I stayed for 1 night this past week. Staff were very helpful, friendly, and upbeat. Corporate rate was very good. Room was very nice, wifi was acceptable, fitness room well kept and functional, and Bar Louie very convenient. I would recommend this hotel - very close to O'Hare.

Good place to park and sleep before/after airport trip. Nice, clean, quiet, responsive personnel, easy parking. Eateries nearby, bar/restaurant inside building. Free wifi, free shuttle to/from airport.

We were placed at this hotel the night our plane diversion by the airline. It is a below average Holiday Inn, but the staff and bar louie make up for the rest. The rooms are ok, clean and the bathroom is average.

When we checked in we were weary from a day of travelling and just hoping for a quiet, restful night's sleep. Although the hotel provided us with the connecting rooms we had requested (but did not know if they could provide the rollaway we had requested), as we approached the rooms we discovered to our dismay that they were immediately adjacent to a room with door ajar, loud hip hop music blasting, and numerous teens/young adults wandering in and out of the room. No way that was going to work. We returned to the front desk and, to his credit, the desk manager found us two adjacent (but not connecting) rooms in a quieter wing of the hotel, though I was surprised that the hotel apparently was willing to let the "party room" continue functioning as a social venue. The rollaway arrived, though it was quite uncomfortable, and overall the hotel seemed dated and worn. Not the best start to a vacation.

We stayed here for a baseball weekend while in the area. I was impressed at how well the hotel handled a sold out weekend with so many people. We needed an extra set of bedding and they brought it with in 20 minutes. I've stayed at many where they never did bring extras. Bar Louie is attached and is a nice place for a meal and drinks.

Centrally located on main thoroughfares, this Holiday features a great restaurant and bar, plenty of amenities, and clean rooms. It's starting to show a little wear, but the rates are very competitive for what you get. Recommended. Cheers.

Staff very attentive, clean and quiet. We really enjoyed it stay here. Most of what we did was in the city so it's a good 30 to 40 minutes drive and some tolls but worth it for the area of Mt. Prospect Which felt like any nice suburban Town.

This was paid stay. Reason I chose the location as it was close to were I was working, plus the Hotel Chain was offering a points promotion. Typical Holiday Inn experience, Bar Louie connected to the hotel if drinking at bars is your thing. Standard room with a view of the back side of Home Depot; the hotel offers no attractive views. Room was quiet, bed was a bit stiff, but I liked that it was high considering I am over 6' tall. Plenty of good fast casual restaurants nearby; I recommend Chic-Fil-A, Panera Bread, Chipotle and the Outback Steakhouse. Hotel was sold out when i stayed, so parking lot was almost full. A nice person driving a straight truck was kind enough to park perpendicular to the parking lines and took up 6 parking spots.Internet had decent speeds. Bring disinfectant wipes and cleanse all handles, controllers or other surfaces that you plan on touching with bare hands or skin.

We checked in July 8, 2017, i have read some reviews that says this hotel was recently have gone through some renovations, the building itself is very old, lobby design was not good, hallways and carpeting was old. Smells musty. The room was ok, we were on room 321. After attending a party, we got back from our room at 11:00 pm. When were just about ready for bed, just starting to doze off at 11:30 pm, we heard a very loud noise from a group of people from the hallway, talking, yelling, laughing, screaming and slamming doors. I called the front desk, staff said that she will go up and check up the commotions, 10 mins. After my first call, the commotions started again, I called the 2nd time. Again, I called the front desk people, nothing happened, the people across from our room were partying all night long in their room, very inconsiderate nasty people.! I called the front desk about 4-5 x,the whole night, but they couldn't do anything about it, we then asked to be moved to a different room, so at 3:00-3:30 in the morning had to pack our stuff and move..terrible! After eating breakfast my hubby just about had it and talk to the mngr. we found out that the group of Indian people ( from India) were related to the owner, and they were partying for a wedding for a week! That is why they couldn't kick them out that night, that's even made my husband angrier, isn't there a policy from Holiday Inn/IHG company for this type of incident? What a shame on the owner whos ruining the brand of the hotel. We are an IHG loyal costumer, we are a paying costumer paid to have a restful sleep at night! We thought we're in a public market the whole night, hearing loud noise, screaming, yelling and all kinds of commotions! I hope that this review will get an attention of the highest level on the corporate office of Holiday Inn Company and investigate the situation and not let a bad one owner of your Holiday inn Mount Prospect, IL. ruin the brand of IHG or your Hotels.

