a cockroach in the first one. The second one clearly had not been cleaned. The sheets were dirty and wrinkled, had hair and what looked like scabs in it. It was disgusting. The staff were accommodating in moving us but pretty unacceptable and honestly wish we left after finding the cockraoch

We have stayed in Cookeville several times and this was by far the best room we've ever had! Usually Holiday inn Express is too expensive for us but this time for some reason it wasn't. The room was clean. The staff was friendly. The kitchen for the breakfast was immaculate. They had a great variety of food. I just can't say enough about this hotel for the money. It's the beds are comfy. It was just great experience and we were there for a funeral so it made it much more enjoyable to have a good room. Thank you!
