Stay here on business regular They generally get lots wrong like room type I have the suite rooms but they always try put me in a non suite Once sorted all is fine Good place but I’m going to try some of the others people rave about! This has few restaurants near is onto the rocks You won’t leave there wanting more food I can assure you!
Stayed here for the first time, while the lobby is fine and the restaurant is ok, for a 5 star hotel the rooms were a little run down. There were chips coming off the main door and on the other wooden panels and furniture inside the room. The room had a damp smell throughout the night which was not expected. There were no eatables placed although they found a place in the room's bar menu. The size of the room was small too as compared to some local 4 star hotels which I found much better in my previous stays in Chennai. Hope things will improve in due course.
I stayed here on a recent business trip to Chennai. The hotel is wonderful. The rooms are comfortable and quite, the bed - always my measure of a great hotel was exactly what I needed after a longer than necessary trip from Sydney. The hotel organised my transfer which were great. So easy to deal with the team here. The food was delicious. This hotel will now be my go to hotel in Chennai.
Crowned Plaza is a good, solid hotel. After a rocky start (30+ minutes to check 3 people in!), service was very good and friendly. Breakfast buffet was good, many options and service. One morning there was a long wait due to a late rush, so they escorted about 12 guests to the club lounge. Nice touch! Good bell staff and well arranged airport transfers. Very good stay
I picked this hotel for a 10 day stay for 26 international fellows from 17 countries. It was ideal, the best in the city, for many reasons. First, the space wears well, especially for the weary and long-staying. The pool area is large and garden-like in a central garden. The two lobby areas were perfect for gathering. I've stayed in the room and old rooms and like them both. The new ones are top notch and polish, lovely look. But I loved the older wing for long term. They are larger and more relaxed, comfortable. The concierge staff were delightful, even with my round-the-clock requests and even when I left my poor driver waiting 4 hours without realizing it. Sundaram thank you for scoring us Kabaddi tickets!! The housekeeping staff were always sweet and helpful, thank you Senduran. Breakfast was tasty and I enjoyed sitting outside in the atrium, ordering french toast and cappuccino most days. A real find was the South Indian restaurant inside the hotel Dakshin. The live music while we played was a surprise, loved it. The spa is probably the most beautiful part of hotel. Go in even if you don't get service - has a full barber and tons of stuff for men as well. Highly recommend!
This is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Chennai.Very courteous staff, quicke service & great. One of the best south Indian food I ever had is here. Keep up the good work.Would love to stay here again.
This hotel has good choice of restaurants and amenities. Great choice for breakfast. Staff always welcoming and helpful. The hotel is a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of life outside. Would recommend to upgrade to executive room, this gives access to the lounge in the evening. There is a spa reasonably priced, and a good choice of restaurants to choice from in the hotel.
Excellent location of the hotel.. Good food and good hospitality by Mr. Santoz . I recommend this hotel to everyone, who is looking for a good stay, good food and great hospitality. The behavior of the staffs is friendly.
I want to acknowledge one person in particular, Deepanshu Chaturvedi, Assistant Front Office Manager, who really went the extra mile to support my stay in the best way possible. He is a true leader, in the decisions he makes and in his listening skills. Also the housekeeping staff were a joy, my bed super comfortable, an excellent pool, stunning food and excellent facilities. The hotel is well located and with great shops and services nearby.
Adyar gate hotel and the banyan tree are part of my memorable childhood. Name has changed, but the tradition continues. The door man, South Indian Restaurant, chandelier. As a teen I use to hangout at G2 and my brother liked the sports bar which is missing now. Friendly staff .. nostalgic
