Staff was great. Location was perfect! Dog friendly, which is always a plus for me. Room was extremely spacious with an ocean view. Restaurant on site was closed, BUT continental breakfast was delivered to room. Hotel was a little old, but quant! Will definitely be back.

Can hear upstairs occupants...need better sound proofing

Gina made us feel welcome upon arrival. Stored our golf clubs so we didn't have to take them up to our 2nd floor room. Spacious room with a nice view. Very quiet and convenient walking location. Only minuses are shower water pressure and could use fresh paint. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly but the room was very much in needs of a redo. The decor was very worn, tired, and dark. The fire place was not working, and bathroom sink was stopped up, and the TV only worked when the electric out let was wiggled. The TV was not HD. The problems were fixed the next day. Our breakfast was brought to the room but there was no table to set the tray on.

Good experience. Nice and helpful staff. We felt comfortable.

We decided at the last minute to head back to Carmel-by-the-sea and googled Travago for some information as to what was available. The inn that we stayed at years ago had 9 out of 10 bad reviews. Adobe Inn had nice reviews and was close to Ocean Ave and the resturants we like to dine at. The room was as it appeared on the website. We liked the fireplace and the layout! The bed was comfy. The balcony was nice but it was too cold out for us to really appreciate.

The cookies in the office were a nice touch! A little more protein in the breakfast might have been nice! The room was very large and comfortable. We appreciated our time there!

Wonderful hotel, near Ocean avenue, restaurants and everything the room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Very romantic, i definitely want to go again, and recommend it! Great Stay

Great location and nice enough room, though as other reviews have noted, the hotel feels a bit dated. We loved the gas fireplace in our room to create nice mood, but we were a little disappointed that the fireplace created no warmth in the room, and the room temperature control was uncertain. So kind of cold in the room. Our main suggestion to the hotel is that they put a loveseat or sofa in the rooms (plus a coffee table), rather than solitary chairs around a small kitchen table. When watching TV, we could not sit anywhere comfortably really to watch.

Nice one night stay. Clean and pleasant. Right in heart of town. Parking was HUGE perk.

The location of the Adobe Inn can't be beat. It is in the perfect spot in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. And it has parking! There were certain things we had issues with that other visitors may not have issue with, so I will be very specific in citing the drawbacks. The beds are very squishy. If you have a bad back this is not great, but some people may like a squishy mattress. The heat has two settings: on and off. If you leave it on overnight you will wake up in a sweat, but if you leave it off you may be quite chilly. Strongly recommend being on the 2nd floor. If people are bouncing around on the 2nd floor you will hear it on the 1st floor. Also, the sound of the housekeeping trolley on the tiles is quite loud if you are on 1. Note: Room 20 is next to the housekeeping room; while we were there housekeeping left the housekeeping room door open, which made it more challenging to get into room 20. They've created a garden area in the courtyard which is really quite pretty and peaceful.

We've been many times to Carmel, but had never stayed at the Adobe Inn before. We loved our room, which was spacious and comfortable, had a gas fireplace, and a balcony with a view toward the ocean and the sunset. Another plus for us was the underground parking garage.

The Adobe Inn is a great little get away. Close to all things good in Carmel easy walk to shops and food. Stright shot to the beach out of the parking area. Easy on site under ground parking which is a must in Carmel! Friendly staff and cookies Too!

we had a great time..watch sunset from room..walked everywhere...great food within 1 block

Decent hotel in a good location in middle of Carmel near shops, restaurants, beach etc. The room with the king size bed was okay - the room for my daughter on first floor was rather depressing.

the hotel was in a perfect location... cute shops and great retaurants within short walking distance, ample comp parking, the staff was very friendly and courteous. a problem with the TV was taken care of within 15 minutes of reporting. would definitely book again.

Nice, a bit pricey, a little noisey. AM breakfast treats served to your room which was nice Room was nice, fireplace..

The room was noisy and the decor was lacking. Also, the staff was unwilling to accommodate special requests.

I loved the complimentary room service. The fresh baked cookies were a perfec touch.

The room was nice and spacious with a view of the ocean off.
