Some houses could be old and awesome. This one unfortunately is just old and dirty. With relatively minor investment, this place could have been made much much nicer. Simply power washing the porches and the exterior, watching the very dirty and dusty windows, cleaning the old black caulking in the bathrooms. This place works as an investment to make money and it feels that way there's very little personal touch. There's some furniture that was probably left over from the previous owners. The furniture is cool and old. However some things simply do not work. The old wardrobe in the upstairs bedroom cannot close. The mattresses are super soft and you feel like you're drowning in them. The cutlery tray is another story. It was so duty and disgusting that we had to take everything out and wash everything on our own. The smell of mold persisted throughout our stay even though we constantly open the windows to air the place out. There must have been some backyard flooding before we came, because the entire Porsche was covered in layer of dirt. We had to scrub it ourselves to get it in at least semi-normal condition. The porch table was also covered in dirt and we have to wash all of that on our own. The house is old and pretty but it does look like it's falling apart, the wallpaper is peeling off, the floors were painted around the rugs, now some rugs have moved and you can see on painted parts of the floors. They're much better rental places on Chincoteague.
