Friendly and helpful staff and full, delicious breakfast but room was old and had roach problem at night.

Plus side: rooms are good size, hotel is not too too far from stuff, staff was good, complimentary breakfast was AWESOME buffet. Negatives: found a dying cockroach in my room, the sofa is in the "kitchen", kitchen provided glasses, etc but no cookware. Shower was "temperamental" at best, hotel was loud at night, it was like a frat-type atmosphere and the restaurant never seemed to know when it was open or closed and the restaurant attached to the hotel (I don't think the hotel owns it) but service was decent, at best. All in all, prob would not stay there again. Over priced and under-impressed.

I would recommend this facility to anyone! Comfortable, clean, and close to downtown.

Located at the foothills of the majestic Table Mountain, this hotel is a 1km away from the city center. No frills rooms, nice buffet breakfast, nice view of Table mountain.

This hotel may be a little further from the V&A Waterfront, but all the extra stuff included were amazing. The rooms are older but huge, the breakfast buffet was amazing, the wifi has no real limit (which was AMAZING), the balconies had a nice view, and they provide free shuttles to and from the airport and to other places. I researched getting a 4 star hotel near the waterfront, but not only would it have been insanely more expensive, they didn't have half the amenities this one did. Really satisfied with this hotel.

amenities and location were fine. When arriving at the Cape Town Airport around 9:30 pm on April 6 2013 I called the hotel for the shuttle and was told "there is no shuttle"--this was very inconvenient.I had to find another mode of transportation to the hotel. I had booked this hotel because they have a shuttle--but was told " there was no shuttle available" The next day they provided a shuttle (taxi) to the cruise ship pier and all went well. Cannot recommend this hotel if advertised services are not provided

Very friendly and helpful staff. A bit of a walk to town, but they have a limo service that takes you one way. There are two pools and several on site restaurants, that is a good thing because there is only one pub around the corner.

I was impressed by the size of my room. King size bed was really two singles pushed together (that didn't bother me at all because it was just me). The little kitchen was nice. The bathroom was huge with a seperate bath and shower. The room's tempature was comfortable with the a/c unit working perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful. At check in and check out the front desk clerks tried to charge me for my room which was pre-paid. Once I brought it to their attention that the room was pre-paid, they cleared up the issue. The hotel offers a shuttle and the shuttle drivers were awesome. They made suggestions on attractions and locations. A good example of this is when [...] (shuttle driver) suggested that rather then going to the V and A Waterfront that I should take advantage of the clear weather and calm winds and visit Table Mountain. There is a small window of weather conditions where the cable cars operate and the best views are available (being winter time). He was right! The computers available in the lobby for Internet use were good enough. There was some technical troubles with the access codes I was given but the staff was very helpful in getting me a working code. The location was good enough...close to downtown while not in downtown. The neighborhood looked safe enough (but I was a single 30-ish aged guy...the neighborhood could be a little less attractive to single (meaning traveling alone...not marital status :) ) females or older folks) but the shuttles get you quickly and safely to the major attractions. There was someone who paid less for a room in a fancy-looking hotel downtown. I got to see the room but the location wasn't as attractive as it seemed. Downtown Cape Town at night didn't seem like the safest most desirable place to be. I was happy with value I got from the Best Western Cape Suites Hotel.
