Had to take a trip to see family so chose Charwood as my go to place. Was really surprised this time. They had taken my reservation as a one bedroom, but entered me as reserving a TWO bedroom so gave it to me at same rate as a single! This has to be equivalent to a 1200 to 1400 square foot apartment! You just cannot beat this place to stay compared to any in the surrounding area. The have changed policy for late arrivals(after their normal office hours) to have The Hotel Indigo on 4th street in Columbus Indiana to handle your checkin if you arrive late at night. As far as slow internet speed reported by another poster, I've stayed at a few of their buildings and have never experienced any internet problems whatsoever. It's comparable to my internet service at home so I guess it all depends upon what you are trying to do on your electronics. I don't stream movies or download a whole lot of music so it seems to work great for my email and browsing adequately enough! The office hours here are Mon-Thu 8am-7pm Fri 8am-5pm Sat 9am-2pm Sun Closed. They do use electronic keys for the rooms and if one malfunctions after office hours you would need to contact the Hotel Indigo to have a new one made and physically go get it too. FYI - never keep your room key in close proximity to your cell phone and you should be okay. Otherwise, key your car key on you at all times. I've had other places I've stayed at that the room key went haywire because of being in my pocket with my room key. You can only book through Charwood's website or by phone. The only thing that Hotel Indigo does is handle late arrivals or early departures. Once you try this place, you won't use anyone else in the area for the value you get here! It's definitely big enough for a family to stay together here without renting two rooms elsewhere. Many do have a small attached outside patio area and I rented one single unit that had a mini sized stack washer and dryer.

We stayed in a 2 bed suite here for 2 weeks while i was working in Columbus and really enjoyed this place. The suite was immaculate with large comfortable beds and was nice and quiet. There is a massave Walmart and really good restuarants all within 5 mins walking distance. We had the indoor pool all to ourselves which we used everday and thoroughly enjoyed, The only negative point was the poor internet speed which wasnt a big deal for me as i actually didnt mind unplugging. We'll definitley stay here again when we return.

The apartments are very large nice bed. You have a full bathroom and walk-in closet. You have a small kitchen Galley Style but it does have an open bar. There is a small dining room and a balcony. There is also a small living room with couch and chair. The place is clean. However the TV in the bedroom in the TV in the living room are both very old and sometimes that reception is bad. Also the Wi-Fi connection is on and off and very weak in the afternoon or evening.

Charwood Suites(used more so by visiting business people on short term employment) provides overnight or long term options for those that want furnished apartment style living cheaper than most common hotel rooms. You get a one, two, or three bedroom apartment with one bathroom, fully furnished kitchen(stove/oven, full size fridge, microwave, and breakfast bar), living room, and dining room(table and 4 chairs). They have a beautiful indoor pool in a separate building that is rarely used, but well kept, an adjoining exercise room, and the property area is large enough to get in a short walk. It is located just behind Menards and Walmart on Highway 46West just outside of the city of Columbus. I have used this place for many years now and the rooms are constantly renovated to keep them in tip top condition. The staff is on site during daytime hours up until 5PM, but late checkin is available through the Comfort Inn close by. Trust me in trying this place. I have used a few of the neighboring hotels and they can't compare to the size of rooms you get for a cheaper price. It is definitely a better option for those that want a bit more privacy especially for a family of four, five, or more or the person that just likes a wider space of comfort. I might add that you do not hear ANY noise during nighttime hours for those that are light sleepers and I have seen some people there with pets. You won't be disappointed! If you have a larger family, call for reservation well in advance as they are used by the top companies in the area for short term executives and business people. They do rent rooms by the day, week, and month. My corporate rate was 84/night for one bedroom and 100/night for two bedroom.

Sits back off the main road so it is very quiet. Rooms are spacious and very clean. We had a 1-bedroom unit with kitchen/dining area, living area and private patio. Only negative about this place is that there is no blow dryer in the bathroom. Definately will stay here again as it's a nice place and great value.

Needing a room for an unexpected visit due to a funeral I called Charwood. They hooked me up with what they called a standard room and the only difference between it and the executive room I normally get was having no patio. The room was just as large and it was equipped the same. At 80 dollars a night(corporate rate), you get a one bedroom apartment. It was a plus this time to have a washer/dryer combo in a small closet next to the bathroom. They told me that there will be some upgrades in remodeling coming to many of the rooms this fall even though I find that their conditions there are supreme compared to many of the Hilton and Marriot competitors. Thanks again Charwood for another quality stay!

My husband and I recently and rapidly sold our home subjecting us to five weeks of unanticipated homelessness which began when our buyers took possession and ended with closure on our new residence. A friend of similar circumstances recommended Charwood Suites as a temporary housing alternative. With no other viable options we quickly instituted this one. Although we were unable to personally select the unit due to the immediacy of our need, the three apartments we inhabited at various intervals were clean and well maintained. I mention three as our first unit suffered air conditioning issues which proved fatal, an unfortunate event with temperatures reaching an unprecedented high this summer. The office staff, particularly Megan, were extremely understanding and accommodating allowing us to occupy secondary, climate controlled units during the length of our stay. Megan also compensated us financially for the inconveniences incurred, a much appreciated offset to our rather unfortunate circumstances. I can also attest to the prompt and professional attention we always received from every employees with whom we had contact. Day to day concerns were immediately addressed and reconciled with only a phone call or brief visit to the front office. While our situation was clearly not ideal, Charwood and their outstanding team exceeded our expectations. I would certainly recommend their suites to anyone requiring interim housing.

This was my fourth or fifth stay over the years, and I have to say that the rooms need some serious attention.... Bugs, Mold on the windows, and the shower curtain needs to be fixed. Now for the other areas in the building, the hallways need to be cleaned of all the spiders, (this also goes for the patios). They also need to update their Washers and dryers. Come on Charwood, you get enough money from all of the military, and Cummins people that stay here fix the place up! Oh, and you have free wi-fi, but it is slow a lot of the time, and as a student I need the internet, and we went for at least a day with no internet. It has the potential to be a great place to stay, but you need to clean it up more than you do. Not even sure if you will read or care about this post but I am posting it anyway.

Suites are clean, spacious and comfortable, with full kitchen, TV in LR and Bedrooms. Multiple family members stayed here - some in one bedroom units, some in two bedroom units. Dog friendly with plenty of green space. Did not use pool or laundry. Don't be put off by limited office hours - check-in was easy at the Comfort Inn nearby. All four families were very pleased. Would definitely recommend.

Reserved multiple units. Grounds and interior halls need attention. Rooms in reasonable condition though shower needed a much more thorough cleaning. Wall paint would help improve the appearance of the buildings on the property. Disappointing.
