Hampton Inn Silver Spring

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Big rooms, comfortable, gift/snack shop open 24 hours, free breakfast. Only valet parking but parking is easy in the area. Close to shops and restaurants as well as the subway.

Nice hotel. Close to downtown Silver Spring. Many food and shopping options (it will be crowded). The only negative was that I received three different checkout times ... my Orbitz itinerary said 11a, the hotel's literature in the room stated noon, and the woman that woke me on my last day said 10a.

Hotel was located close to a function, and staff was nice. When we got to the room and closed the door, the 2" gap between the door and floor became the focal point. Yes, one side (the closer side) had a 2" gap between the door and floor. The hinge side of the door it was over an inch. This made for a very uncomfortable stay. Why the gap, could someone see under there? Who knows, who cares--won't risk it. Stuffed the bottom of the door with towels and tried to shower and sleep. Won't be returning here for the next function in 3 weeks.

Good breakfast selection. Nice size rooms. Very clean hotel & helpful staff

This hotel is a very nice hotel that is convenient to everything you need. Whether its to go to the movies, get a bite to eat or to grab a few items from the store. As soon as you check in the staff is always courteous and effienct in getting your reservation and checking in quickly. The hotel room with itself its full of space and clean. I wish they had a min fridge to keep cold drinks in. But the pool and jucuzzi was very nice clean and warm. The breakfast buffet is very good and the food is nice and hot. The only drawback was my interracial friends came to swim with me and some of the people at the pool were very rude.

It was very nice. Convenient to businesses and local restaurants.

Excellent home away from home. I truly like the location and the friendly atmosphere.

Good location and courteous staff. Complimentary breakfast and Internet are good. Neatness to restraints and shopping places is good

We love Hampton Inns. Always comfortable, best bed in the world. The room was worn. The carpet had weird holes, the dresser had deep scratches. The toilet seat was loose. I had to call & stop by the desk 4 times before the seat was fixed. While we were there, we put the towel on a hook & the hook fell down. It hadn't been fixed before we left - 2 days later. One elevator had a loud fan ( never fixed) and one was always out of service. Breakfast was fine, but it was very busy & the two attendants were scrambling to keep it stocked. Great location, but my family had a hard time finding it, because the high signs were only on the building & no street signage. I heard that they are going to refurbish, but it wasn't at this point in time. Parking was expensive, considering that it is surrounded by public parking lots.

Breakfast was nice! Room was more than acceptable. No fridge :-(

I enjoy the breakfast that was available through out the stay and the fact that the hotel was in the middle of everything

City and Hotel staff was fantastic....................................................................................................

It was my birthday weekend and the staff was great. It didn't take long to check in and find my room. My King Size bed and room was pretty good. It had lots of space and have a great lounge chair for company. The location of the hotel is a few steps away from the, metro, bus, food places and CVS.

I definitely did not expect a room in Maryland, in November, with no heat . They tried three times to fix it, but the heater continued to blow out cold air. The extra blankets were a nice gesture but getting out of bed, washing up and getting dressed in a cold room is no fun.

The hotel was great! Only stayed one night but it was close to the metro and many restaurants. Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was nice and clean. The location was great which was only a 10 minute walk to Silver Spring metro station.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, convenient location. Highly recommended using the valet parking; very little room to maneuver at the entrance.

the hotel was nice and clean, with a very good hot breakfast. Downtown Silver Springs is just a few blocks away and has many attractions for evening entertainment. Public transportation is accessible with a moderate walk (3+ blocks to metro station) but it was frigid outside during most of my stay which made the walk and outdoor wait a little uncomfortable.

Professional staff. Clean rooms. Good breakfast . Good price!

It was managble and the room was very comfortable.
