Wonderful Charleston Holiday
We had a delightful stay in Charleston! It is one of our favorite places and we chose the house for the location- it did not disappoint! The home itself was perfect and we enjoyed starting every morning sipping our coffee outside. Check in and check out procedures were seamless and the host was a breeze to communicate with.

Amazing Historical Home in the Heart of Charleston
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cozy carriage house. The location in heart of the French Quarter is exactly where you want to be. We didn’t require our car the entire time. The interior of the home is a tasteful mixture of old and new. The kitchen and downstairs bathroom are newly renovated. The older-vintage upstairs bathroom is functional and clean and immediately adjacent to one bedroom at the end of the hall. Every room is decorated with a mixture of artwork, colorful wool rugs, beautiful lamps, pillows, throw blankets, and pottery. The kitchen includes new appliances, a Keurig coffee maker (and pods) along with a complete array of cookware, dishes, and silverware. The cozy living room can easily seat 6 and includes a comfortable sofa and several comfy fabric arm chairs. The living room center piece is the old brick fireplace (non-working) decorated with an interesting iron piece and candle. The home has windows on both sizes which bring in lots of natural light. Just outside the front door is a magical brick courtyard area with tables/chairs, a little fountain, solar lanterns and beautiful landscaping. The bedrooms (which are both upstairs) overlook the lovely Washington Square green space. Both bedrooms include nice furniture, beautiful lamps and warm touches. Both have queen size beds which were pretty comfortable (but, not great). Overall, we highly recommend this lovely home on your next visit to Charleston.

My daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend. Everything about the property was perfect. It is a very charming property. They have everything that you need in this unit. The location is in the best possible spot. It is close to everything in the city. The owners mother Linda lives in the front house I had the pleasure of meeting her and her 2 dogs. She was simply delightful. We will definetly stay here again on our trips to Charleston.

A true Charleston experience
Location, location, LOCATION! We drove down from Columbia, parked in the courtyard, and we only needed to drive once to Mount Pleasant. This beautiful kitchen house is within walking distance from all the Charleston sights: we walked to the market, the waterfront, the battery, and all the best restaurants and shopping! Ruthie was the perfect host and thought of everything. She even had bubbly ready for us to celebrate when we arrived. The house was clean and homey, equipped with everything we needed to have our coffee in the mornings and wine and a VRBO-cooked meal in the evenings. Ruthie’s parents, along with their sweet pups, even checked in on us a time or two. Southern hospitality at its finest. Thanks for a fantastic experience!!

Cozy
It's cozy. I would not recommend to anyone that has stair problems. They are narrow and very slippery. Need bare feet. One of us slipped. Kitchen is VERY well stocked. The pictures make it look bigger than it is. There is parking down a very tiny drive. With all the new beeps on cars now mine didn't stop the whole time everything was so close. Because it can be difficult to turn around I had to back all the way out one day. Not easy. Of course most streets in Charleston are very narrow. It is in a very nice area with a beautiful park right next door.

Mother/daughter trip
We had a wonderful time in beautiful Charleston. The location of this property is ideal. It’s close to everything and is located right next to a Washington Park which is beautiful.
We had one small hiccup with hot water for the showers. But Ruthie and her mom took care of it immediately.
The kitchen house is quaint and is stocked very well. The only thing I would not recommend it for families with small children. The bedrooms are located upstairs and the stairs are very narrow and steep.

Overall nice stay in the kitchen house. The location can’t be beat to see old Charleston. House is a described. For the price, we were a little disappointed with the stock of basic supplies- no dish towels or kitchen sponges or extra bath towels. Owner provided single dish towel and sponges on request.
