To start with the good, the recreational amenities were the ONLY plus to this facility. I thought the rec area decor was quaint, the pool, billiards tables, putting green, Jacuzzi and game room were nice. That's where the good ends unfortunately. Our reservation could not be found in their computer system because it kept crashing. Although there was a print out copy available, they could not immediately get us a room despite my multiple calls in the weeks preceding that successfully confirmed the reservation. Furthermore, I was told prior to my check in date that the hotel was sold out and an upgrade was not possible. However, during the chaos of my check in, I was told a deluxe king suite was, in fact, available and because of the reservation mix up, they would put us in a room on the 4th floor instead of on the 4th but would not comp us a free upgrade despite their mix up. ??? I thought they were "sold out"? For the record, do NOT book a room on the first floor. Many of those rooms are on the periphery of the pool and rec area and would likely be very noisy and disruptive to resting guests if the hotel were, in fact, at full capacity. I'm not sure what the hotel defines as "sold out", but by the number of guests we saw, and cars in the parking lot, the hotel could not have been sold out or even close to it. This hotel has so much potential, but they are so far from reaching it in regards to customer service and general maintenance. Not dirty, just not well maintained.

2nd floor has no elevator access, which would not be a problem if given that information before booking/showing up. Customers could then search other possibilities of finding more suitable arrangements. TRAVELING WITH HANDICAPPED OR ELDERLY usually doesn't cause a problem due to handicap accessibility laws; therefore, imagine my surprise when I found that our room was the farthest down a hall on 2nd floor with access only by stairs. My compliments to the young male desk clerk who offered to carry all of our bags for us.

We booked total of 4 rooms for a birthday weekend because of the indoor pool, put put,and pool table, game room. First there was problem with room as far as gonna book in outside room they fixed that problem. Then pool got closed down for several hours after check in and infant pooped in pool. Put put balls were broke with only toddler size golf clubs. Ping pong table missing balls. Pool tables were extra charge. Rooms were nice but wouldn't have spent money for kids to sit in room with nothing to do. Disappointed with the stay

The only problem was the wifi signal didn't reach our room on the third floor.

Hotel bar has an unfriendly staff. Their hours of operation were a little tight, 5:00-10:00.

It is a decent hotel with an awesome pool area. The restaurants food is not very good. Some staff are friendly, others not so much.

We had a great stay at the Clarion in Columbuis, Indiana! Had a really good stay from beginning to end! The staff was very cordial, and we loved the food in the breakfast buffet. Thank you for a great experience at your hotel.

lots of beeping coming from a scissor lift in atrium all day long both days of stay

Saturday afternoon/evening the pool area was one HUGE party. Evidently a popular place to book birthday parties for children. We looked forward to Sunday afternoon to have a quiet time at the spa pool. This was ruined by an obnoxious man and two children. Realizing the hotel cannot control their guests we just figured our bad luck luck, until a hotel employee came and gathered them from the pool area. They weren't guests after all, but friends of the hotel employee. We would have had an hour to ourselves had it not been for the freeloaders. Coffee never available it lobby..told that only Managers could refill the machine. (6:00 am no coffee?). Sunday's dinner in restaurant was disgusting. Breakfast Monday morning was equally disgusting..but at least we didn't have to pay for it.

Good location, fun for kids, easy to get to. Friendly staff. Very clean.

We had a very nice time with our kids and grand-kids! We did have some difficulty with the cooling system and had to change rooms. The manager aboard was extremely accommodating and worked to insure our stay was a good experience. We do plan to return as it is a place with a lot of character and the staff very attentive to needs!

Clean, well maintained hotel. The only complaint was the size of the bed. They seemed smaller than usual for a double. I did request a kingsize, but we only stayed one night so it was not a big deal. the restaurant in the hotel is very good. the make most of the food there and is very fresh.

We had the unfortunate experience of some real party animals next door to us on the second night. My husband called down to the front desk and they were already on top of the issue. The group was quieted down immediately and order was restored. Thanks for watching out for the comfort of your guests.

All was great except the free breakfast buffet could have had a fresher fruit bowl.

Great Hotel. We really love it... We would like go again

Close to everything, good hotel, a bit confusing to navigate, good for the money.

Room was large, clean and comfortable. Convenient to downtown. Restaurant was average at best.

Room was great liked the old time style everything was AAA defiantly will go back!

Took my daughter and her friend for a girls getaway .. The hotel is absolutely beautiful.. All staff was very friendly and the room very clean! They stayed on the pool the whole time! The putt Putt and game room were a bonus not expected!! Will definitely stay again!

We came for a small convention located at the hotel. Very helpful staff, great entertainment with swimming and games, kids loved exploring the place. Price was very good. Rooms were ok (nothing bad, nothing special).
