Great place to stay Close to Charleston without paying Charleston prices. Easy on and off highway. Quite location and friendly staff too.

The complimentary breakfast could have been better. Juice machine was broke and food was not very warm

Nice clean, quiet hotel in a good area. My only issue was that the breakfast wasn’t the best. Eggs and sausage taste weird.

This hotel is little more than a cheap motel. It looks nice at first, then when you look closer, it's gross. We had to change rooms 3x to find one that had working heat. The bathroom in each room was dirty (soap residue and body hair in sink and bath). We didn't want to touch anything. We asked for more pillows, the concierge didn't have the key. There was only one concierge on duty for what seemed like the entire hotel. She was lovely and worked very hard. But there was no cleaning staff or fix-it people on call. It was new years eve, so maybe that sort of explains it. But still...

Nice hotel with helpful staff. The air freshener smell in the lobby and hallways I found to be overwhelming strong.

Very clean and comfortable. Great amenities. Nice location

Nice, clean. The staff very hospitable. Great location, near shopping, and interstate. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to visit downtown Charleston.

Overall, my stay was pretty good. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel sits off by itself, so it was peaceful. However, in contrast with my other experiences while in Charleston, the feeling of Southern hospitality was not as strong. Also, breakfast items were not replenished quickly when out or running low.

The lady that prepared breakfast was so friendly and pleasant to deal with. Some of the front desk people were not very friendly. The beds were way to hard to sleep on I woke up every morning with hip and back pain.

TV in the room did not work. Staff did not offer any solutions. Maintenence blamed the cable company. It would have been nice if they offered a DVD or some form of on site entertainment. I would have liked more low carb options during breakfast.

Adequate for an overnight to rest and shower~Overall the staff is welcoming and pleasant. The common areas are comfortable, but if you're looking for luxury, this is not the place. The rooms could be more comfortable if cleanliness were more of a focus. Aside from regular wear and tear this hotel could use a proper cleaning. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and in the corners. Refrigerator and microwave had not even been wiped out or dusted. Decorative cover, sofa, and chair had dull and unidentifiable stains. The tile in bathroom needed proper caulking in the corners and the tile needed at minimum to be sprayed with cleaning solution or disinfectant. It seems as though only the towels and bed linens are changed between each guests stay.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Easy access from the expressway yet didn't hear anything noise.

I've stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham multiple times. Every time has been comfortable. For this stay, however, there was a high pitched whine emanating from some location in the room. Falling asleep was impossible until I found the sound and eliminated it. It turned out to be the refrigerator and we unplugged it and then we were fine. However, in the process of pulling the fridge from under the counter we found a layer of dust at least a year old on top of the fridge. Not pleasing. Then I found a red mildew on parts of the shower head. Not a lot but enough to be noticed. I spoke to the desk manager when we checked out and she said she would report it. Don't get me wrong. I will stay at this hotel again because of its location and because most of the time I've not had a problem.

Super clean and spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

North Charleston location is a stretch. 15 miles from downtown Charleston. Further than the airport. The room was not clean. There were fluid stains all over the chair and foot stool. The bed linens had hairs in them. Pillows needed to be replaced. The towel in the bathroom had a large clump of hair in like some one cut out a piece!

I got this hotel for a great price and I was very happy upon arrival. I didn't check the check in times so I actually arrived an hour early and they were booked the night before so there was no early check in, but that is my fault not theirs, they did try. I got into my room at check in time and it was really nice. I gave the location lower because of how far out of Charleston it was, I knew that going into it so I wasn't surprised though.

For your typ family quick stay it's ok . For business travel it lacks the amenities newer hotels have. Dining chairs are in shabby shape and vinyl upholstery is flaking off. Need to update.

We loved our stay here! We are a newlywed couple who actually booked the room for three nights but ended up staying an extra night. Everything was so clean and a friendly staff.

I stayed here overnight due to the location and past previous positive reviews. I had no interaction wit the staff, other than the front desk, and check-in/out was quick and smooth. Room was very clean and comfortable. Swimming pool and hot tub were great as well! I'd stay here again!

I enjoyed my stay the staff was very helpful, pleasant, and friendly.
