Interesting place, very close from downtown and city center but it definitely needs to be refreshed. For now, it's not worth to pay so much for that place. I think some ibis are better for a lower price (Edinburgh or Kiev in Europe for example).

I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and modern. There was plenty of staff on hand who couldn't be more helpful. Excellent location, just around the corner from the main shops and restaurants. Dining area was excellent which we used when we got in late at night and for the breakfast which was reasonably priced. My only issue was there was one electrical socket in the room and none by the bed. Bedding was very clean and the bed comfortable. Parking was expensive so I parked on the road behind. Would definitely consider an Ibis Budget again if it's like this.

Ignore all the bad reviews, it’s a budget hotel that is a room for the night. If you want more services or a better room go elsewhere and pay more. Yes the rooms are small and there is no tea making facilities in the room but that’s not a problem. The staff were really helpful and polite, checking in was easy. You have to prebook and pay for car parking. It’s a short 10min walk into the centre of Cardiff. Pizza is served 24h for £8, great when you get in after a night out,

Clean and comfortable hotel in a good location within walking distance to town. Pretty basic but expected, breakfast is good. Most of the staff were friendly. The only problem we had was with the room. There was three of us staying in a room, the bed on the top bunk was not made just sheets supplied so we had to make it ourselves. The bathroom however is a bit odd. The shower has frosted glass around it which you can clearly see an outline of the person in there, there is also a rather large hole in the glass door which if you were the right height you could potentially see something you don’t want to. There is also no where to get changed in private besides the small toilet which is seperate from the shower. As we were friends travelling together who aren’t close enough to be seeing each other naked. Probably perfect for couples... Other than that stay was good.

When ibis refer to their hotel as ibis budget they are NOT messing about and mean business. Prior to arrival we had discovered that post booking the hotel last year they have relinquished ownership of the car park and it’s cost us an additional £28 we weren’t expecting to pay out as we had booked a hotel with car parking. They will say we should have been informed but we weren’t and upon booking in another family were having the same argument with the staff who I truly feel for as this must be a daily occurrence. Upon arriving in our room we found that their mattress merely slows down your arrival onto the mattress frame as it’s THAT thin and the ant they left us on the bed was a nice touch. We spoke to the staff who informed us each room / mattress is the same (how many ants do they own and are they trained?) The only reason we know the noise coming through the window isn’t due to it being open is because we’ve checked and it’s not. Compact and bijou doesn’t quite cover it

Stayed here to watch Mumford and sons.. hotel is ok, as it is a budget hotel anyway. The room was basic but clean as was the hotel...Advice would be to bring a kettle, as there isnt one in the rooms.. Parking is not run by Ibis, but by Just Park, and its a joke.. so hard to try to get a space as the app says cant book as all spots are reserved! So advice is to pre book for the length of your stay..

For the price I paid for 1 night, the room was very small, more like a spare bedroom. The toilet was in a cupboard without a sink, this was situated in the bedroom next to the bed. The shower cubical was again a cupboard with a glass door. Not tea or coffee facilities in the room these were available in reception 4 floors down. The room was clean and tidy though and the staff efficient and friendly.

Recently stayed at this hotel for a concert good for getting to concert .room not so good bed wise no kettle in room had to go out for tea in reception area.ok for an overnight stay but no longer than that.

Stayed at this hotel for a concert and have to say you get what you pay for a budget hotel.the room was inadequate no kettle in room had to go out for tea much prefer a kettle in your room .close to venue

Nice hotel. central Location. Rooms are clean and good beds. Everything you needed to have a good stay .you are close by trainstation and busses.. breakfast i s sober but ok. No diner but there are good restaurants near by.
