Very friendly staff, clean room, good buffet breakfast. The only negative point is that the ‘free wifi’ only really worked for us in the reception area, it was almost non existent in our room and when able to connect was so slow it wasn’t worth having!
This is a charming historic hotel. Our room was small but cozy. Breakfast was very good. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is just up the hill from the bus stop- you can take an elevator. The back garden is just across the street from the building that the elevator is in.
What a charming and well-located hotel. The front desk staff were unbelievably warm and helpful. The room was lovely and well-furnished and the spa was a delight. Found it to be great value - would stay again in a heartbeat.
My wife and I came to Cogne as part of a Road Scholar trip. We loved the ambience of the town as well as the comfort and warm hospitality of staying at the Hotel du Grand Paradis. In the middle of our stay, my wife broke her ankle while hiking. During the three days until our departure, Filipo and his staff were wonderful!! They brought meals to our room, arranged for transportation, and most importantly offered us genuine care and concern. We are very grateful for the kindness offered us by everyone at the hotel and we feel fortunate that in Cogne we stayed at the Hotel du Grand Paradis.
We have been there in May and it was a perfect stay. The rooms are really typical equipped and perfect for a relaxed weekend. After a long day of hiking we used the SPA. With a lot of wood at the top of the hotel and super relaxed. I can highly recommend to stay in this hotel and use it as a starting point for hiking and relaxing :-)
This hotel is lovely, has great service, BUT is located next to a massive cellphone tower! We cannot believe that such a huge, toxic, ugly tower was allowed to be built right next to the church and hotel, with all the space available in the valley!!! Not only is it ugly, but more important, it is highly toxic! Radiation from electro magnetic waves is known to be dangerous, and people's health should not be sacrificed to new technologies. So, yes, we were dissapointed in our stay for this very reason, not because of the hotel which is lovely and has great service: thank you Anna for your professionalism and gentleness! The rooms are pleasant, with great baths, breakfast is good with great service, and the Spa is very pleasant even though small: Chiara gives excellent massages ( however, massage table would be better if it had a hole for the face, as cervicals would be better aligned). The village is very pleasant, and the whole area quite beautiful, with hikes galore!
Fantastic stop, great discovery. Loved the small but wonderful spa. We only stayed one night but it must be wonderful to do some hiking and come back there to relax. Worthwhile getting the separated room with a private entrance.
We stayed here as part of a group on a cross country skiing course. The spa is great at the end of the day. The rooms are rather small but that’s OK if you’re out and about enjoying the amazing area. Dinner was at another hotel each evening. This was good and they were happy to cross charge wine and other drinks. Breakfast wasn’t the best. The location is excellent and there is car parking nearby. I have no idea how much this place would have cost if booked separately but the price on the website for next week is reasonable / good value. I would stay here again.
We went on a Nordic skiing training course and were based at this hotel in Cogne. The room was clean and comfortable, with an excellent ensuite bathroom, (no bath, which doesn't bother us, but an excellent shower). There was an excellent evening meal at a restaurant, (I assume associated with the hotel), a short walk away, and an excellent buffet breakfast in the hotel. There's a small bar providing drinks and coffee. Guests have the use of a spa, (jacuzzi, steam room and sauna) on the top floor. The staff were exceptionably friendly. We were particularly touched that someone got up to provide a full breakfast for our group at 6am on the morning of our departure. Ww would definitely stay here again.
Brilliant stay. Clear, friendly correspondence organising the reservation (we specially requested room 403 based on pictures which was arranged happily). Bonuses included an underground tunnel from rooms 401-404 back to the main hotel, free spa access from 4-8pm (jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and tea), breathtaking view over dinner (in sister hotel - 1 min away) and the best breakfast we had in Paradiso. Ilaria (who dealt with our booking) was particularly welcoming and helpful. We stayed as a treat for completing 60k of hiking in 3 days. Couldn't have been better!
