I had a great experience in my stay here for a year! The staff is very friendly and accommodated me since I am legally blind. In many ways like whenever I needed a room to study or test in for my training, they accommodated me with a place to do this throughout the hotel. They have a nice swimming pool, a nice gym where I did some heavy workouts, whenever I misplaced my keys they would bring additional keys to me as soon as possible, they also accommodated me with extension cords for my computers, daily housekeeping, they have a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner, great place for celebrations.
Have stayed here several times with no issues. This particular stay was full of them, which in the interest of good taste I will not go into. Anyway, after several tries at resolving them I managed to speak to a front desk employee named Joe Shelton. Joe resolved all of the problems immediately and did so in a courteous and professional manner. Because I usually find dedicated employees like this I manage to stay here on trips to Jefferson City.
Overall it's an okay hotel. Nothing really stands out. The Atrium in the center is neat to look at but that's about it. We stayed one night. Fairly clean room, decent size. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking. In the morning we had the breakfast buffet. It was $12 a person. While the staff was SUPER nice the food was blah...I've had better complimentary breakfast at other hotel chains.
A colleague and myself stayed here for a business trip. I was counting down the time before we could check out- not a good experience! There were several construction employees at the front desk and it made us uneasy because they were right there as everyone was checking in and getting their room keys. The room itself was dated, run down, and dirty. The rooms need DEEP CLEANED. A renovation is really needed. The pullout couch mattress in our room had what I thought was a urine stain, but after a closer look, it looked like blood. I was just really grossed out by the stay and would never recommend this hotel, especially for the price!
my wife made our reservation but put it my name using her credit card. when she tried to check in they would not let her even though she had the card used to make the reservation. When I arrived still had difficulty checking in. Poorly handled.
This used to be one of the grandest hotels to stay in Jeff City. Sad, Sad, Sad! Parking is horrible! It needs a major face lift. Jeff City is in need of a better hotel if this is the best they can offer. Elevator buttons need to clean. I hated to touch them. No real lounge area to sit. This hotel will keep over night lobbyist away.
My room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I had not stayed here for 4 years but was pleased with the accommodations. The meeting facilities were great. The hotel is a little dated, but you can't beat the location, within walking distance of the Capitol and state office buildings.
This Hotel is what you would expect for the price. The rooms could be updated but are clean, the staff is nice and it is a great location if you have MO. State business to attend to. The Banquet Hall was nice, Banquet food was good.
Not as nice as it used to be. Reserved a block of rooms but they didn't hold them for us. Our group ended up staying at different locations. Rib buffet was terrible. Alarm clock was broken as well as the phone. Remote had buttons missing.
Had a great stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Had minor difficulties using the key card as the door mechanism provided different indications that it unlocked from what I'm used to at other hotels. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. Had a good view of the capital building and the Missouri River.
