My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Fairfield Inn at Lookout Mountain on three occasions in the past six months. Two of those stays were without reservations and they were able to accommodate us. Each time the staff at checkout in and check out have been extremely outgoing, pleasant and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure our needs are met. We have enough not taken advantage of the breakfast they offer because we wanted to get back on the road as quick as possible. We will stay again as we come through on our trips between Illinois and Florida. Give this hotel a try, convenient location to all the local attractions.
We had to book here in a pinch. Rooms were clean & nice. Beds just ok. Good towels & Paul Mitchell toiletries. Front desk & housekeeping Employees were friendly & helped with whatever they could. Beautiful view from hotel of Raccoon mountain & Lookout Mountain. Indoor pool. No outdoor pool or hot tub. Breakfast was decent but they pull It right at quitting time so better go early if you want to eat. The breakfast girl (red head) seemed agitated when they were ask for anything close to quitting time. It is nice enough I would stay again for a cheaper price.
We stopped here shortly after midnight for an overnight the Friday before Memorial weekend. The woman thar checked us in was a very kind and friendly soul. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, too. My only complaint, and a very minor one, was a lack of seating options at breakfast. We ate ours on the patio and enjoyed those gorgeous mountain views!
Our vacation plans on the beach fell through while we were 11 hours from home; but we didn't want to short change our daughter of her summer vacation. We passed Lookout Mountain on our way south and figured it would be a great stand in. We booked a room at a hotel in downtown Chattanooga and headed 6 hours from the Georgia coast to Chattanooga. That hotel was not what we expected and ended with us leaving to find something else when there was no hot water. So after six hours on the road everyone was tired, hungry, our baby needed to get to bed, and we were scrambling to find a place to stay. This was June 7th, the week of the Riverbend music festival and Bonaroo, so hotel after hotel was booked. We were on the verge of giving up. I told my wife everyone else could sleep in the car and I would drive as far as I could that night. Then we stopped at this Fairfield Inn. They had one room left for Wednesday and Thursday night. That alone would have saved our vacation but this hotel went above and beyond all of our expectations. I travel a good bit for work and this was one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in for a very long time. No holes in the walls. No rips in the carpet. No damaged or broken furniture. It was by far one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. That staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. No one seemed to be forcing or faking it. Shawn and Tekesha were working the front desk the Wednesday night we checked in, and they were awesome. After talking with Shawn we immediately knew our hellish day was finally over. There was a lady who works the morning breakfast (I never caught her name) who was also a joy to see every morning. The hotel was nice, but the staff saved our vacation. They definitely earned repeat customers when we come back to the area.
Our room was just what we wanted. Enough room, nice bathroom, comfortable bed and cleaned spotless each day. The house keeping staff showed personal attention to our items each day. Our room on the second floor was quiet and relaxing. A great stay begins with a great staff and this Fairfield has just that. The ladies on the front desk welcomed us each day as we returned and ask how our day was. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The lady there kept the tables clean and inquired each morning how we were doing and if we were enjoying our stay. The GM was around paying attention to the guests. This hotel's location is ideal for seeing the sites in the area and just a short drive from downtown Chattanooga.
I usually choose Fairfield Inns if I can while auto touring. They are uniformly, clean , efficient and quiet and include a decent buffet breakfast. The Lookout Mountain Fairfield is exceptional. The evening desk staff on Saturday June 3, were simply fantastic, friendly, efficient and extremely helpful. The Marriott family should be very proud of these two associates and reward them appropriately. We enjoyed a delivered dinner on the patio on a gorgeous afternoon with a spectacular view of Lookout Mountain.
Very clean hotel with wonderful staff. Customer service rep Shawn was a true treasure. The room was bright and clean- bed was perfect. They even provided Paul Mitchell shampoo. Breakfast was wonderful- just perfect with fruit, cereal, waffles, sausage and the best oatmeal. The Sunday paper was a wonderful addition to have while eating. I guess I was most impressed by the 3 policemen who stopped by to speak to the staff and grab a quick bite- what a wonderful service to the men who serve us. I was most impressed- wonderful hotel which made our weekend just perfect. Go see Rock City, Ruby Falls, Hamilton Place Mall, and the food.... we are planning a trip in the fall just to see the leaves.
We frequent the Chattanooga area for business and personal visits. We like this hotel because it is out of the middle of downtown and close enough to all area activities and has many nearby restaurants so downtown trips are not required.
Stayed for one night in a standard room with two queen beds decorated per the typical Fairfield Inn décor and color scheme. The room was clean but definitely tight… there was a fairly useless second chair awkwardly squeezed in the corner between the wall and a bed. Our room was ready early (we requested to check-in by noon) despite being full the prior night. We had no difficulty finding a parking space. Breakfast was the standard Marriott buffet - seating was sparse, but tables were cleaned promptly and the food was good. This hotel is convenient to the interstate – there is nothing spectacular nearby in terms of dining/entertainment but it is a quick drive to downtown. Positives: free parking, free breakfast, clean, modern décor, refrigerator/microwave in room, quiet, friendly staff Negatives: standard rooms are tight with two beds (I would not recommend for more than two people) Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again for a quick trip to the area or for an overnight stay. Fairfield Inns are one of the most budget friendly of the Marriott options. There is nothing that necessarily stands out or is unique about this hotel; however, I think it ranks well compared to other hotels at a similar price point.
We were in Chattanooga, and wanted somewhere close, but away from the traffic of downtown. The Fairfield Inn was perfect. About 10 min. from town, but far enough so no real traffic. Units were very clean and neat. Front desk was helpful and very friendly. Had a heated indoor pool, plus an outdoor deck to get a little sun. Free breakfast was an added surprise. Would definitely stay again if in the area.
