Never had any issues other than not having clean towels on the second day of my stay. Other than that would book again.

I found this hotel offering a good room rate and opted to try it. I had an unfortunate experience at a local Motel 6, and found that this place was quite the opposite. It had been renovated, the rooms were clean. Nice hardwood floors, comfortable bed. Radiant heating and cooling, a fridge and microwave. Only particular ding against this one was an attempt to charge an in-room-safe fee. It was optional but annoying. And to boot, the particular room did not have an in-room safe.

The above comment says it all. The staff was great, but other hotel users made it difficult most nights to get any sleep. Many chose to walk around outside and create noise which didn't allow me to sleep much. Outside entrances in to rooms allow people to make the noise. After my stay here, I spent two nights in my brother's hotel with interior entrances and the difference was like night and day. I could finally sleep.

Besides my license plate being stolen, a loud drilling noise in the morning, a heavily deodorized room which caused an asthmatic attack, and an unfriendly staff, this stay wasn't too bad… Yeah right!

A good thing about this place is that it's close to a lot of shops and restaurants. It's about 30-40 mins away from Chicago, it was about $35 for an Uber. The theres the bad about it.. The room was not clean when we got there, there was a sticky area near the bed looked like something spilled and it wasn't cleaned, the toilet was dirty on the outside, (it had stains on the side and the top) the pillow cases were stained, they looked washed but stained, almost all of them (4, both beds). When they came to clean they took the trash out of the can but left it on top of the sink, there was a washcloth on top of the shower curtain, seems like someone used it and hung it up. Pretty gross. So not too many good things I can say about the cleanliness. So it's a cheap room, far from the city, the lady at the front was nice, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

To start off our stay, we got our room and we couldn't change the temp on the air conditioner which was warmer than comfortable because the buttons were broken. The room didn't smell that great either. Very humid and musty. I told the front desk and nothing was done to fix the AC or get us a different room. Then, we discovered the batteries were dead in the TV remote. I understand this is kind of petty, but this isn't something I should have to walk to the front desk about. We stayed 3 nights and the maid never even cleaned our room the second day so we had no clean towels. I looked at my bank account and they charged me for my room twice then played it off like it was supposed to happen for a "deposit". I don't think that was the case at all. The beds were tiny and not that comfortable. The only good thing: the front desk staff were polite. All in all, I will not be returning and I recommend you find a different hotel to stay at.

Worst hotel that I have ever stayed in DownersGrov

Was very nice and like the staffing very friendly and helpful. Coffee was always ready before 4:00am very fresh.

It was a quiet location in the heart of great shopping and business in downers Grove.

This is a great little spot to stay while visiting family and friends in the western Chicago burbs, and I stay here fairly regularly. The weekend clientele can get a little loud and rough, but no problems on this trip. It's not fancy, but it's plenty comfortable in a great location with easy parking, proximity to all kinds of shopping and restaurants, and really great cable TV options too. My one complaint is the bum's rush housekeeping gives you on the day of checkout. I have my Privacy Please sign on the door, I have two hours until checkout, and literally on the half-hour housekeeping is still pounding on the door bellowing, Housekeeping! Housekeeping! I understand that you want to clean out the room, but please give me the last two hours I paid for! But this is a minor irritation, and I will definitely stay here again.

At check-in, I experienced a very smooth time. Because I already had my reservation paid for, I was in and out quickly. On check-out, the staff person was incredibly pleasant.

It was amazingly quiet to be next to the highway. The staff was very nice.

Hotel is in a safe upscale environment. The room was redone and was clean. On the inside. The outside of the hotel made me a little nervous when we pulled up but if you can get past this being NOT a 4 star resort and a safe place to sleep cheaply it will suffice your needs. Not much a amenities, but again nice safe neighbourhood by upscale shops etc. great value for budget travel.

This hotel was not clean. The floors must of been mopped with dirty water. There was a bug we killed and when they came in to so call clean they didn't even pickup the bug. YUK! There were dirty towels hanging up for us to use and not enough for 3 people only 2 even though we booked for 3. We are not pleased with this motel at all!

Great staff great location delicious coffee in the lobby. Quiet safe neighborhood. I would recommend to all. Beds are comfy! Jason was great good customer service.

Ok stay, can't complain about staff and cleanliness. There is no refrigerator in the room, and the ice machine is not the greatest.

it is a nice hotel, which has a good location. I would defintly stay here for my next trip. A little noise maybe, but still very good. Clean room, nice service. The internet speed is fast, too. I may be recommend this hotel to my friend.

I try to get to Chicago once a month and this is a great little place in the burbs for a really inexpensive stay with free parking and easy access to the highway. It's not for everyone--being right next to the highway means you hear it, especially considering the ill-fitting room door with its half-inch of daylight, and the dead bug on the floor by the door is not inviting either. On previous stays my partying neighbors were a handful as well. But the free WiFi here is much better than many swankier hotels that require passwords, as is the cable TV channel selection. Since for the most part I am just sleeping here and maximizing my time socializing elsewhere, it was all that I needed at an amazing price, and I will definitely stay again.

The room was very nice and clean for the money and the front desk staff was very helpful in getting me directions to where I needed to be the next day.

Red Roof has improved nearly all of their locations lately, and they are actually pretty decent for a couple of days and if you are on a budget. This one is in a good location if you are going to/from O'Hare. It was quiet and convenient and close to lots of stores and restaurants -- good area.
