My son is in his 4th year of attending Tennessee Tech University. As he plays a college sport we have travelled to and stayed in several hotels in Cookeville. Fairfield Inn & Suites is certainly one of the nicer hotel choices in the area. The hotel is nicely laid out. Has nice amenities including a pool and workout room. They provide a very nice breakfast. The rooms are up to date, clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and accommodating.
Standard Fairfield, nice and met needs. Road noise was significant. Breakfast was good, rooms were good. Good place to stay as a pass through. Indoor pool and fitness center were clean. Fitness center tvs did not work well.
This is a decent hotel. It is grouped with several others in a pretty quiet area so you don't need to be concerned about noise. I didn't like the bed because it was way too soft for me. I also would have liked to have a different chair or a loveseat because neither room chair or the desk chair were comfortable. The tub is small but it didn't leak so a soak is possible. The is a curved shower rod and magnets on the curtain so there is enough room in the shower and the floor is not soaked when you get out. We didn't try the pool but those that did seemed to be enjoying it. I was very disappointed that they no longer have a hot tub as of a month or two ago. That was the main reason I booked here over other hotels in the area. I have back issues and the hot tub is always a major factor for me in hotel choice. We were here for a funeral and all of the family stayed here with no big complaints. I can recommend this hotel but if I am in the area again I will find one with a hot tub. Likely the Country inn which is right next door.
We had to find a last minute place to stay and ended up choosing Fairfield Inn. This location was clean and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The amenities were excellent and it was perfect for an overnight stay. We have a small child and the manager and front desk clerk were sensitive to our needs and beyond helpful to us. Great location...even better customer service. Thanks for making our night comfortable and our stay pleasant!
Was in town with a few fellow classmates for a ASME convention at Tennessee Tech. Was blown away by this hotel. It was very quiet and kind of secluded which I liked. It was located in such a great town and the people were so nice that it’s been making me want to go back ever since. I hope I get to return to this town one day. The room I had was way above my expectations for a hotel and I was able to leave my computer and stuff out without worrying about something happening to it. Staff was great and the breakfast in the morning was really good as well
This is the best Fairfield Inn &Suites we've ever stayed at. The facility is spotless. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was fantastic. What a selection of food, including fresh stawberries, figs, dried cherries, walnuts, dried apricots, ect.
I stayed here for three nights and four days while I'm Cookeville for a conference. The room was clean and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room smelled a little musty but otherwise very clean! The breakfast was excellent and the pool was nice!
Our family of 5 stayed here in a 2 queen studio with sofa bed. The room was good sized with a very large bathroom. It was in a quiet location and there was great water pressure in the shower. The sofa bed actually had linens on it - we only had to request a pillow. Breakfast included omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, cold cereal, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, tea, dessert breads, bagels, fresh fruit, milk and yogurt. Our only negative is that even though our reservation was for 5, there weren't enough towels in the room. Other than that it was a great stay. If we're ever in the area again we'll definitely stay here.
This hotel was definitely clean and quiet. My only complaint is the manager at the front desk when we checked in. My husband and I were in town for a marathon on Sunday and wanted a late checkout to come back and shower after the race. I am a platinum member, so I have a guaranteed 4pm checkout (except at Marriott resorts and conference centers...then it is only "if available"). On check in, the manager was initially refusing to give us the 4pm checkout, stating that it was only if available. We nearly had to show him the policy online before he agreed to give the checkout. He wasn't quite the friendly face we are accustomed to at Marriott properties. Unfortunately, we had to get up too early for the race to enjoy breakfast on the weekend, so I can't comment as to the selection or quality. I wish breakfast had started 30 minutes earlier. Bottom line, I would stay at the Towneplace next door. We stayed at it just after it opened and it was modern, staff was friendly, and they had great breakfast. I know they are all Marriott properties, but it would be my choice over the Fairfield.
Stayed here overnight and had the best stay! We were greeted by the most cheerful, friendly and helpful front desk clerk! (I wish I had gotten her name). We asked for extra blankets and they were waiting for us as requested. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones we've had, and the attendant was again cheerful, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well prepared.
