Staff, breakfast and the room great with only one issue: the shower curtain does not stop water from dripping on the floor which presents a serious fall risk. Everything I tried to close the gap next to the wall did not work and I always ended up with a big puddle.

I was a bit concerned because Expedia booked me into a king room, but when I arrived at the hotel, they did not have any regular rooms available. That concerned me, and makes me worry about booking through a third-party next time. The manager was great, though, and upgraded me to their one bedroom suite at no extra charge. Thank goodness!

One side of the mattress, which was unfortunately my side smelled SUPER strongly of chemicals. I thought it was the whole room and didn’t want to wake my husband to switch rooms because he was so tired from driving. So in the morning I had to put my shorts and tank top in the laundry bag from the closet so I didn’t ruin my suitcase. 2 washings so far and I swear the shorts still have some of the chemical smell 😞 I called the property the next day because we left at 430 am when my husband got up I said “we’re outta here my head is killing me from this smell.” When I called I spoke with the person that said they were the manager and when I told him about room 434 he didn’t seem too concerned. He said he would send someone to check but I felt like from what I was saying that perhaps he would have seemed more concerned and checked to see what they could do to make it right. We normally stay here when passing through but after this we will not be again. I make myself sick when I stop to imagine just what in the world they were cleaning up on that mattress that required that amount of chemicals. Ahhhh I try not to think about what I laid in for hours. 😭
