This is a Victorian era hotel that has been properly upgraded with modern amenities. It is directly across from the train station, which is extremely convenient and walking distance to attractions. The only downside is the check in time is 4:00 pm and there was a long line of people waiting for pre-booked rooms.

Lovely hotel, very good location, right across from train station, 10 min walk to center of Chester. Room a very good size, bathroom had bath tub/shower, nice to supply kettle with coffee/tea. Option to open windows or have air conditioning. Bed's very comfortable. Would definately return!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The bed and beddings were comfortable and clean and the bathroom was well provisioned (we particularly liked the shower). We only stayed one night but had a really restful time. The hotel also offers an excellent baggage storage service which we loved as we could store our heavy luggage while we explored the beautiful town of Chester.

The property was full of character. Very spacious with several areas to relax inside and outside. The food was excellent on both breakfast and evening meal. The bedroom was spacious. Staff friendly and helpful.

Waited in a quite big queue for around 15 minutes just to book in whilst worrying about getting a parking ticket outside as only allowed 20 minutes waiting as only one staff member on reception. The next day I saw more people queuing. The facilities and room and cleanliness of the whole hotel are excellent so sort out the issues at reception
