My wife and I spent one night here in October. We often prefer single story, mom and pop motels and chose this one based on reviews here on TA. We aren't real picky and can do without a lot of fluff but this place was disappointing even to us. Yes there is a small creek behind it but it's actually more like a drainage ditch. The banks of the ditch are lined with stones held in place by chain link fencing. Not attractive. Our bed felt exactly like sleeping on a box spring without the mattress. The room was dark. There was a sign asking guests to keep windows closed when heat or AC were on but when we tried to close them they kept reopening on their own. There are too many other more attractive places to stay in Maggie Valley to stop here. I will say the owners are nice they just need to invest a little more TLC into the place.

For year I stayed at The Abbet Inn in Maggie VAlley and loved it. But the owner's health went downhill and they had to closie it down. For abou the last 5 years I've been searching for a new place to replace the Abbey. I've tried a number of motels but nothing ever seemed just quite right. Until now. Last week we stayed at the River Point Lodge and it was perfect. Bear in mine this is not some fancy chain motel. This is a small Mom & Pop type motel which is exactly what I prefer. The owner - Tim - was super nice and accommodating and went out of his way to make sure everything was right. We'll be going back for sure!!

It's a good old mom and pop motel in the best sense of that phrase. Small mountain stream runs behind it. The delightful sound makes sleeping easy. The rooms are clean and comfortable. All in all, a good place to stay.

Great place welcoming owner every thing clean and working. Dated rooms but its that kind of place in Maggie if you want glitz go give the Cherokee 500 bucks a night at Harrahs. Nice spot on two creeks so great to sit out in the evening. TV and wifi worked for the little we used it. This wasn't a bike trip for us but would be good for that wit flat parking and mostly right a your door.

My Husband and I had Stayed here before and Enjoyed the Creek Behind the hotel and Quaintness and It had Been sold to a Wonderful and Friendly Couple So Happy to meet them & Talk to them if you want an Peaceful nights rest and Clean and Comfortable and affordable This is your Place. We will be back and stay here

Clean, comfortable, sound of the creek was awesome. The owner suggested a place to eat, couldn't have been better. 80+ year old parents had fun here, they enjoyed talking with the friendly bikers. Wife wanted to stay again on our way back through, sad to say but i had reservation elsewhere. We will stay a week the next time through here.

Just checked in for our first visit. Met Tim the owner, very nice guy, couldn't have been more helpful. Spoke with him before we left Mn, he told us he would do whatever we needed as far as check-in since we were driving. How nice was that. Property is very cozy, room is very nice, more after a good nights sleep.

We stayed here on our way home from Charleston, our room was on the end toward the highway, wouldn't recommend the room because of noise. The people in the office were helpful & friendly, they recommended a place to eat.

We stayed two nights in this very comfortable creekside inn. We had never been to Maggie Valley and were eager to see the sights...Soco Falls, Wheels Through Time Museum, Elevated Mountain Distillery, B&C Winery, and of course, the beautiful Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were travelling from Canada with our service dog so it was important to find the right place to "call home" for two nights. We chose River Point Lodge out of the many hotels in Maggie Valley after talking with owner Tim on the phone and feeling like he was really interested in providing just the right experience for us. Our room was spacious and well-equipped with fridge, microwave, second sink and vanity and large windows looking out on the beautiful fast-flowing creek. We liked the fact that the lodge was set in away from the busy traffic of Soco Rd. and the setting was very peaceful with the creeks, grass areas and walking trails...a lovely change from the typical hotel concrete parking lot. The owners, Tim and Chris, were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was not included but certainly not necessary as there were many nearby restaurants where we enjoyed excellent meals at very reasonable prices. Bring your own hair dryer but other than that, this inn had everything we needed and we hope to visit it again.

This hotel is very quaint and has a nice small town charm. The rooms are cozy and right on the creek. It makes it feel as if you are camping. The room was clean and cozy. The mattress was kind of hard so keep that in mind if you need soft sleep.
