The room that we stayed in was okay, not the cleaniest room and the bathroom definitely needs some help. The plaster was falling off around the shower curtain rod and under the sink, the pipes were falling off and they had towels shoved in to cover up the holes.

Arrived early thought we would ask for a text or call from front desk when available but was ignored while she visited with another employee. Lobby area staff just very unapproachable. The lady running the breakfast area was the best part of the stay

Only has valet service. The property is in bad need of sone TLC. Smells when you first walk in. Rooms are too big with wasted space. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Too expensive for this properties condition.

Not well maintained, roof paint about to fall, during booking through Expedia parking was included, on property sight they charged 40$ for one night, old fashioned rooms, tried to get ice but found 1 machine after checking 4 floors, simply not recommended to anybody….worst experience ever had before.
It was much worse than it is looking in the photo.

Great proximity to downtown Cleveland area

The hotel was clean. I'm aware it is being updated soon to a Mariott property. It's apparent the property needs a refresh and for what I paid and proximity to the downtown area it was fine. I was in town on Sunday of Labor Day weekend and it suited my needs for the day I was there. The parking valet was backed up and we did need to find parking slightly away from the property and it wasn't a huge deal. The free breakfast had a lot of options and was better than a lot of other hotel breakfasts I've had. All in all this place was a good choice for my weekend trip

Quirky old Bank building with gigantic sized rooms, like basketball courts. Super funky but clean and people are nice. Area has great options for food, etc. But is definitely a busy downtown and not really a sightseeing location. Parking is by valet only unless you want to find it for yourself in the area.

It’s a HDI Express so set your expectations accordingly. The old building is beautiful but the rooms need updates, especially furniture and bathrooms. We had a dripping tub and temperamental toilet. It is convenient to ball stadiums and RRHOF. We valet parked our car and it took 40 minutes to get it when we checked out which is totally unacceptable especially for what you have to pay per night to park.

hotel room a bit dated but clean. could use some TLC as the condition of the room overall is subpar. the room itself was very spacious and comfortable. the in-room hot tub bath was a nice touch. one major flaw is their elevators. they have a bank of 4-5 elevators, however only one was in working order. for such a large, busy downtown location it was surprising. Upon checkout, it took us nearly 15 minutes just to finally get down to the lobby with our bags as the one elevator was constantly full each time. as far as staff goes, the valet staff was very friendly and accommodating. had no issues checking in as well at the front desk, very easy. However, upon checking out the front desk employee was honestly pretty rude. I asked for a final receipt as I do checking out at any property with all the charges on it and she advised me this was not possible because I "purchased through hotels . com". I explained that other properties have had no issues printing out a final receipt despite booking through hotels but she insisted she could not print out a receipt with all the charges on it. This must be a Holiday Inn Express or specific location issue as I've been able to get printed receipts at time of checkout for hotels. com reservations. If that's the case, that's fine but I was confused by the employees rude reaction to my request.

AMAZING! This historic building houses this very nice hotel. The staff let me check in early after a long and tiring morning. The hotel is right in the middle of the city, close to Progressive Field. I would absolutely stay here again.
