Kirkcudbright, ’the artists’ town’, has art galleries, antique shops, museums and shops, whilst Castle Douglas, 2 miles, is known as Scotland’s food town. This is an excellent area for walkers and cyclists, with Dalbeattie 7Stanes nearby, and the Galloway Forest Park and Dark Sky Park also easily reached. Golf course 3 miles.
