A nice place to stop over for a short stay, while getting the functional needs fulfilled.

I appreciated the spacious (older but well maintained) rooms. clean. good beds. fridge and coffee maker, desk etc. functional business office with free printer. neighborhood seems fine during daylight hours. night is a greater concern. local italian restaruant 0.4 miles away. not much else around there. stayed there attending a meeting in the area and was a good choice for me.

Much nicer and less expensive than some airbnbs we have used in the area. Positives: Convenient to local family, Lobby, hallways and room were all clean and fresh. Beds were clean and comfortable. Negatives: Room lock didn't work requiring new batteries, which was fixed promptly. Tried to use Business Center for airline check-in and print boarding passes but the printer had no extra paper and didn't work; asked Sunday morning receptionist to resolve and she responded rudely that she was the only person on duty, didn't come to resolve the issue. Pole light in room was broken. Requires a deposit upon check-in.

always on point, great staff, clean, great location

It was fast to check in. Free parking and close to downtown, good location. Nice ladies in the cafe, breakfast and coffee. Room had fridge. Bed not the best quality. Room clean, hotel interesting style. Would stay again.

I was there for a conference at McCormick place for several days. I love the proximity. It is a totally painless 15-minute walk to McCormick place. Also, the hotel has free parking. Since I drove to Chicago but then didn't need the car for going anywhere, this was a perfect scenario. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone, but especially those going to events in the McCormick Place area who are not afraid of a bit of walking.

The hotel is easy to locate and I like that it has free on site parking. It's also very close to Soldier field and offered a paid shuttle service for Bears game. The Sports bar was closed for renovations which is a drawback since there aren't any other sports bar options nearby. We stayed 3 nights and housekeepers didn't clean the room.

It was a very nice hotel and the deal we got was awesome. Very lovely place

Smells bad and there were lots of bugs. I would not stay here again.

Big, clean rooms. Good price. Decent location just outside of downtown. Nothing in walking distance for visitors. No amenities and hardly any necessities like shower gel. FREE PARKING though.

Hotel offers great amenities (namely free parking).

Good things: location to downtown, easy access to bus, free wifi, great staff, clean room, free parking*. not so good things: room was facing street side where the train made loud noise. try to get on the inside for peaceful sleep, loud clatter from air conditioner at low or high speed, absolute worse pillows ruining night sleep, one elevator out of service causing delays. free parking only if space available. expect to park on street if you arrive late as we did, bad tasting coffee, no microwave in room, only one available in business center. for the price paid a strictly below average hotel.

We had a great stay at south loop, everything We wanted to do was close to the hotel, the area was quiet, will stay again

This hotel is located a short 15 minute bus ride to center of State Street and then two blocks to Michigan Ave. The Chicago South Loop hotel has everything you need for a pleasant stay and FREE Parking!!! Would stay again to enjoy both the location and the friendly staff. We were able to stay five nights in the city without breaking the bank.

would not stay here again. Price good, free parking nice but room had 2 empty beer bottles left over from previous guests and the bathroom shampoo and body lotion dispensers were empty. Noticed when taking shower. Doesn't feel like a well kept hotel

Enjoyed my stay very much and found all the staff very nice and helpful. Woudn't mind coming back again.

Had a great experience, the area is south of down town, neighborhood is quiet. We took in the sites had lunch at Carsons, dinner at Ginos pizza and spent time with family..

The Chicago Loop Hotel was fine but they put us in their "sister" hotel for the 1st night due to a/c issues! Really bad neighborhood and had to pack up and move the 2nd night. Told us they would give us some credit for the extra hassle and taxi, but nothing. We booked 3 months in advance - move somebody else! Ended up the 2nd night with no a/c but a fan so it never got fixed. Paid far too much for the hassle we went through. On top of that, they charged my card a total of 5 times! "Woops" Had to wait for all the credits back.

The hotel is a little bit old. The room is not look like on the picture. It is not very clean. But the hotel is near to Chinatown, very nice.
