Loved every part of staying at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful with local recommendations. You’re very well taken care of at this hotel. There’s free cake every night, as well as free snacks and water in the room (including fresh baked cookies). The grounds were beautiful and the room was cozy. There’s a limited number of rooms, so it’s really peaceful and homey. We loved the daily room service breakfast. The location is also close to great restaurants, shopping, and the water. Would stay here every time I’m in Carmel!

Overall the location is great and the hotel is charming and well designed. The room wasn’t ready at check in, so we were disappointed to then find it run down and dirty (walls, rug, furniture). We paid a lot extra for an ocean view, but our view was only of power lines and construction (which we could also hear). Noise was an issue, walls are very thin and housekeeping woke us up in the room next door early in the morning vacuuming and banging around and we could clearly hear the guests in the surrounding rooms and at the bar. Most of the staff members were good, but one kind of soured our experience. The food was not great at breakfast either day. Overall not worth the price point

Serene and beautiful place to stay in Carmel-by-the-Sea, where you can wake up to the sound of crashing waves. Our room was spacious for 2, with great amenities (comfortable bed, updated bathroom with bidet/Le Labo amenities/soaking tub, yummy snacks and in room espresso/coffee machine, and small private outdoor sitting area). The property itself is beautiful and a great place to relax, with a stunning lobby/bar and multiple secluded fire pits to enjoy. The included breakfast (which you can enjoy from your room in bed, if desired!), was all sourced locally and very delicious. However, the best part of the property is definitely the service -- everyone working there was friendly, helpful, and knew all the guests by name -- they truly went above and beyond to make our stay a special one. Would love to stay again next time when in Carmel!

Absolutely the best all around

What a wonderful stay and attention to service and detail. From arrival to departure, we felt completely attended to for any need we had or could have. A wonderful breakfast is included each morning, recommendations to local restaurants, the beach is one block from the stay, multiple sitting areas with fire pits located around the property. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

Lovely small boutique hotel. Staff was really friendly, and service felt very customized. Beds are super comfortable. Fabulous decor and finishes in the hotel. Included breakfast was delicious. Hear and see the Carmel Beach ocean waves from your room. Morning walk along the scenic coast/Sunset is spectacular!! If anyone can figure out the custom paint color on their doors, I want it! Fresh cookies instead of chocolates in the room at turn down were a fun touch!
