We had a great 2 day stay here! RFH is located in the old town of Chiang Mai near all of the temples which we wanted to visit. Upon arrival you are greeted by the charming Mai, a kind manager who checks you in and then you select slipper shoes to wear during your stay at this immaculately clean guest house. Our stay was on the top 4th floor, there is no lift but we did not have any issues, we actually were happy as we had a great peek a boo view of the Wat Chendi. The room provides a comfortable bed, A/C, tv, basic amenities and even a hair dryer which I was glad to use. The closet is non existent so for a long stay you might miss that, but hangers are provided and I could hang a few days worth of clothes. This property is near a very nice Massage/Spa we visited, as well as many great lil coffee shops and restaurants. It is a short 7min tuk tuk ride to the more busy touristy shopping area of Chiang Mai. I liked being apart from the hectic-ness but easy to get to when you wanted. This is a great hotel for couples due to a more quiet location.
this is a nice basic guesthouse.rooms are reasonable size but lack any real space for clothes, also no power point in bathroom.we stayed on fourth floor nice view but no lifts.staff were very friendly, rooms kept clean, however some mold in bathroom.grounds are lovely and often people will stop to take photo of them.not a fault of RFH but hugh tourist buses park in the vacant lot next door at inconvenient times for sleeping,a couple of times each week.
My wife and I stayed here two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was clean and comfortable. The property was very charming and well maintained. The location is the south side of the old city and within walking distance to shopping and food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We plan on staying here again.
The staff are helpful and friendly here, we stayed to sort out our China visas and found the printer a great help as everything had to be printed (this was free to use). The rooms are basic but they have everything you need. The location is very good, central to most things.
My husband and I were visiting Chiang Mai for 4 days. This little hotel was such a haven. The room was spacious, clean and airy. Loved the large windows which allowed the room to be flooded in light. Cleaning was done daily with fresh towels and the bedding was changed during our stay. Complimentary water was provided. Air conditioner was very effective, and the hot water was plentiful. The location in the old city was fantastic..we were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see. Mai at the front desk was a delight, and always helpful and kind. The garden was full of flowers and so green and lush..it was lovely to return to in the evenings. Free Wi-Fi which worked a treat, too I can honestly not think of any negatives with this little gem. Our experience was delightful!
Plus Location, good sized rooms, think 1st floor rear rooms are better than second floor. Helpful staff with good english. Sorted my washing for 70 baht. 100 meters to the right seven ... Something it is called. Go for brekki. Sheets were lovely Negs. Would of been good if they did breakfast.
We stayed at the Rachamankha Flora House for 4 nights during our visit to Chiang Mai, and we absolutely loved it. It's a lovely little B&B that feels clean, is totally comfortable and is very reasonably priced. While we were in Chiang Mai, we ran into some logistical issues and Mai, who runs the place, was super accommodating and helpful. The location is perfect - inside the old city and convenient to pretty much everything, but not in an area overrun by tourists.. closer to some quieter streets where local residents live. They have everything you need - laundry services, computers, and overall just a lovely place to be. I would stay here again in a second!
A quiet, clean, nice hotel in the old city in Chinag Mai. A walking distance from the main canals and main street and a few of the weekend markets, but actually away from all the noise and hassle. Mai, the lady running the place, was extremely kind and helpful and had great English. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen or restaurant so we had breakfast at the "Coffee Lovers" next door. The room was comfortable big enough for our needs, but 4th floor with no elevator. Would stay there again gladly.
I enjoyed my stay at Rachamankha Flora House. My room was clean and had a private bathroom. It was in a good location and good street food was close by. It was 10 minute walk to the Sunday Night Walking Market. The travel booth at the front of the hotel was helpful in booking activities. The laundry service was quick and affordable. The front desk was unstaffed much of the time which was a bit inconvenient. I arrived early and felt unwell. They allowed me to check into my room at 10am, which was really helpful.
We stayed at the Flora House for 5 nights in April, 2014 and this was the perfect little guest house close in the Old Section and walking distance to many other busier areas yet far enough away to be a peaceful haven and of course, delightful garden. The owners live on the property and may be there to greet you. You'll feel like family and their presence made my visit with my son feel very welcome and like family too. (Little Grandson is a Delight!) While we did not use the on-site booking service for tours, etc., it seemed very convenient to have - and perfect if you haven't booked tours or day trips to have this right outside your door. Everything was clean, well maintained and an excellent value. Thank you Flora House!
