Everything was very clean, mattress was comfortable, good shower, breakfast was good, and very pleasant staff. We were only there for one night as we teaveled home, so we were pleased. We will stay there again should we be passing through.
Very clean room and bathroom, plenty of towels, great breakfast the following morning, eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, danish/Donuts, cereal, milk, juice and coffee. Evening and morning desk clerks were excellent!
The hotel was neat and clean with friendly service. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone traveling through the area!
As a family of 6, it's often hard to find hotels to accommodate us. We needed to come in for 1 night to make my brothers 9 am graduation from the nearby university. Comfort Suites was easy to deal with & very helpful. 2 queen beds & a pull out couch provide ample room for our family.
I was travelling to Missouri and spent one night at this property. I often stay in Cookeville while travelling but first time at this property. I usually stay at the Clarion. The Comfort Suites was very clean and has a wonderful staff. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and the newly renovated rooms are spotless. I usually use the jacuzzi when I stay at a motel, and did at this property as well. The hotel was not busy and the jacuzzi was fine. It is rather small, so could be crowded or unavailable if the rooms were full. The breakfast was good, better than most Choice properties. Although the fare is similar, it seemed more care was taken in preparation here to make sure it was good, hot and presented well (typical processed eggs, sausage, biscuits gravy waffles...) but a cut above most. By comparison: The Clarion is more outdated in terms of rooms and furnishings, although the Executive wing has similar quality beds to the Comfort Suites. While Clarion is clean, Comfort is spotless. Comfort has newer and more comfortable beds and pillows, but Clarion has a huge indoor pool with waterslide and jacuzzi (an old Holidome) and an on-site sports bar. And there is more choice for breakfast as they have a huge area and full kitchen. For cleanliness, comfort and staff, I would recommend the Comfort Suites. For a fun night with kids where adults can have a drink without leaving the hotel, it would be the Clarion. Both great properties, but at my advanced age, it will be the Comfort from now on.
We stayed on night and the room was clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was cold and did not feel like 80 degrees. The spa was warm, but the jets are at your backside and did not have any power even when the button was pushed to make them come on more. The sauna was a great idea and we wanted to get in and enjoy, but the floor was dirty and there was trash. It also was a dry sauna so we did not like it as it made it a little hard to breathe. We we woke up around 3:30 am to the sound of the fire alarm in the hall. No one came up to tell us what was going, I had to ask someone in the hall. The breakfast was okay with eggs, sausage, biscuit and waffles. It was an average hotel and we would stay again if we were going to be in the area for a night.
I would rate this hotel 3.5 * but that isn't possible. We had reservations at the Holiday Inn Express which was overbooked so they paid our stay here. Everything was fine, but not exceptional. Breakfast was fine, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I notice the price is considerably less than the HI Express so taking that into consideration, it is a good value.
Room was ready early the receptionist and room keepers were all very polite and on top of things working hard. Beds were comfortable as well thanks you all! It takes a good team to keep a busoness going and you all seemed to work well with each other!
There was worms of some kind swinging in the indoor pool. The sign said the pool was heated to 80° the water was way colder than that. The hot tub was way to hot. The bathroom ceiling is flaking off. The second night there we had to remove some the ceiling that was laying in the tub. You can tell its a old hotel that the did a few things to make it look nice. But they need to fix the problems instead of coving them up. All three of the hotels there were full The first night. That made parking a nightmare. There is not enough parking for The hotels. The night shift guy at the desk looked like a homeless man. His hair was not combed or styled and very oily. His shirt was untucked and hung around his knees. We ate The breakfast there the first morning about 8am. The biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, and potatoes were cold. You can tell the biscuits had been frozen for awhile. The gravy is some type of mix you just add water to and mix it up. The scramble eggs was weird. On a good note the staff was very friendly. My only argument about the staff was they didn't try to make anything right with us after we reported the worms or the ceiling. And the night shift not looking professional. I will never be staying there again.
Clean, handicapped accessible room. Nice helpful staff. We will use it again on our Next trip or possibly on our way home.Enjoyed early dinner and cocktails on Saturday night at the Cooke House. Fall colors are beautiful.
