These Condominiums are close to the Killington ski slopes with a shuttle service. Shuttles are not frequent enough and during peak times you could be waiting a long time while full shuttles pass you by. We were a large group and had rented multiple condos. All units were small and extremely dated. Not very clean. The sofa beds were really uncomfortable to sleep on. Beddings were old and worn out. Kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer. A really disappointing stay. Would not recommend it.
My family and friends have been skiing at Killington for over 30 years. For about the lat 20 years we have been staying at Highridge condos for our ski week. This year the check in process had changed significantly. Previously. We could check. In around three in the afternoon. This year it wasn’t until 5:30 pm. We had gotten there around 3 pm. We were told to leave our number. And they would call us if the. Condo was ready before Check I. Time. At 5 pm,we went back to check, as it seemed that our condo would be ready before that time. We were told that it would not be ready until at least 6 pm. One of the staff members was somewhat rude, and we were not the only people who were delayed at the checking time. While we we not offered any compensation for the late check-in, other people were. ( there was a party of 9 that had brought beer and snakes to the Che k- in area) it was said for stays more than three days they would clean the condo and change the towels. This did not happen. Now all of this said. The condos are nice, very close to the mountain. There is a bus to the mountain if you would like. As stated before we have stayed there for our ski week for about 20 years. While stocked with the basic dishes, and cooking pots, I have never been to a condo there that has the cultlery or cooking utensils to do any sort of cooking other than heating pre prepared foods. There are washers and dryers in the units as needed.there is an outdoor hot tub which is nice and an indoor pool at the complex. All of that said we plan on staying there again next year. It is convenient and close to the mountain. The accomidations are nice. However plan be on brining prepared food if you would like to eat In or bring your own cultlery/and speciality cooking waresfor cooking in the unit. To prepare meals.
Five of us (my parents, my wife, me and our daughter) stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Killington. We would have stayed a fourth night but our flights left from Burlington so early that we stayed near the airport the last night out of convenience. The condo we stayed in wonderful. We had unit A8, a two-bed, two-bath unit with mountain views and a private sauna. The rooms had a king in the upstairs room and a full bath that served the entire upstairs (full kitchen and living room with fireplace), and the downstairs had a queen with a private bath (the sauna was in that bathroom and fits no more than two people). The kitchen was well appointed with full sized fridge, dishwasher, stove, oven, and coffee pot. The living room had two couches (including a sleeper sofa) and a small dining table that sat 5. Both the living room upstairs and the downstairs bedroom had balconies, though it was too cold to spend any time out there. Everything with our stay was good with the exception of the cold on the first night. Apparently the sliding door in the living room was off it's track (though not obvious), and this let it so much cold air that our daughter could not sleep on the pull out couch. The morning after the first night I found that the coffee pot had leaked from the reservoir tank, so when I called to ask about what I thought was defective heating I mentioned that, too. Late that morning a repair man came by with two portable heaters and a brand new coffee pot. It was then that he discovered the issue with the door and was able to fix it. We didn't have any more cold issues with that area the rest of our stay. However, the upstairs bedroom did get very cold the last night. Either the heating wasn't able to keep up with the cold that came through the windows, or the unit was defective. But it was a minor issue compared to how great everything else was.
I would agree with the reviews of this Condo complex but do not expect the best. Each unit is furnished by the owner and the one we stayed in needs furniture updates and there was a musty odor all weekend. The units have a nice kitchen, plenty of space and bathrooms clean. It would be a great place to stay and ski from with a little tlc. We were in Unit B5 and the beds are terrible. The upstairs mattress was like sleeping on springs. We did have another master type bedroom downstairs but that mattress was similar. I get it is a rental but off season and the price I would have expect a little better arrangements for the price. We really would like to try a different unit if we were ever there again. Its not terrible but could use a little TLC. Oh I did ask at check in for a condo with a good rating and this one has an A I think it deserved a B. The Hotel was nice and the people friendly. We did have a nice time while were in Killington.
We were on our fourth stop on a 10 day vacation. We had been staying at hotels and inns with the standard two bed room for the four of us. It was nice to get to Vermont and pull into a quiet two bedroom condo. At first we panicked because the place did not have air conditioning (this is intended to be a ski oriented accommodation) but once we opened the windows, the cool mountain air made everything nice and comfortable. We had plenty of room to stretch out and get a good night's rest. I think in the grouping of 20 or so condos, only a few were occupied. For us, this was a nice respite and gave us some nice rest while we were in Vermont.
The units are nice and spacious. There is a washer and dryer which is a plus. The kitchen is helpful and they provide lots of pans, dishes, etc. The views are beautiful. If you go in the summer, beware - there is no air conditioning. One of the bathrooms has a Jacuzzi, but only a hand held shower. If you are not used to driving in somewhat remote areas - it can be a little tricky and if you make a wrong turn - a little scary at night (no street lamps and winding roads). Otherwise, overall, a nice place to stay. Tip: if you need a car service, use Gramps Shuttle (802-558-1543).
Rolled in Tuesday morning of winter storm Stella... got into our room at 7:30AM (not 5:30PM as advertised!) and that helped a lot because the snow was coming down and we had just driven over two hundred miles in the dark - we needed to relax. We checked in at the front desk of the Killington Grand Summit hotel and stayed just up the road in an inexpensive Highridge Condo motel room, one that had a refrigerator... we brought our own small microwave and cooked in it with Tastiwave Cookware which allowed us to prepare some great food and conserve our budget - they work! Anyway, we enjoyed the sports center very much where they let you bring booze in but no glass... nice locker room, pool and, outside hot tub heated constantly... and the shuttle runs to the ski lifts every 15 minutes from the roads of the condos.
This is our family's second time here, and we were a multi-generational family staying in several units. We loved our stay. But, to be honest, it was off to an uncertain start when making the reservations. The reservationist was not very pleasant or helpful when I explained we were trying to get units located together. They need to realize that this is an important market segment - multigenerational families. And these units are not cheap, so additional service in the form of hospitality is not too much to ask. After this, however, it was a great stay. The unit we rented met expectations. It was clean, modern, comfortable, with nice extras. The Sports Center has an awesome indoor pool and large outdoor hot tub, which are family friendly and popular with all ages.
This was our first trip to Killington. We were in a 2 br accommodations and these were quite spacious. Unfortunately, what was the kids' room only had one queen bed that our 2 older children shared instead of 2 twins. We booked online, so I recommend calling instead to ensure that there are sufficient number of beds. There was a shuttle right outside of our building which took us to the snowshed lodge. The only minor criticism I have, and it is possible that we overlooked this information somehow, is that we arrived at night and it wasn't obvious that the check in for the condos was at the clubhouse. It took us some time circling around to figure this out. The lodges are wonderful. Even though it was warm we still got in some good skiing days. Everything was relatively easy once we arrived. The rentals were quick and efficient. The staff was very friendly. We will be certainly coming back.
Stayed in J-3, a 2-floor, 2 bedroom 2.5 bath condo. The decor is fine but dated and extremely basic. The jacuzzi tub is nice and there is a sauna too, but the shower inside that bath barely dribbles water. The queen bed in the downstairs bedroom has a slope downward toward the middle. All the basics are there, just nothing special.
