The resort is located in the middle of the forest in a rural area. There was no view of the lake at all. The toilet had to be plunged in order to get it to flush down. We are 75 and wanted a suite with no stairs but they could not accommodate us.
Loved our stay at Fairfield Bay Resort. Check in was smooth and easy, our condo was perfect size for my husband and myself, bed was so comfortable. Enjoyed that they were able to put my family (2 sisters, one brother and their spouses) all side by side. We all had a wonderful stay, only negative thing I have to say is we didn’t have longer to stay. I hope to visit Fairfield Bay Resort again.
I liked the quietness and views as well as the layout of the condo. Didn't need anything that the place didn't have. Could use closer dumpsters for trash.
We loved the resort. There are so many things to do. However, this resort is very large, and most things have to be driven to. I would've liked to have a welcome packet that included all the things that are available at the resort, and where they're located
The property is a bit dated, but it was very clean and everything was in order and as it should have been. The only complaint we had about the property is that the mattresses were like granite. Just not comfortable at all. Wasn't a big issue for any of us except for my wife, who has some back issues. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient.
We had lots of room for three kids, including a baby! They had the crib ready in our room when we arrived. Very comfortable beds with large bathrooms.
It is just surprising that this is a Wyndham property to me. It has potential in the beautiful location, but is just old, musty and in bad condition. Spacious and reasonable if you have a large family and like to eat in on vacation, but very outdated and not so clean either. We could have used a fly swatter too. I would think Wyndham might want to rethink putting their name on this one!
We had a great time and the resort was wonderful but there were not enough cooking pans and utensils, the refrigerator would not stay cool till two days even after they sent someone to fix it. It was very quiet but not much to do for miles. We were there to visit our son and our grandson so the visit was about them. If we had to do it all over again we would stay at this place again but just plan things better. Not much to do there but eat and go swim. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times and for the most part the stay was worth the price for sure.
Beautiful setting. The view from the pool was fantastic! The staff was wonderful. Will definitely return!
