Stayed here several days. Lovely, clean, quiet! Only one heavy walker in the room above us, but peaceful, quiet nights other than that. Breakfasts were delicious, better than those we've had at various Hampton Inns.
My family and I stopped and stayed here passing through. The room was clean and efficient for what we needed. Nice breakfast variety and friendly staff. The view from the parking lot was phenomenal! We were up early and the fog was sitting on the mountains, so pretty!
My mom and I stayed here for two nights on a weekend in a queen suite while touring Chattanooga. Our room was spacious and clean. Some of the furniture was a little beat up, but the room was nice. The location was good for exploring the city and doing the Lookout Mountain attractions. There also appeared to be several restaurants close by though we chose to go downtown to eat. Our room window looked across to another hotel, and I could see right into their rooms with the curtains open and vice versa. A family actually even waved to me from their room in the other hotel as I was first looking out the window after arriving! Because of this, we kept the curtains closed all weekend for privacy, which sadly kept all the sunlight out. Check-in was okay. We were assisted by a new employee who was trying her best. She did announce our room number out loud though which I thought was a big no-no, especially since my mom and I were two women traveling alone. I learned from the last Fairfield I stayed at, and brought my own pillow. Those feather ones just don't do it for me. My biggest complaint was the internet on the Friday night of our stay. It basically didn't work at all for the entire night. I called the front desk to let them know and to ask for an access code for high speed internet, which is often given to us during check-in since we're reward members. But I was told that they were "all out of access codes" and that it probably didn't work because so many people were using it at that time. I was disappointed by this response. Internet can be a necessity for many people when they travel so when a hotel advertises as having WiFi, then they should have WiFi that's capable of working properly when the hotel is full. Hopefully they address this in the future. Saturday night, the internet worked well.
I was very impressed with the staff at this hotel. Very professional and polite. We stayed one night in a king suite. It wasn't as large as expected but nice and comfortable nonetheless. A great view from the 4th floor. Breakfast was hot and good (appreciated REAL sausage, not turkey sausage). Close to many attractions and restaurants. About a 10-15 minute drive from downtown. We liked it!
Was not pleased by this hotel. The room was very small with a kingsize bed there was just enough space to get around the room. The A/C unit was so close to the bed you either were freezing or hot and the fan was noisy. Did not sleep well. Of the two elevators only one would stop at the first floor so every time you pushed the button to go down that elevator opened up and you would have send it up and push down again to wait for the other one.
We chose this property first because of Marriott's reputation and secondly because of its location. We always stay Marriott when possible and this is just one more reason why. The check-in staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We are a family of 5 and the staff made sure we had additional sheets and blankets for our child that would be crashing on the couch. The room was in excellent Marriott fashion; clean, orderly, and well equipped. We slept so well we almost missed breakfast! The complimentary breakfast is great, but closes at 9:30. So don't miss it! There are many options and I usually try them all. The waffle line was slow, but worth a 5 minute wait. That gave me time to drink a good cup of coffee. The pool is indoors and no complaints here. There are plenty of towels, chairs, tables, and an outside patio. Usually the highlight for a hotel stay is getting to play in the pool and its disheartening when bad weather does not allow. It is also not very deep which is great with the kids. They can splash and play without fear of them slipping into a deep end. The location is just a few miles from Ruby Falls, Rock City, and other Lookout Mountain attractions. It is also just a 10 minute drive to downtown Chattanooga for dinner and fun. We will most definitely stay at this location the next time we spend a few days in Chattanooga!!
Stayed two nights. Upon arrival at about 5 pm no one was at desk. Sign indicated return soon. In about 5 minutes she returned with a luggage cart for someone. We were quickly checked in. Just seemed to me that they were short of staff at that time of day. Had two elevators. One would not go to first floor. Had to play a push the buttons game to get the one that would take us to first floor. Since we arrived on Sunday I assumed this would be fixed on Monday. When we checked out on Tuesday the problem was still there. Room was adequate. Breakfast was as expected at a Fairfield Inn. Greatest strengths were the great staff and the convenient location for Lookout Mountain.
This was my first stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites Chattanooga, but it certainly won't be my last. We were greeted by a charming, helpful young woman named Shawn, and the service in the hotel continued throughout. The hotel is very clean and modern, and our room was huge! I hear they'll be remodeling soon, and if the way they have kept the property to date is any indication, it will be beautiful. The view of the mountains from the property was the proverbial icing on the cake. When I next travel to Chattanooga, I won't be staying anywhere other than Fairfield Inn.
This Marriott property gets an excellent review in all respects. The staff (from front desk to cleaning staff) were all polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast was above average. We slept well on comfortable beds. The climate control was good. The grounds were pleasant and well kept. We would stay here again if in the area.
All staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Check in was quick and checkout even faster. The best continental breakfast we have ever had. There was a variety of options and staff kept it very well managed. The pool looked inviting although we did not swim. The room was clean and comfortable. We will be back when visiting Chattanooga in the future.
