The staff at this hotel was the best part!!! The hotel itself needs a remodel. The staff made my check-in and check-out process very easy and enjoyable. The bed in the room was old and uncomfortable and the carpet, A/C unit, ceiling fan and drapery were old/outdated which made being in the room less desirable. This is my first stay at a Homewood Suites so don't let me hinder your choice in hotels by my review because I absolutely love the Hilton hotel chain!
This hotel was awesome!, I would recommend this hotel to others, and I would definitely stay here again! My overall experience here was great ave the staff was awesome as well. Plead try for yourself! Great location.
Relatively new property in tip top condition. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. Very close to Charleston attractions and major highways. Mon-Thur evening meal and drinks serves in addition to the normal breaksfast.
I recently stayed here for a work related trip. The hotel is located very close to the airport and to some of the offsite car rental locations. Close by are a number of restaurants within walking distance. That being said, the hotel also featured evening happy hours with varying dinners and free breakfast. Also close to the hotel, albeit a longer walk (really short drive) is a Tanger Outlet Mall. Upon check-in, the staff was very friendly and the process was quick. The room is a suite, with separate living room, couch, chair, and table. In addition, there is a kitchen with a small table, stovetop, full size refrigerator, oven and microwave. The kitchen was stocked with misc. appliances, dishes, pots and pans, although I did not use any of them. The bedroom was separated by a door from the family room. Plenty of lights on all areas of the room, to include one under the microwave that I used as a nightlight. The bed was really comfortable. The closet contained a safe, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was clean and adequately sized. The outdoor pool seemed inviting, although I did not use it. The workout room was very basic, with an elliptical, exercise bike and treadmill. There were some weights, but pretty light in weight. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
I made a last minute reservation to avoid the brunt of hurricane Irma. Once we arrived the the staff was friendly and helpful. My family and our pets were comfortable in a two bedroom suite with a small kitchen. The breakfasts was excellent.
I had a great stay at this hotel! The evening socials are pretty nice and the breakfast in the morning is great! They actually had a customer appreciation party while I was there and they served top shelf liquor and food and all had a variety of fun games to play! The Sales lady of this specific branch is awesome as well! I reccomend this hotel to anyone passing by the area!
A poorly managed hotel that is slowly being ran into the ground. Dead bugs, hair, dirty sheets, dirty carpet, bad smells were all present in my suite. I'm not convinced the housekeeping staff cleaned at all before I arrived. Air temperature could not be controlled, I froze every night. Unhelpful hotel staff are either simply not present or just incapable of making a difference. This hotel may be great for a short night to get a few hours rest and be on your way, but this is NOT the place for any comfortable extended stay. I will never stay here again.
My husband i I just returned from here spending a few weeks for business travel. They really are kind and want to please.Offering breakfast and several days a week a dinner. If your on a budget, its a nice option. there are many restaurant choices within walking distance or an outlet mall. The pool area is simple but clean.About 20 min to Charleston ,15 min to a Costco and 30 to the beach.
We been staying at this hotel for the past 4 year's! Eboni, the front desk clerk was great! She definitely made our stay in Charleston extra fun! The hotel is very nice, but a little pricey! The rooms could use a little makeover...like get rid of the carpet and install hardwood floors! Overall, its worth staying there!
Although we were required to stay at this hotel for a 5 night business trip, Homewood Suites is one of our hotels of choice and as usual this one met our expectations. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and we esp. appreciated the free shuttle that was available 24/7 during our stay. Food selections for both breakfast and the light supper meals offered adequate selections. Overall we were very pleased with our stay.