I am going to be blunt. Do not waste your time staying here. Way too many issues during our five night stay. We arrived on Saturday June 10th. When we checked in I asked if the shuttle could take us to ORD so that we could catch the train from there to go downtown. She told me they shuttle driver could take us to the Metra station only. We signed up for the next shuttle and that is where is problem began. I asked our shuttle driver when he dropped us off what time we needed to be back so that we could be picked up at the station. He said just call the hotel and someone would pick us up. So, I asked again about the time and he never told me the shuttle stops picking up guests at midnight despite my repeated attempts at getting a straight answer from him. So we go downtown and return back to the Metra station. I called the hotel at 0020 and I was told the shuttle stops running at 11 and no one could pick us up. I was livid. I explain to the man on the phone that the driver never gave me a straight answer regarding pick up times. He just kept saying " call the hotel. someone will pick you up," The evening desk clerk made absolutely no effort to help us and told me on the phone that it was my problem, not the hotel's. He made no effort to at least call a cab or uber. It just wasn't his problem. By this time I finished talking to him on the phone, my phone died and no longer had a way to get help. I understand that my phone dying was no ones fault but we were going by what the driver told is which was call the hotel and someone will come get you. By this time, it was almost 0100 and we were essentially stranded. We were very luck that the station was about a block away from a bar. The manager of the bar went way above and beyond to help us. He called for a taxi but it never arrived. He finally called uber for us and he even paid for it.By the time we got back to our hotel in was 0230. This entire situation could have been avoided if the driver had given us a straight answer from the onset regarding the shuttle times. It was misinformation from the start. Another business should not have to take care of your guests. I found out about the midnight cut off the next day when the supervisor told me. The next morning, I spoke a supervisor and he did apologize and he stated he would relay the info to his manager. He also said he would speak to the driver. He compensated by giving us a breakfast voucher for one day only and a 25 credit in the restaurant. But I felt it should have been more. I was traveling alone with a child and I don't want to think what could have happened if the bar owner had not helped us. We were lucky that Mt Prospect is a very safe community and there were others out in the streets at the same time we were. Just based on this incident alone, I would never stay here again. Poor training on management's part and this needs to be addressed immediately so that it does not happen again to another guest. Pros; restaurant food was very good for a hotel and the staff was very efficient. The morning waitress (an older woman) was very attentive and brought my son extra fruit and bacon at no charge. The beds are very comfortable and we slept well There is fridge and microwave in each room. The shower worked well. Cons; the wifi in our room was extremely poor and would not connect. And if it did, it would drop the connection. Room was on the small side as was the bathroom Comforter one on the bed stain that were very obvious. Trash was not emptied every day and we never received a full set of replacement towels every day. There is very little counter space in the bathroom. Toilet would not flush sometimes. We did not receive service at all one day and when I asked why, I was told our Do not Disturb sign was out and it wasn't because we do not use it. One morning when we were leaving, housekeeping had the carts in the hallway and we could not even go around it. I politely said excuse me and in spanish she responded that she was trying to work. I guess she thought I did not understand Spanish which I do so I told her I did not appreciate her attitude when we were trying to be polite. Staff does not seem to like their jobs. When you pass an employee, no one greets you or even says hello. The Metra was not the best choice. It takes almost an hour to get to the Loop area and only arrives at Ogilvie station. From there you have to take a bus or find a train station to get around because it simply to far to walk from attraction to attraction. We did have car but did not want to drive in Chicago traffic or pay the outrageous parking fees. The second day, we drove our car to the Rosemont CTA staton, paid the daily parking fee and took the train into town. The station was about 15 min from the hotel and there is plenty of parking at the Rosemont staton. Do yourself a favor and get around on your own. In all my years of traveling and I used to be flight attendant, I have never had a hotel leave me stranded or refused to provide alternate transportation. Nothing exciting about the hotel or immediate area. There are restaurants within a 5-10 min drive and there is Walmart about 5 min away. Next time, I will gladly pay more to have a hotel in the Loop area. I will not stay here again.
