We've stayed at many vacation rental houses. This one gets the award for the best appointed home we've ever stayed at. It just had everything one could desire for a comfortable stay. Like, bug spray, first aid kit, coffee, plastic wrap, tin foil, every kitchen utensil known to man, slow cooker... the only thing missing was an air fryer (which I brought from home).
The beds are super comfortable. The views are amazing.
The management company was professional and communicated well.
Anything I would suggest as an improvement would sound petty to be honest. But I'll mention one: it's tricky launching a kayak/canoe/SUP. You have to walk through some serious muck and long grass to get to the water. Not sure what the answer to that is (a small dock? Or is it possible to bring in some rocks to make a rudimentary path?). But seriously, unless you plan on spending every day on the water it's really no big deal. I did it once and the pay off was worth it paddling around the islands. But that was enough for me.
I could see the stairs being an issue for some folks. You gotta be strong enough to bring your luggage/coolers, etc. up a lot of stairs. Our elderly dog had trouble with those stairs and had to be carried up/down. Not problem for a fit guy like me, but our older parents could not even bring their luggage up. Personally, I enjoyed the exercise!
Would definitely stay again! Absolutely beautiful, super clean home.
