Hotel is in a great location, facilities are all very good. It has a very nice bar with large TV screens and comfortable seating, the breakfast which was included is buffet style and of a good standard. The only thing that lets it down is the quality of the mattress and the awful pillows they seem to use on both sides of the hotel. We asked to move after the first night as the bed & pillows in our room was shocking, to be fair they moved us across to the newer side into one of the upgraded rooms with no fuss and it was a lot better but for a fairly high end hotel you would expect the beds / mattresses and pillows to be of a lot better quality even in the newer side. Reception staff are nice and friendly and it’s a 5 min walk to the centre where the bars and restaurants all are.

Clean, quiet room and comfortable mattress. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated within easy walking of Chester with all it's shops and eateries. Easy driving to local sites of interest, including Ness Botanical Gardens, nature reserves and historical sites. A great base for exploring the surrounding area. Hotel restaurant is fine for a more relaxed bite to eat. Spa service and experience (massage) was very good. Excellent buffet breakfast!!! Good value for money. I would definitely visit again!

This hotel is close to the train station and to the Chester city center. It's clean.The staff is very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed our stay there. We would stay there again.There are good amenities, good walking areas next to the hotel, and places to exercise.

Nice but......

Room was very nice but far too warm. There was a fan but it didnt work. However i did report this and a second arrived. It still had a rather dated bath. I would have thought most by nowadays should be shower's. There was no assistance bar or handle to help lower myself onto the very low down bog. As i am slightly disabled this was a small issue, that can be easily solved by fitting a handle. Also there was no bog brush so my skiddies remained. We had a lovely meal in the bar which could have gone drastically wrong, it was only that the barmaid noticed that the barman serving us placed an order for burger instead of Steak!! Breakfast was 100%. I could not fault the staff or food. All most acceptable. I paid £82 for 1 night which i think was reasonable. Would i stay again ? Yes, hopefully with bog brushes !!

I asked for vegetarian sausages when I went for breakfast and these were forgotten. I reminded the staff after I had waited 15 minutes for them, and then waited more than another ten minutes. I would have been nice if mushrooms were also available at the breakfast buffet.
