The motel 8 in Columbus was much better than the 1 stars it was getting on the reviews. Great valve. It gives you want you need in a motel room. Comfortable bed, pleasant service, clean with no roaches or bed bugs, and a nice shower. Yes its very dated, but for $72 you can't beat it.

The bathroom was filthy with mold in between the tiles and around the soap holder. Hallway carpets and room carpets also dirty with shoe prints. I took pictures but don’t see an option to upload them to this review. Lots of homeless people walking around makes you worry about parking your car. Michelle at the front desk was nice, but due to the dirty conditions and the sketchy location we won’t be coming back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has a very relaxing at home feel. The restroom was clean and well stocked. Iron and ironing board and big microwave was helpful. This place is highly recommended to tell others about. Clean quiet and comfortable 😌

Leary of area

The place had a very weird smell in the entryway. Turned to the television on; most of the channels did not have sound. Was told that they were notified of the problem the day before but service hasn’t been repaired yet.(they didn’t tell me about it until I called them on the house phone). Other guests trying to check in were refused a room that were paying with cash.

The hotel was not clean-floors were sticky and hallway smelled of old smoke of various types. bed was clean; bathroom had been cleaned recently. Nice that it is offered as a “halfway” house - just make that known to the passing traveler. Hostess and host were very pleasant
