This is our 4th time staying with Karen at Misty Mountain Ranch. We had our friends Rob and Beth with us, their first time. We have two rooms upstairs, as usual we took the Moonshiner room. This big, well appointed room has a king bed, kitchen area with coffee maker and micro wave, a whirlpool tub/shower, beautiful Pine paneling, and a balcony. We arrived Friday afternoon about 4PM, our rooms were ready. Saturday morning breakfast was hot and ready pancakes with bacon, fantastic! We sat for over an hour talking with other guests, drinking great coffee, and then on the motorcycles and off we went. It did rain Saturday afternoon, but that is all part of the experience. My Road Glide is a great touring bike and handles the curves well, altho a bit slower than the sports bikes that were running the roads. We got back to MMR, wet, but the rain suits did a pretty good job at keeping us dry. We decided to stay Saturday night rather than go out to have dinner, so we feasted on the snacks that are supplied at no charge, popcorn, chips, and candy bars, washed down with a Pepsi or Coke! Not on my diet, but it was only one night. Sunday dawned cloudy with scattered showers but looked like they might clear out mid morning. We enjoyed Denver omelets, fresh fruit, danish and coffee for breakfast, all prepared for us, hot and delicious! Sure enough, about 10:30 the rain had stopped and blue sky was peeking out. We packed up and hit the road to Greensboro by 11:00AM. We have come to look at Misty Mountain as our Maggie Valley "home". Karen always makes us feel welcome, like we were family but didn't have to help with the dishes. Her rates are reasonable, all the rooms are spotless, towels are fluffy, and breakfast is fantastic! I would recommend Misty Mountain Ranch for a motorcycle weekend, a romantic weekend, or just a get away from it all weekend.

We recently stayed three nights at the ranch. This was our first time staying here and I will stay here again. Our room was very nice, well equipped with everything you may need. Karen and her staff were great, they took extra care of the guest and made us all feel welcome. Chastity was host for breakfast our first day at the ranch. She was an absolute blast and took care of all our needs.

I surprised my wife with this reservation as it is our anniversary coming up.This was one of our first stays in a B&B. Generally a nice experience. Room was exactly as described...clean and well kept. Bathroom was well equipped and also clean. The basket of snacks and drinks in the refrigerator are a nice touch. The real highlight was the breakfast. My wife and I loved it! Well prepared and presented.. french toast, etc. Karen and her staff were very friendly and helpful. Give it a try if you are in the area!

This was one of our first stays in a B&B. Generally a nice experience. Room was exactly as described...clean and well kept. Bathroom was well equipped and also clean. The basket of snacks and drinks in the refrigerator are a nice touch. The real highlight was the breakfast. I'm not much of a breakfast person but my husband loved it! Well prepared and presented..blueberry pancakes, french toast, etc. Innkeeper and her staff were very friendly and helpful. Give it a try if you are in the area!

For the amount of money I paid, I expected more. First be aware these are not cabins. They are trailers made to look like cabins. They are tiny inside. Next, the bed is an old mattress that sinks in the middle. Really? You can't provide a decent mattress? Next there is very little hot water, so take your showers fast! Again, is hot water too much to ask? Lastly, there is an ant problem so don't leave even a crumb around or you will be infested. Again, for the cost, we could have rented a real cabin in the area so I do not believe the cost is worth it for this trailer/cabin.

My husband surprised me with this reservation because this was my first time ever, second we were celebrating our belated anniversary and third we were in town for a sling shot convention. Best decision ever rooms were perfect, clean and very comfortable. I have to say Karen set the bar very high with her great hospitality, wonderful stories and not to mention the best homemade breakfast you can find. The beds are so very comfortable and the rooms are super clean not a thing you could find wrong. They even stocked the room daily with drinks and snacks at no extra charge if you ask (now who does that anymore) the assistant I believe her name was Christian or Christy I may have that wrong but she was the best met your every need durning breakfast and always had a smile on her face. I’m a serious critic when it comes to my food and where I stay and there truly was not anything wrong with this lovely place. Completely beautiful rooms and property. If you are looking for a great place to stay this is the place.

On a recent motorcycle trip, I was seeking out lodging that was quiet and off the beaten path for a relaxing stay and Misty Mountain Ranch turned out to be the perfect spot. A short ride off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Maggie Valley, the Ranch is set back off the main strip in a very quiet residential area. The staff at the inn were very kind and attentive and when I saw my room I was even more impressed - lovely and spacious with wood accents and a beautiful bathroom with a whirlpool tub which I enjoyed after serious miles on the bike. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well that night. The next morning, a wonderful blueberry pancake breakfast was served downstairs with the other guests to chat with as we ate. This place is very under-advertised as it is a great value for beautiful accommodations and top notch service - you can tell how much pride is taken in caring for every detail of your stay - would highly recommend it!

My husband and I were so recharged after staying here in the Prospector’s Suite. Every detail was thought out- the phone call to help us upon arrival, cookies on our table, tour from Karen when we got here, complimentary snacks, comfy bed, relaxing jacuzzi, warm fireplace, and more. This cozy place felt like home. CLEAN and well-run. Excellent breakfast while Karen entertained us with stories and engaged us in conversation. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

What a gem! This bed and breakfast has three amazing large suites. They also have numerous free standing cabins on the property. It's pet friendly for several cabins and one of the suites. We chose the Dream Catcher suite and took our dog with us. It you like native American, we recommend this suite. We had a fire place, Jacuzzi tub for two and a pond right outside the door. We could not have asked for a better weekend getaway. The owner and the ladies that work there were absolutely amazing. We felt like a King and Queen at the breakfast table the food and the company were very nice. If you're looking for a quick romantic getaway from it all, check out Misty Mountain Ranch Bed & Breakfast.

Misty Mountain Ranch is a wonderful place to stay! The grounds are so tranquil and peaceful, the lodging is beautifully and very thoughtfully designed and decorated, absolutely pristine - super clean, and the staff are so friendly and kind. The breakfast is very tasty, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Karen, the owner and manager of the ranch. We stayed in the Dreamcatcher suite and absolutely loved it. It was so cozy yet spacious - each and every detail of the room was so well planned and impeccably maintained. If you are planning to visit Maggie Valley, Waynesboro, or other nearby areas, Misty Mountain Ranch is definitely the place to stay!!
