Lovely, Updated Room

I've stayed at Days Inn many times. This visit, I was very impressed with the updates. Beautifully done, with new beds, bathroom, stool, shower; new lighting fixtures, mirrors, seating, tile in entryway and bathroom (very nice feature), and lastly, beautiful carpet. I always find it quiet at the end of the evening, making sleeping enjoyable.

Overall the building was not unclean, just an older building but we did not have any additional sitting available in the room except for the desk chair, but the worst of it was that at around 3am, someone had a key and opened our door, it hit the stop lock thankfully, but we jolted out of bed, by the time we got to the door it it was alarming that it was open. Nobody was in the hall that we could see through the peephole but we just immediately shut the door and didnt go out at first. I looked out the window and four guys were getting into a vehicle and leaving. I did eventually go downstairs and ask the front desk if there were cameras in the hallway, no, so they did say they could see if the door was opened but then said they didnt know how to use the system, but then said they didnt see anything. I had them change the key for another one. The next morning the vehicle next the the parking spot the guys left out of their window was busted. There were beer bottles and boxes throughout the parking lot. I couldnt go back to sleep after the incident because I didnt feel safe.

Staff checking in/out were very nice, room was clean and bed was nice but could easily hear noise happening around throughout the night. Breakfast was set up amazingly with warm sausage & eggs, make your own waffles, and other options. Some things needing repairs here and there and hot tub was out of order.
