Chicago South Loop Hotel

With a price much lower than downtown hotels, we expected lower quality and hoped for the best. We were pleasantly surprised. The location is just south of downtown just off the freeway, with easy access to get back on. Easy circular drive to check in and free parking. The lobby was spacious and attractive. The staff could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. The room was large and clean, with refrigerator and free wifi. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

staff was very accomadating when i called to check-in early since our flight was arriving early in the morning. Staff was also very helpful when they arranged to hold out bags after check-out so we could do some last minute sightseeing since our flight would not take off til later in the evening. i did not like that the housekeeper did not clean our room while we were gone but on checkout day, we must have had 3 different housekeepers come to the room before checkout time to ask what time we would be leaving (they do know what time is check out right??!!). I thought this was very rude and i guess they were very anxious to get us out of the room so they could clean it but i wish they had this gumption the day before when we were out sightseeing.

I had stayed here many times in the past. It is close to Chinatown for meals:) Room was always quiet and clean. Staff always friendly! However, this time around, everything went wrong. In the middle of the night, a group of people was yelling and loud talking in the hall way for about 5 minutes. Then later the same night (early in the morning), a car alarm went off for about 20 minutes!!! No staff took action. Finally, the car's battery died down and the alarm was not sounding as loud as the beginning. Any way, it is time to find another "home hotel" for my future stays.

Wery nice hotel with parking. 12 min walk to McCormick Place West Bldg

This hotel was really nice in what I was worried would be a not-so-nice area. Turns out it was the perfect location for our needs and accessing McCormick place. Really nice hotel and comfortable room. We were pleasantly surprised and will be returning again in the future!

Great price. Front desk was AAAA+++++. Very polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice. And on top of that free parking.

It's an OK hotel. It's not the Hyatt or the Hilton, it's way better than the Red Roof Inn. Rooms are nice, very clean, spacious. You don't feel you are in a presidential suite, but it's a big step up from the lice infested Motel 6. It has a bar/restaurant and a nice gym for the guests. Staff is good and provide great service. If your on a budget but don't want to contract scabies from the Super 8, this is a good option.

Place was alright. Neighborhood was a little rough. Rooms were descent but dated. Price a little more than the hotel was worth.

Super convenient (midway between the convention center and Ricobenes), reasonably priced, a friendly staff, large and comfortable rooms and a real Chicago Style Sports Bar - what's not to like.

I was pleasantly surprised- the room rate was so much lower than others it made me skeptical. But the room was beautiful, very nice modern decor, it smelled fresh & clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was in a great neighborhood too, within walking distance to everything. And free, gated parking lot. We will absolutely stay here again every time we visit Chicago!

Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Close to downtown Chicago

It was decent and being close to downtown helps with travel.

Nice hotel in a bit of a questionable neighborhood. Easy access to IIT and the metro.

If you don't need to spend a lot of time in the hotel and just want a clean, nice room at a good location & price, this is for you. Very impressed with the staff from check-in through housekeeping. Very friendly, happy-to-be-there employees. I arrived several hours before regular check in time and they got me in my room early. Housekeeping did an outstanding job with their service. This is a great hotel close to the McCormick center where our conference was, with a reasonable price and no charge for parking your car. I used Uber a few times to get back and forth to the convention and found that cabs were actually a little better on the price (about 35% less than uber) since Uber charges a $5 airport fee on each ride and the cabs do not. Highly Recommend!

The hotel was nice and the room was clean and completely worth the money. We did find it weird we couldn't check in 15 minutes early but we hung out in the lobby and bar then checked in. Our first visit to the South Loop Bar during the day (June 28) was great. We left for a white sox game that night and returned to get a couple drinks before bed. The bartender clearly didn't like us as she gave less than subpar attention to us. This was the one and only place in Chicago I used my debit card. A couple days later, my card was declined so I looked up why and it seems someone used our credit card for about $300 at speedway and fireworks --- in Chicago. The bartender will rip you off, if you go, pay cash because the hotel was definitely worth the price and the bed was very nice.

My friend and I stayed for a night and we enjoyed it. Lots of room to move around and spacious bathroom as well. The ladies at the desk were very friendly and helpful. The area isn't anything beautiful but the hotel was nice and the bus stop is around the corner to take you to the downtown area. Free parking and wifi was also great!

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were about average.enjoyed the cool jazz vibe of the place. Was convenient to the school we were touring, walkable to many places, awesome to have gated, free parking!

big room, great staff, great location. Do wish there was a microwave and couch in room though. Microwave is downstairs.

I thought the staff was accomodating. Therefore, I would probably stay if it was an absolute necessity for school, business or personal reasons.

Greetings, Thank you for your review. It is disappointing to hear that your recent experience with us was less than stellar. I can only imagine how frustrating the aforementioned noise pollution must have been. If a guest reports noise pollution to our front office staff, security follows specified procedures. Our apologies for this not happening in this case. This is not our norm and we hope you will give us another chance to show you how we can shine in your eyes again. Thank you for your feedback.
