Quality Inn Chico

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Stayed here for a wedding and it was great. Walking distance to all of downtown Chico and conveniently located for any other destination-- e.g. 5 minutes from Sierra Nevada Brewery. Staff was great, room better than expected-- especially after seeing so many sketchy reviews for OTHER hotels in the area. Very happy with the stay and would definitely go back.

All is fine except the towels are old and not terribly clean

Great staff, breakfast is what your would expect. Only thing that was really a negative is the bathroom door in the eating space is 3 feet from your table. Not well thought out.

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Close to all the shops and downtown restaurants.

The hotel was perfect for spending the weekend in Chico as close to downtown.

I was in town attending the Student/Parent orientation at Chico State. The room was close to campus and had an awesome ice cream shop across the street. The room was a little smaller than I anticipated but it served the purpose of my stay.

I came for a Chico state orientation for my son. We drove a long way and came in late so I called, and the staff was very sweet saying they had someone there all night. We were checked in quickly and went to bed. It was really nice to have a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. They also had a wonderful complimentary breakfast in the morning I loved the location of the hotel as everything was within walking distance. I also appreciated it that the hotel had a "no party" policy (especially being in a college town). I was woke up between 2-3 and the staff was right on it because it was quiet within 5 minutes. The maid gave us extra towels and all of the staff were very patient and kind. I plan on going back when my son attends college there.

The property was a great value and met or exceeded our expectations. The staff was very pleasant and addressed any needs that we required. The location was perfect for our.visit to the University and within walking distance to the downtown core. The only drawback was our choice of 2 queen beds instead of a King. The room was a little tight with the 2 Queens. I would hesitate to stay there again.

Quiet hotel and very friendly staff. Had a great time staying at this Hotel. Most places at walking distance. Bed was really comfy and room was very clean.

The hotel is not great, but it's cheap and in a great location (close to bars and resturants).

It's ok. It's a Quality Inn so you pretty much know what to expect. Parking is tight . AC is noisy. Breakfast area is small but selection was fine. Decent value.

With the age of this place, I knew from the start that it could be a reservation I would regret. But it was really quite nice for a motel of this vintage. The staff was great and the breakfast better than average. I will stay here again, it's a great place for the price and location.

I had a very pleasant stay here. Decent room in a decent area, walkable to everything. No pool or fitness room, but didn't expect that in a 2-star. The staff was excellent, helpful, and very pleasant. The breakfast room was open beyond breakfast, and cold OJ is nice when it's 103F! The business center had free computer use and printing. The only glitch was the wifi down for part of one day. Other than that, a solid experience.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and very helpful, and the location was perfect for us. The only negative comment is that the pool was a little dirty.

What can I say...it way ok. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel so I won't be too harsh. Parking is limited so you may have to drive around for a bit until a spot opens up. The AC is a wall unit that goes on and off throughout the night and it's loud when it comes on. Free breakfast is not bad, however, the breakfast area is very small. Would I stay there again? Yes. However, I might look around to see what else is available first.

I've been to a couple other places, and this is by far the best. Very nice rooms, everything new and clean. Free wireless internet and free breakfast buffet. Room was quiet, staff was nice, great TV. Not a two star motel! This is comparable to a Hilton Inn.

Dont plan on sleeping well if your neighbors want to shower or open and close their exterior door late at night. Staff was friendly. Location was good. Just not great rooms.

This was my 2nd stay at the Quality Inn near Chico State. Very happy with the hotel. I will be staying there for my next visit.

Hotel seems to be remodeled so had a modern feel to it. Walking distance to downtown Chico which is why we picked it in the first place. The cleanliness and comfort of the room made it worth the price.

I would rate this hotel MUCH higher than 2 stars. It looks completely remodeled and super clean. The room was perfect. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room includes breakfast which was good. The hotel is walking distance to tons of restaurants. We were here for orientation for Chico State. It's about a 10 minute walk to the university. A perfect location! No car needed in this town. When I come back to visit my son at school, this is where I will be staying!!
