Even though I didn´t stay at the hotel (went for dinner), I must say is one of the beautifulest places I have ever been. With an excellent location, stunning architecture, and incredible landscape and design, certainly, Casa Pestagua is one of Cartagena´s most precious treasures. Besides from being an stunning colonial house, having a big pool, and a rooftop with the best view of Cartagena, the restaurant is its best feature. Its name is Amadeus, and its open for the public. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect if you want to have dinner with your partner or friends since they have the greatest collection of jazz music (some nights they even play live). Finding a good wine list in Cartagena is very difficult, however, Amadeus has an excellent offering.Likewise, the menu has a variety of creative and unique dishes you’ll love to try.For starters, we had the Carpaccio de Res and it was outstanding, the plate was incredibly fresh and the sauce that comes with it gives the dish an exciting unexpected twist. No dish will taste like this, I ASSURE you.For our main course, we tried the Lobster, which was also incredibly good. Finally, our waiter was charming, professional, and had a good knowledge of the menu.Similarly, the timing of the food services was completely on point.Do not hesitate on having lunch or dinner here, is really te BEST restaurant in Cartagena!!
We were fortunate to,have chosen Casa Pestagua. Thank you for your care and authentic concern for.providing the best service and accommodation possible, each day brought us new reasons to know we had chosen well.
A true vacation place to stay, where you are pampered and have everything at hand from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. I plan on returning to Cartagena and staying at Casa Pestagua again. Highly recommended .
you feel at home away from home. the staff guess your desires, best ceviche in South America! You have no choice but get "spoiled" from the first to the last minute. The little Spa and, of course, the Amadeus restaurant are jewels.
This was our first trip experience to Cartagena, Colombia. We decided to stay @ a Hotel Boutique rather than a regular hotel. Everything went smooth and well. We received personalized service @ all times. We enjoyed breakfast time which was very complete and balanced. All people who work @ this place, enjoy what they do, including the manager. The Hotel has a good location where you can easily find convenient places. My family and I recommend staying @ this place if you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you all you guys from Casa Pestagua. Muchas Gracias!
My family and I recently spent several days at Casa Pestagua and we had a great experience. As an older hotel, there were a couple of minor issues but it is beautiful and the location is perfect. The staff is phenomenal and Jason, Orlando, Alejandro, and Giovanni deserve a special call-out for the attention they showed our young son. Note: If you do go, definitely try the house cocktail (Jason was gifted in this area).
Although I didn't personally stay at Casa Pestagua, I was referred to it by locals when my girlfriend and I were searching for a cute, classy, and elegant restaurant. The hotel is beautiful and inside of it lies Amadeus--a beautifully decorated gem of a restaurant. We sat at one of the outside tables with a view of the night sky and had one of the most romantic dinners we've had recently. We were also happily surprised when the food turned out to be the best we had on our whole trip! We started off sharing a seafood ceviche (although generous in size we had to order another seeing as we finished it rather quickly). I continued with the Cazuela de Mariscos (a typical Colombian soup filled with yummy seafood); it was also a generous portion, and I went on and devoured it with some patacon (fried plantain) and arroz con coco (coconut rice). My girlfriend ordered the seafood risotto (equally scrumptious), and I must admit I stole a spoonful or two! We paired our dinner with a fabulous Chilean Carmenere--I suggest you do too! Overall a 5/5. Definitely worth checking out, especially if on a romantic escapade with your significant other.
On all fronts this was one of the most enjoyable stays I've ever had a hotel. Was here for two nights. Could have stayed at a high-end generic high-rise hotel but chose this place because it oozes character. Every part of the building is beautiful. Rooms and bathrooms are huge with high ceilings. Staff are beyond nice and hospitable. They took care of everything with a smile on their face. It wasn't very busy when I was there so I felt like a king. They even have internet modems in each of the rooms so you have a dedicated high-speed line. The location is perfect, close to everything interesting in the old city. Highly recommend.
The trip was perfect. The hotel staff made my stay as amazing as possible. They recommended great attractions and restaurants. The hotel location is perfect. The decor and luxury at the hotel was brilliant. The rooftop view was fabulous. The breakfasts were perfect.
VERY nice hotel. The entire staff is very helpful and took care of all our needs. Great ambiance and setting. Great location with great restaurants, shopping and entertainment nearby. Food is excellent as well.
