Good position

Short walk to the beachfront and Sea Point's excellent salt-water pool. Good parking - which is very useful in Sea Point. Near food shops such as Chequers. Secure building. Apartment had a little garden / patio where we had supper in the open air on several occasions.

Had a great week here in march for the argus that wasn't. Clean rooms tidied every day. Nice clean pool. Free wifi. Communal BBQ area which is excellent. Nice central location with some decent shops at the end up f the road. Couldn't have asked for anything more really

It was a family trip. we stayed for 4 nights here. it was a safe and secure place. the place was very clean and tidy. It's very close to sea point and has checkers and other malls and restaurants in walking distance. Right place to stay in Cape

the apartment looked very nice ,nice furniture and comfortable bed. just it could have been more clean there was still much hairs on the floor from the previous person and even after the second time they cleaned that didn't disappear. there was no balcony unfortunately. there is a lawn and a small swimming pool and even washingmachine . its very secured. overall it was a nice apartment but they could do a better cleaning.

Great Rental Apartment, close to beach.

Great Experience, from booking, having my sister collect the keys as we were arriving late at night, nice comfy apartment with great amenities ... only complaint was WiFi and Internet were bad in the apartment. Great friendly staff. Close to lots of shops and restaurants etc.

Self catering apartment Seapoint

It was frustrating trying to make contact with this property , they do not return messages promptly. We booked our apartment for three adults , we did not have enough crockery and cutlery and after having emailed and left a message to request more I had to call up again to chase. We felt that the apartment was too small to comfortably accommodate three adults , also you will only be given one set of keys, Sunshine Lettings will not provide you with an additional set which was incredibly inconvenient. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay.

Noisey but roomy

Lovely room but with no fan or air con leaving the windows open meant it was noisey. The room was large with a high standard of furnishings and a large kitchen. However, no fresh towels delivered and there is no reception so you have to arrange your exact time of check in to be met with keys. However, would stay again as its a good location.

Nice location but overall very disappointing

Apartment was described as "refurbished" WHEN?? Needed a really good clean, the furniture was shabby. No dining table/chairs. The one chair collapsed and was returned with two nails sticking out. We had to take 2 chairs from the pool area to sit on. Unable to open the gate when there was a power cut - no instructions in the room as what to do. Definitely would not recommend.

The location was very convenient: close to shops, close to beach, close to a number of tourist attractions. Cleaning of apartment needs to be daily, instead of every 4 days. Needs someone to be on duty on the premises to address problems. Toilet pipe was leaking and took 2 days to sort out. Limited crockery, mismatched and in poor condition

Nice Apartments, Super Location, Great Staff

I stayed at one of the apartments at Planet Africa in Seapoint. Management helped with early check in and tour of facilities (Which are very good, including Gym, Swimming Pool and Laundry). I had my 8 yr old son stay with me and the Sofabed provided was perfect for him. We were based at the apartment for 2 weeks and it quickly became a second home for us. Manager Bethany and her team made sure that all our needs were met, and responded quickly to the little things (we messed up the TV system, and managed to lock our valuables in the safe and not gain access) No fuss, and problem solved.

Close to stores, restaurants and the beach

Staying in an apartment is a great way to travel. The downside is that the staff was not very communicative or response to email. For example, when I arrived, I had no idea how to enter the premise or how to find the apartment I was staying at. Fortunately, a guy was sent to meet me there and waited 2 hours for my arrival. But that was just luck since no plans were communicated to me for how we would meet. The place was great and the stay was nice, but the reception staff needs training.

Very bad experience with that booking from Hotel.com . My family and I leave the apartment after one hour on arrival. We went to city lodge at a better price . Honestly 154usd. Is too expensive . This is not the place to be . I won't recommend people . On arrival we have to wait for 25 minutes on the pavements with our luggages . No reception . Need to use my phone through roaming to call for assistance . And the lady was in a hurry to show us the room etc... Would like to get my money back.

Pool was out of commission the whole time I was there - looked like was being serviced. No TV the first night , was fixed the following morning, Overall a decent place for the price but one or two things that, given they are used to market the place, really should have been working.

Large, clean convenient two bed flat with own terrace and parking, in a central sea point location. Pool was empty but that didn't concern us, security could be an issue as there is no concierge and the building does have multiple entrances. Overall would recommend on basis of size, location, convenience etc..

an oasis in busy Seapoint

our apartment was very clean and furnished with a lot of thougt. The kitchen was really well equipped and we had everything to cook out own meals which saved a lot of money. the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed having proper duvets instead of the blankets and sheet we found in a lot of other places. The complex was really great. Nice sized pool and lawn, a good bbq area and we really felt like being in Africa with all the thatch and african decoration. A real oasis in the busy Cape Town. Parking was inside the complex behind electric fences and so we did not have to worry about any breakins. All in all a very pleasant stay, with good insider tips from the staff who were all more than helpful. We will definately be back

Great value for money

For the price we got on Hotels.com, we couldn't have asked for more. The only issue, and this is seriously inconvenient, was that the reception is not at the same address as the hotel, so when you arrive, your only alternative is to phone, and if you don't have a local mobile, that's very expensive. They need to sort that out urgently. Also beware of the old safes in the room. Ours got stuck and we had to wait til the next day for the manager.

Great, nice sized studio unit. Close to a large supermarket, restaurants. Had our own garden where we could enjoy a lovely dinner by candlelight it was perfect for our anniversary. And the staff was just to precious....:-) Will go back in a heartbeat!!!!!

Sunshine Letting Apartment-S/C in Seapoint, C/Town

Finding the apartment was a problem - not enough info was emailed. Apartment cutlery is electic. Otherwise, the apartment is clean, private and very near a shopping complex and restuarants in a safe environment (so we were told). When checking out we forgot some valuable food items to take to the next resort - about 170kms away.We could have easily collected these items on our return - but management were not too friendly about going out of their way to assist us! Overall: recommended, but please check everywhere - e.g under beds and on top of kitchen units - for your items otherwise they are gone to "charity", so they claim!

Didn't appear that the staff for this apartment had any interest in our visit. I know it was off season but no one made an effort until asked to show us how things worked or where things could be located in the complex/apartment. The phone for the room didn't work all week so if there was an emergency I'm not sure what we would have done. My daughter called the main guest house while I was away and was told not to worry we weren't dead. Disappointing visit.

The Sunshine Letting Apartments is actually named Planet Africa and is situated in Sea Point, about two blocks from the sea front. It is a block of self contained apartments. I stayed in a studio apartment in the new block. The studio was perfect. A full kitchen, double bed and lounge area (with sofa bed), flat screen TV with satellite (although not all the channels were available) and an en suite bathroom. The lounge also had double opening french doors which let the sunlight and fresh air in. There was also a space outside for free car parking. 50 metres away from the apartment was the main road with two large supermarkets and a wide range of eateries (be wary of walking around after dark!!). If you have any problems, you have to walk a couple of blocks to the Sunshine Villa. The people there are very nice and will help you book tours etc. I would definitely stay again if i visit Cape Town.
