This is my third time staying at this property in the last few years, and while I love the location and the staff has always been great, the building itself is in serious need of repairs. It was raining while we were there (not all that heavily) and there was serious roof leakage going on in the hallway outside the lobby. This was not only inconvenient and uncomfortable, it was really rather unsafe. The whole time we were staying in our room there was some sort of loud knocking sound coming from inside the walls - not sure if it was the plumbing or what, but it was rather annoying. The rooms themselves are starting to look a little run down as well. I am a pretty easygoing person when it comes to this sort of stuff as I travel a lot and really just want someplace decently comfortable to sleep and do some work - but I do think a renovation is in order.

Christy the manager was ultimately very unprofessional and rude. I called the front desk to indicate that the tub was filthy. She was willing to have house keeping come over immediately. I indicated that I wasn’t prepared to have them over then but later would be fine. Asked for points for the inconvenience. She graciously offered 10,000 pts or a free day. Happy with this. In keeping with courtesy of Marriotts. Later called to have house keeping come. Noted that the person answering was the woman who hung up the phone on me earlier in the week, twice! The second time she made it clear that she would hang up again and then she did so... another story another bad review. Took awhile for house keeping to come. Assumed immediate service as offered earlier. Nope! Had to call back. Still no housekeeping. Called again, reminding her that I expected some over by now as previously she was willing to send over ASAP and I needed a shower. SHOCKED to be told I’m not giving you any more points! What? Did I ask for more points? Make a long story short the woman who hung up on me recognized me and shared a false story of being threatened. So without asking me the customer any questions Management (Christy) made the decision that I’m a certain Calibre of person and therefore assumed I was out to get more points. Is that why there was hesitation to send up housekeeping? Hoping I would call back complaining and asking for more points? Wow! No wonder the front desk clerk was ok with hanging up on a potential customer- not once but two times. I could have been the CEO of Marriott testing customer service. Note: as a mother of two girls, I did warm that young woman that she should be happy that I’m not the wrong kind of person whom she hung up on. I know how frustrated I was given the slippery conditions of the road the night I travelled into Columbus and while on the road reaching out for a place to stay. Not everyone is decent it’s not like she couldn’t be found. Finally, Christy informed me the the manager at the Residence Inn, Rob had an issue with me. Well let’s assume he did. How unprofessional to make every effort to say you the customer suck! By the way, both my husband and I have stayed at Robs hotel and have left excellent reviews. He is a professional. Top notch. Musu from housekeeping came immediately after my last communication. She was polite and cleaned the tub thoroughly. If in the Worthington Columbus area, do yourself a favor DO NOT STAY AT TOWNE PLACE SUITES HOTEL.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, which was nice but definitely not spacious. The bathroom has two doors (one for the tub and toilet area and one for the sink area), but the tub area was so small that the door didn't open all the way. The grounds were well kept, but the interior of the building was a little worn. The door/magnetic lock to the building was an issue our entire trip, always requiring several tries before it worked. The front desk staff was always super helpful (they did mention that the exterior door locks were due to be replaced soon for instance). To light sleepers, please note that this hotel is next to railroad tracks and the trains are LOUD when they go through at night.

Folks you can do a lot better with your money. We arrived on Friday evening for 2 nights and did not receive any maid service at all. We complained but all he said did was say yep they did it again. I asked him why this was happening and he shook his head. Very thin construction resulted in hearing ever foot step in the room above. My mistake was booking too late to get my normal Hyatt Place reservation on a home OSU game weekend.

I was here for a few days and found this place to be a little shabby, needing some updating. The furniture always seemed sticky to me. The breakfast was OK. The outdoor pool was a little small and the entire site seemed to be rather cramped. The rates were fair and there were plenty of restaurants close-by.

Please do not stay here! Rooms and entire building were very disgusting and dirty.. Stain on couch, bedding, smushed bugs on walls. Thought I was in a horror movie. please save your money..stayed in a holiday in express in Dayton ohio for less and it was so much better.

A little on the shabby side. Rooms were okay, but a little run down. Breakfast lounge was cramped and uncomfortable. It's cheap, though... and the staff was very nice. If they refreshed this place, it could be much better.

Was very happy with our stay. They had a small pool. Mike the front desk host was VERY polite and super helpful. They offer breakfast from 7-10 included in your stay. They room was very clean with full stove, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Movie theater is within walking distance as are a couple restaurants. They also have a triple A discount rate.

Just stayed at this location and loved it! Cinema and plenty of eating options close by. This hotel is designed for those staying longer periods (3-7days) as all rooms have small kitchen. Nice hot breakfast!! Only negative is all access doors are old, wood frame coming off. They along with carpet in hallways need freshening. Rooms good. Small stains on shower curtain and 1 towel; told management and they were replacing.

I'm happy to have found a bargain but I think I know why I was able to do so. It's an aged TownePlace...decent condition but certainly aged / worn. The night staff was friendly but did manage to accidentally assign someone else to my room (with a working key). All worked out, but that was a pretty big whoopsie. Note: there is a train crossing VERY CLOSE to the hotel and two or three trains came through after 12AM. I don't wake easily but they got me each time. The beds were comfy, though.
