No wonder we were the only people staying here. Nice check-in but we were charged twice which is yet to be resolved. Included breakfast was some old bread, some fruit, and no hot coffee. Room was awkward and most importantly had the worst excuse for a shower we've ever experienced....a dripping cold water was all. Go elsewhere.
The grounds were beautiful with colorful ceramics from Oaxaca, gardens, and a wooded area in back. A nice young family ran the place. It was restful here, as the rooms were behind the main building, away from the road.. Heavy curtains kept the room dark at night. The table and two chairs were useful. Two small water bottles were given daily. Facial wash cloths were provided, but there was no hair dryer. Breakfast was from 8-10 a.m. It was marginally okay, consisting of white bread, preserve pats, orange juice and coffee. We brought breakfast food to supplement theirs and ate it in our room. Now, the quirks: The shower had no grab bar. The bed spread and light weight blanket, even folded over, were not sufficiently warm. Thanks to some previous reviews, we came prepared. A T-shirt, long pajamas, vest sweater, and fleece jacket provided the extra warmth needed. Bathroom humidity was also a problem. The louvers were too high for us to deal with to let the humidity out. Finding the hotel was not a problem. We came from Tulum, and went ¾ of the way around a roundabout to the road that leads to Coba. Then, on the left, 100 yards or so down the road, was their “Hotel” sign. The main building is close to the road, with free parking in front. Unlike some previous trip advisor reviewer, we did not find it dangerous to drive into or exit the hacienda parking area.
If you travel by car this is wonderful option to spend a night.. or two. Great starting point to visit the ruins at Cobà. The two caretakers displayed their artist virtues by creating bed decorations (turtle/swan) out of towels, adding flower petals and leaves...!
This is a small B&B located just off the traffic circle road to the Coba ruins. It's a great location to get a head start on visiting the Coba ruins and there are several restaurants just two minutes down the road. Our room was simple with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. It was nice and quiet there, especially after dark. Overall, a very nice place to stay near Coba.
This is a very nice, small BnB, 6 rooms in total. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with koi pond and outdoor seating. The rooms are small, but comfortable and very clean. Alberto (and his wife and child) are very friendly and helpful. It is a bit out of downtown Coba but that makes it quiet; you do have to drive there for meals (other than breakfast which is included). They need to put up a sign on the road, it is easy to miss as it is setback a bit from the road. After a long day visiting the ruins and Cenotes this a very nice respite.
Great little hacienda. Lovely comfortable, clean room with 2 double beds so perfect for travelling with kids when you all need a room together. Great a/c and shower. The staff showed us to our room and were around at breakfast and we needed no more than this. Kids overwhelmed by being able to have fresh mango mashed on toast for breakfast! Great location for ruins and a short distance to the eating places in the centre of Coba.
Very clean and peaceful setting. We stayed for one night to visit the day after the ruins in Coba. The room is large, very clean, bed comfortable, private bathroom. The water from the shower was weak and not easy to reach a warm temperature. They have selfsercice continental breakfast in the morning. You'll fall a sleep listening to the insect sound at evening and wake up to the chirping of morning birds.
Hacienda Coba is definitely worth to stay more than one night. We stayed three nights and visited one full day the ruins of the archeological site. The rooms in Hacienda Coba are very clean and lovely furnished in Hacienda style. The breakfast comes with fresh fruits, plenty of coffee, juice and toast. A lovely young couple with a baby runs the place. We didn't have a rental car but they arranged daily for us to come to the village. The restaurant they recommanded "Tacos Mexicanos" in town has wonderful food. I ate the best salbutes on the peninsula and we come since five years. If you want to spend some relaxing days in calm atmosphere this is the place to be. Nothing special to do but lovely.
Nice clean place to stay. Not a lot choice in the region. A bit overpriced, but it was worth it so we could stay on the way between Valladolid and Tulum. Friendly staff at the reception and easy to find.
This hacienda is small and a little bit outside of the village of Coba. But for this reason it is a very calm place, where you can chill and rest. The rooms are clean and big. Unfortunately there is no warm water ! I liked to stay there. You need a car if you want to sleep there, too far from the ruins
