Home away from home

We enjoy staying at Bikini Bottom whenever we come to Cedar Key. It is perfect for a family, with plenty of space to spread out and lounge around. There was ample room for us to park our 22’ boat and truck. The large kitchen is well stocked with plenty of untensils and cookware, lots of room in the living room and big beautiful bedrooms. The host is so easy to communicate and work with, making check in and out easy and smooth. They respond instantly to messages and leave clear instructions on what is expected from us. We look forward to renting again!!

A perfect house in Cedar Key

We've stayed at many vacation rental houses. This one gets the award for the best appointed home we've ever stayed at. It just had everything one could desire for a comfortable stay. Like, bug spray, first aid kit, coffee, plastic wrap, tin foil, every kitchen utensil known to man, slow cooker... the only thing missing was an air fryer (which I brought from home). The beds are super comfortable. The views are amazing. The management company was professional and communicated well. Anything I would suggest as an improvement would sound petty to be honest. But I'll mention one: it's tricky launching a kayak/canoe/SUP. You have to walk through some serious muck and long grass to get to the water. Not sure what the answer to that is (a small dock? Or is it possible to bring in some rocks to make a rudimentary path?). But seriously, unless you plan on spending every day on the water it's really no big deal. I did it once and the pay off was worth it paddling around the islands. But that was enough for me. I could see the stairs being an issue for some folks. You gotta be strong enough to bring your luggage/coolers, etc. up a lot of stairs. Our elderly dog had trouble with those stairs and had to be carried up/down. Not problem for a fit guy like me, but our older parents could not even bring their luggage up. Personally, I enjoyed the exercise! Would definitely stay again! Absolutely beautiful, super clean home.

The Cedar Key Life

If you haven't been to Cedar Key you absolutely must go! And when you go make sure you stay at this property! It is how you must experience this beautiful piece of Florida! The house is spacious, clean, close to everything (but still space to spread out), has picturesque views and many areas to enjoy these views, games to play when you feel a little competitive and if you want to know anything about the area or have any questions about the house itself just ask Adam or someone on the team and you will get a supersonic response! A beautiful place off the grid.

Bikini bottom was exactly as described. It was beautiful cleaned and I love how everything was labeled. It’s off the grid and you get a relaxing stay to unwind and enjoy the small town. Management team was very quick to answer any questions we had, and very courteous. Would definitely recommend to others.

Awesome !!!

Just stayed a week over Thanksgiving 2023. The home was awesome, just what we needed for my spouse, her parents, brother and myself. It's on a quiet street next to the Cedar Key airport. So you will hear the sounds of small Cessna type planes landing and taking off. You'll also hear the sounds of owls, several species of birds and the mullet fish jumping in the water. Each bedroom has a walkout deck. The main floor has a screened in large deck. There are two full baths up stairs and a half bath on the main level. There was plenty of room for all five of us. Also, we've stayed in numerous vacation rental homes. This was the first one that had labels on all of the kitchen drawers, cabinet doors and light switches. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cookware and utensils. The home backs up to one of the many bays that surround Cedar Key. But, you can see open water and stunning sun sets. Also, the management communicated very well with me before and during our stay. We'll stay again. Thank you.

Lovely Quiet Home

The house was beautiful and had all the comforts of home. The beds were very comfortable. It is located on a quiet dead-end street, so very little traffic. The view was lovely and the Gulf could be seen from the top deck. The Management Company was very helpful with a couple of items, which they took care of immediately. We hope to return again.

Wonderful property!

This house is exactly as described and had everything we needed. It’s very peaceful and quiet with a location on a dead end road. We didn’t have any need to contact the management company but they were prompt and courteous when texting the door code and checking out via text. Cedar Key is a quaint and quiet village with extremely friendly residents.

Cedar Key Stay

Well taken care of property. Stocking of the kitchen with tools/small appliances was excellent; the best I have experienced in some time. Furnishings were comfortable and excellent use of marking /designating facilities/lighting/fans and providing home instructions. Only suggestion would be to provide instructions for the TV/Cable/Streaming service remotes as there were 3. Best to be accurate instead of trial and error with equipment. One note, mosquitos were gigantic/horrific though (good to warn guests in advance). Thank you for a lovely stay.

Paradise Found

This raised home is peaceful and on the water. It is impeccably clean and tastefully decorated with a coastal design vibe. There are floor to ceiling windows with curtains. The porches, ooohh! the porches, are perfection. Large, spacious, ideal arrangement of furniture to enjoy the sunset, jumping fish and lovely mangroves. They are all screened in also so you’re not bothered by bugs. The kitchen is superbly stocked with everything you might need. You can tell that there has been a lot of love poured into this home by its owners. The house manager Kim was an excellent communicator. We enjoyed watching the osprey family that had a perch right across the water, as well as the numerous wood peckers that would visit right outside the porch and hearing the “plop” of numerous jumping fish. This property is near a small airstrip and you will occasionally hear a prop plane but you do not see the airport and it never bothered us. Loved this home!

Paradise

We come to Cedar Key several times a year and this is by far one of our favorite vacation homes! From the ample yard space to bring in our boat and gear, to the gorgeous roomy home above, this house has it all. The beds, all of them, were so soft and comfortable. Unlike other rentals that have those scratchy itchy sheets, Bikini Bottom has the softest comfiest sheets ever. Like I am going to go home and buy a set, soft. The home is well labeled, which I appreciate, from every light switch to kitchen instructions. No need to wander the house trying to figure out what turns on what. This home is located on the backside of the airport which offers even more peace and tranquility from an already peace and quiet town. We will definitely return as this is a true vacation home, one which you just step into and enjoy. McCormick mgt Crystal especially, was wonderful to deal with and easy to get a hold of. We can not wait to return! Thank you!
