We had a reservation for 2 nights that was booked 3 months in advance. Prior to arrival, we received a phone call offering us a "complementary upgrade" to a junior suite, which we happily accepted (thinking we were very lucky). Upon check-in, we were informed that there had been some sort of mix up and they would work very hard to be able to keep us in the offered room - if not, they would "figure something out". With some further questioning, we learned that this meant there was no room available for us on the second night but the front desk clerk assured us they would work something out. We expressed our disappointment that this had not been disclosed when discussing the "upgrade" as we would not have accepted it if we had known it potentially meant moving to another room (we had plans for the entire next day and would not be available during the day to move). There was no apology for any mix up or inconvenience. Upon arrival to our "junior suite", we found a very dated, run down room. There was a large stain in the carpet and the furniture and cabinets were covered in marks and stains. It was disappointing to think this was an "upgrade" to say the least. There were 2 TVs in the room and 1 remote. There were 2 bath towels, 2 bath mats and one face cloth for 3 people (no hand towels). There were no pillows or extra blankets for the pull out couch. Also, we had to move a chair to be able to extend the pull out the full but the space available was so small, the only place to put the chair (extremely heavy by the way) was in front of the door to room (very likely a fire code violation). When we asked for more towels and pillows, the front desk clerk indicated there were only pool towels available as there were "lots of teenage girls staying at the hotel so they had taken all the towels". The pull out mattress was terribly thin and extremely uncomfortable. Our daughter woke up with back pain from sleeping on this (she's only 16 - an unusual complaint for her). We slept with road noise and the noise from the walkway outside and above our room (the walkway was covered in only plywood and therefore very noisy with any footsteps). Everyone's sleep was terrible as a result of the uncomfortable mattress and noisy environment. Additionally, the pool was out of order for the duration of our stay. The next morning, we checked in with the front desk about the state of our 2nd night's stay - we were told by a different clerk that we were only booked for one night and the hotel was full (i.e. there was no room for us, nor would there be). I showed him our original email confirmation clearly indicating we had a reservation for 2 nights. He simply shrugged his shoulders - again no apology for any inconvenience nor was there any attempt to help remedy our situation. We had booked this stay for the Volleyball BC Provincials tournament so there were no rooms left elsewhere in Abbotsford - forcing us to take a room 35km away in Chilliwack. To say the least, we were extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service - we are out a great deal of time and money due to this mistake and there was not even a hint of an apology, nor any attempt to rectify the situation at all. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone, for any reason. There was another family that were in the same situation as us and were forced to find a different hotel for the 2nd night of their stay as well. The others in our group received poor customer service and were disappointed in their rooms as well.

The motel is clean, and staff friendly but when we told desk staff tv did not work, nothing was done about it. That did put a damper on the experience at the hotel. Overall if not for that I would have rated this Motel much higher

when i told the front desk the issue after she spoke to head housekeeper was told this was a known issue for that room...also the transition piece from bathroom to bed area was loose and i slipped on tub not hot and pool closed

We stayed at the Bakerview Inn for business and were sorely disappointed. The rooms were old and run down, with embedded objects in the carpet (I found earings, bobby pins...) And the exterior stairs to get to my room on the second floor were uneven. The general location is nice (with mountain views) and convenient (including a Wal Mart around the corner), although the parking lot seemed to attract some seedy activity after sunset. This property was certainly not up to Best Western standards!

Once we arrived the check-in procedure was handle quickly and we were on our way to the room. This motel may be a little older but the up-keep is great. he room was clean and tidy. There was a restaurant in the same parking lot that we had a great meal at.

Arrived at 5:30 for check in and room wasn’t ready for 30 min! Kept hearing reasons for being behind in housekeeping instead of a sincere apology and a response to our disappointment. They offered us a coffee while we waited which is ridiculous. 2hr late for check in and a coffee is your offer? Asking what would we would like in order to make up for it or an offer of a discount or late check out would be considered great service. Room was clean but very outdated and had stains on floors and chairs. Room keys didn’t work when we came in for the night and we had to walk all the way back to lobby to resolve and there was again no service to remedy our frustration. Instead they accused me of not knowing my room number when they mixed up the name for the room. Finally key was activated and when I pointed out they mixed up the name there was no apology. We saw a lot of guests struggling with the keys at the door and during check in someone was getting key reactivated. Clearly this is an ongoing issue. My advice is to stay somewhere else!!!

Someone else's hair in the tub, everything else was dirty, trash bags at the ice machine. A $200 deposit for debit card I am still waiting for my refund! Never again will I stay there! Probably the most disappointing place I have stayed at in years.

Served as a good base for an extended business trip. I would recommend this hotel for persons looking for a budget conscious trip. Location is ideal for anyone requiring easy access to the TransCanada Highway.

Having never done so before, we stayed for a night at the BW Bakerview Inn on our way back from the US since we’re BW Rewards members. We found the property to be dated - parking lot pavement crumbling in places, small block retaining walls fallen down, etc. Our room was clean and it’s furnishings, while providing what might typically be expected by guests, were mismatched and in need of updating. Corners of the wallpaper finish was peeling off the walls in places. There was a newer mini fridge, microwave and flat screen tv provided, wifi was adequate. The fan in the bathroom sounded close to a jet engine, way too loud to use for any length of time! There is a small indoor pool and hot tub near the office, never saw anyone use it, might be just fine. The lobby is nondescript and small. The staff we encountered were ok, but no more than that in terms of pleasantness and efficiency. Unlike many BW franchises, there is no breakfast provided with your room, which we have come to expect. There is a private restaurant onsite that shares the same parking lot with the motel, however. We won’t stay again at this property as there’s other accommodation in Abbotsford that offer comparable rates and, on the outside at least, would seem to be a better option for us.

Some people as noted here on Trip Advisor had bad experiences.I had no issues while I stayed here and the Lady on the front desk in the afternoon was awesome. This is a Two Star Motor Inn/Motel and is a Best Western but not one of the Higher End Best Westerns.
