as with all the other bad reviews we concur. one night was one too many. no air no power no fridge no phone no water no english speaking staff. tried moving rooms 4 TIMES then gave up! one of the new rooms they sent us still still had a man sleeping in the bed!
The food was very regular, nothing special. The room and the bathroom were dirty no way to control hot water in the shower. Very noisy, staff shouting and slamming doors in the corridors outside the room. Not recommended at all.
The person at the front desk would not let me into my room immediately because she was unfamiliar with online booking. She said that the prices online were old and it was going to cost more. After I made a big fuss she finally gave me the key. My friend (a man who was showing me around) was not allowed up and apparently men and women who aren't married can't be in hotel rooms alone together. The hallways smelled of mildew, the tub was completely rusted. Overall I just felt that it was unhygienic staying there. Plus all the rules after I spent MY money to enjoy the room as I please. I wanted to leave as soon as I saw the room but they would not refund me.
Wasn't impressed, it was basic, ill-run, noisy and I was woken at 3am by staff shouting and slamming doors in the corridors outside the room. I had expected at least a minimum standard for this hotel but it struggled to reach that even. breakfast was a joke, boiled eggs and stale bread were all I could see that were edible and the range offered less than that offered in a B&B. In all, not really a hotel, more a poor attempt at running one.
Free wi-fi in the room, good location, good food and good price. Not very clean, (bring some flip-flops), big nice bathroom. The freezer and two plugins did not work, even though we told the receptionist (they did not solve the problem). I most likely will not return.
i just spent a month in Morocco. This hotel was suggested by my travel agent. At $130 a night I expected a room with modern con's. The room was small, the fridge & air con didn't work, the bathroom was stale, free wifi in foyer only and management were rude. My fiancée from Morocco was forbidden to enter my room at any time ( Moroccan law) and was treated with disrespect. If I were you.. I would look for a nicer hotel.
Dirty, smelly... I have no words to describe how awful I felt. Everything's old and dirty. Bathroom and toilet not to mention - no cleanness at all. This is supposed to be a 4-star-hotel, but I cannot give it more than 1.
My family and I stayed here on a 3 day trip to Casablanca this past November. Upon entry the lobby looked nice and clean, albeit dated, with some beautiful wood carvings throughout. Check in went smoothly for us, but not so for the couple with whom we were traveling, as reception had lost their reservation. We were all exhausted from traveling nearly 16 hours by ferry, train, and taxi and were looking forward to enjoying some cocktails and appetizers from the restaurant and two cocktail lounges that are advertised on their website. Sadly, although they boast two bars, this is a completely dry hotel. This was a big disappointment, as their cocktail lounges were an aspect of why we chose the hotel. Also, they were out of nearly everything on the menu we wanted to order. Our room was comfortable and clean, although the mini fridge was completely for show, as it did not function nor have a cord to plug in. The bathroom had wonderful water pressure and boasted a bidet. The people at reception were aloof and seemed slightly annoyed when expected to provide us with any customer service. It is a great location in terms of proximity to the touristy sook, but a bit of a walk to Hassan II and the Medina, which was where we spent most of out time. I would recommend the hotel for its price point, location, and cleanliness, but I think there are much better places out there. I most likely will not return.
First impressions were very good and the reception staff were really helpful. However we found our room on the 3rd floor noisy (as hotel is located on a busy road) and not very clean. Rugs around the bed were covered in bits so we rolled them up and in general the room was not very clean. Breakfast was let down by lazy staff, who were more interested in taking food for themselves than cleaning tables or ensuring that items were available. We had to ask for almost everything we wanted. This could be a nice hotel if staff were more aware of customer needs!
I was in Anfa last year. It is not a 4 stars hotel as it is mentionned compared to 4 stars I have seen in other places. But for the price they give, it is a good hotel near the Medina and other facilities. Good breakfast that it is right ( Koen Pauwel), I didn't have dinner there because there are to many good restaurants and things around with all type of price, like good fish at the medina etc... I would recommand it
