Room #601. Upon my arrival by 12am in the morning, there were hairs everywhere in the bathroom: on the wall, on the door, on the shower liner and on the floor. The nasty part of this, was that the room attendants cleaned for 2 good days, and maybe inspected by a supervisor, but those hairs were there INTACT. When I called about it the last night(because I was busy), the lady at the FD told me that a "manager" will reach out of me, but nobody talked to me about that till I checked out, stayed in the lobby for an hour, before my shuttle came. I was very disappointed. As a hospitality man, the Hotel offers something to the guest, because, 1 hair is not OK, but I can close my eyes on that. BUT, many hairs in the same bathroom? Unbelievable! I think I didn't deserve that and something needs to be done to compensate my living in disgusting bathroom for 3 nights. Thanks.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Room was clean as well. One major issue was that thermostat would not control temperature. Even when placed it at 60deg, still hot air coming out. Had to turn it off completely and it was still hot all night.

Very nice but why no complimentary breakfast? The room was nice but the beds were small.

Hotel is in an area under a lot of construction, so it was noisy early in the morning. comfortable bed, great roomy bathroom. Only one bath towel for two occupants. Called to have one extra towel delivered but never arrived, had to use hand towels after showering, not good customer service.

Overall good experience. Staff friendly, professional & provided accommodations appropriately for my issues encountered during my 1 nite stay. But, the parking was expensive - maybe can be discounted/comp for registered hotel guests.

All staff were very friendly and helpful. The crew in the restaurant was the best customer service by far.

No heat in lobby, bar, or restaurant. Room key failed to work twice a day and had to be reprogrammed. Wireless a total disaster. We spent literally hours trying to get on line.

I expected more from the doubletree brand.. The room only blew cold air. I had no heat for the cold winter night. The shower was warm at best. Hot water was nonexistent.

First room was nice except for the fact that it was near to another room where a toilet overflowed and wetted the hallway carpet. Smell was unpleasant and dank near doorway in room. Then fans were running to dry the carpet. Called front desk and asked to be moved. We were sent to a smaller room since nothing comparable was available.

Building air being repaired when we checked in. Staff offered choice of remaining here and adjust parking and breakfast or moving to Hampton across street at same price. We stayed and had a lovely 3 day stay until someone walked into my family's reunion function area and stole a computer from our host family. I don't know if hotel could have helped to prevent something like that , but I hope they will try in future.

This is a very good location hotel in Silver Spring, the staff welcome me with some fresh warm cookies, very nice! Room is clean but no refrigerator and micro way , this really uncomfortable for me, and no convenience parking, valet only, but one night after 9 pm I come back they said no more parking, and I have to hunt for parking outside, this is terrible. But hotel is good .

There was no complimentary breakfast which was a huge downer considering you have to pay for food the whole time. The beds were comfortable. My boyfriend and I had a great time visiting DC.

The room was hot, it smelled of pot smoke, the beds were made well but not too comfortable, vending machines were oddly stationed, under stock and outdated. The highlights were the easy check in and quick checkout. But NOBODY should have to pay $120 for that. I booked a king room and was put in a twin. Just not what I expected

Everything extra costs. Wi Fi, parking etc. That should be stated in your price However everyone was very pleasant and Nice.

Nice room. Good price. Friendly staff. Quiet. Good hotel for business treavel.

It was a pretty decent hotel at a great price and location. I will definitely stay there again.

Walking distance to everything in downtown Silver Springs, so its very convenient. Room was very clean, bed comfortable. Lots of amenities in hotel, pool, workout room. Ice was very difficult to find. above floor 4 it was only on one floor and took me 20 minutes to find. The first night my room was freezing, like I could see my breathe in the air freezing. I called for someone to fix it and no one ever came. I waited 2 hours and called front desk every half hour. Finally i walked down to get blankets. I tried to resolve the inconvenience the next day and was treated poorly by front desk staff, I eventually was given a certificate to use in dinning room, but no one told me that it had many restrictions on it. The hotel itself was nice staff could use a lesson in manners.

I travel to this city (Silver Spring, MD) many times per year to visit family and friends, I've stayed at several hotels in the city and this one usually tops my list of places to stay (most weekends the price is better than other hotels in the area). The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.

Very good experience. The staff was very nice and particularly with children.

Overall good stay. Had room directly in front of elevators so you can hear the elevator ding each time it was called not to mention the foot traffic. Not enough reachable electrical outlets to use, most were in wall behind console which was not moveable. But location was great, around the corner from downtown silver spring with lots of restaurants and shopping places.
