It is convenience since lots of places close by. However, the room is musty smell to it, I could smell cigarette/smoke from window outside. I could smell perfume out in the hall. I was healthy when I got to the hotel Friday, but by Saturday afternoon, I started to cough a lot until Sunday morning I left. I was not thrilled about this as my nose is so sensitive!! As for breakfast, not enough tables/ chairs. Food was just blah for me. I noticed people like waffles but it not me. I like to have meat, but the hard eggs, no mayo or anything to give a taste. I had to break the shells, nothing to wipe with. No juice too. I guess that what we get for getting cheap hotel but not for me again. Actually, the place I been there before as i Used to like it, but not anymore! It used to be Western Hotel and thought they remodeled some, but it needs remodel big time! like TV, wow!! fuzzy tv and I cannot watch it. Makes my eyes goes NUTS!! Glad I was stuck with grading! One Mexican place near by was a bomb!! I love it! You have to go there if you stay at this place!! {Casa Hacienda Grill} I would love to go back or drive there just to eat but I live approx 2 hours away. I will this coming Dec but not at this hotel though. Dont want my health act up again from the smell. I think I am allergic to that hotel. roach? I am not sure if that what I saw but yikes! Bed was not really comfy but enough to be able to sleep.

When we first checked In our toilet was broken and the fridge did not work (no cooling ). They switched our room which was nicer. But the electronic door locks didn't function on that side of hotel. Just inconvenient stuff.

Very very disappointing. Not good neighborhood. Was rated high on Orbitz which was very deceiving. Towels felt like sandpaper. Overall, was not up to date. Very unfriendly staff but mostly not good quality. Would be sceptical to secure another hotel/motel from Orbitz due to their on-line advertising and rating. Junkie place!

Decent for the price, small beds, have to walk next door outside to the pool and work out equipment. Not a lot of choices at breakfast: no yogurt, or any meat. Maintenance never came to our room when toilet was clogged when we arrived Friday, left Sunday and still no maintenance.

First night was acceptable for what it is. But second day I found bugs on the bed. Immediately checked out early. Don't recommend.

This place just screams budget, which is why I picked it and was scolded by the wife for. The thing that was most irritating was the strong smell of smoke in the room, my eyes were watering. Spend an extra 30 and get a better hotel.

Rude my orbits booking didn't cover a cash deposit I had to make. Seemed dirty and scary at first, but I survived. Terrible breakfast. Pool looked good but didn't get to go in. Not a return stayer here

Close to HWY 71 and many eateries. No complaints at all except for the smoking smell in the corridor.

Nice up to date decor. Very clean. Security concerns.

NIce clean room with fridge and microwave, very good wifi. A few miles from OSU (Ohio State University) Will stay here again. The only complain is that some hallways smell cigarette smoke.

By the design of the hotel, it was a top notch hotel in probably the 80's. Very nice, but dated design, large rooms, friendly staff. The parking lot was very dark (in need of better lighting) which would make it safer for guests and deter possible crime, the AC unit in my room was also loud (making it a little difficult to sleep), and the free breakfast was basic (waffles, toast, hard to peal hard boiled eggs, and cereal). However, for the price, it is a good place to stay.

Stayed at this hotel, checked in at 9pm very fast. It had a very safe parking lot with security monitoring the premises. It also has a nice Chinese restaurant, but it closes at 930pm. Great for passing by or staying and enjoying columbus. I would recommend you check in early and call before hand before you make a reservation as I did see some issues with other guest.

This hotel is in an easy to find location near I-71 and I-270 northeast of Columbus. My room was very clean with a nice bathroom. Breakfast was better than most with hard-boiled eggs, waffles and cereal. I stayed on a Sunday night and was frustrated that the pool closed at 8 pm(10 pm on other nights). I was able to get to OSU in about 20 minutes during morning rush hour.

Considering the low cost for the stay, i was totally surprised at how nice everthing was. The food was great and the pool and exercise area was what one would expect in a membership gym.

Bring $50 cash for your room deposit. The staff was annoyed that they had to check me in. The facility was otherwise clean but wow the front desk people were hateful. No worries, I just won't come back.

This hotel pictures are lipstick on a pig. Workout facilities are outside in a different building and it's a health club. Didn't open until 8 pm because staff didn't arrive. Breakfast was low quality. Hotel is very old.

Hotel staff was nice but hotel was a little dated. Had knats in room and the room had an odd smell.

We are sorry to hear about your experience at the hotel. We are a smoke free property and guests must go outside to smoke. I am sorry for the sensitivity in your room. We would like to show you a better experience in December if given the chance.

We appreciate you staying with us at the Magnuson Grand Hotel. The amenities are an added bonus and we are pleased you enjoyed them. We do apologize for the smoke smell in a smoke free hotel. Policies are strictly enforced.
