Provide beach towels and chairs.
It was a beautiful and homey place to spend the week in. My only complaint is that the bed was squeaky and the place smelled a little like moth balls. Nothing I couldn't get over quick! Felt right at home otherwise.
I LOVED Captain Mey's Inn. The picture you use in Orbitz doesn't do it justice! This was like a throwback in time to the Victorian era. The house was decorated impecibly. I had no idea (not mentioned ion your site) that they provided BEACH TOWELS AND CHAIRS to borrow. AND KAYAKS! There was a bike rack AND a BBQ to use if we wanted to, The Peter Styvesant room was great- clean bathroom and maid service daily. The dining room had a wine cooler, ice machine, coffe and teas. The hostess was very very pleasant.
Great porch to meet friends, have a drink or just relax. Close to the mall and beach.
Great last minute stay. Beautiful little house in the heart of downtown Cape May. 1 Block to the outdoor mall, 3 blocks from the beach. Quiet, comfortable, private & perfect
It was very clean but the potpourri smell in the main part of the house was overwhelming .
This house is absolutely beautiful. It’s in walking distance of everything. We stayed in the Williams of Orange room on the third floor. It has a beautiful bathroom with a jetted tube. The room and the house was clean and nicely decorated. I loved the cozy feel of the room. Everything was great on until we laid down in the bed. As soon as you laid down you rolled to the middle. It was like laying on mush. When we laid in the bed it felt like we were on an incline with our feet up. So we laid at the foot of the bed. Then we had to lay on pillows. We both have bad backs so this just made things worst. I came here without a limp or pain. I’m leaving with a limp and lots of pain. This is my first experience in a bed and breakfast. This bed ensures that it will be our last. It also didn’t help that we had no access to a microwave. I didn’t bother complaining about the bed (didn’t See not one employee). I feel we should be compensated but I didn’t feel like putting up a fight on my birthday trip. Cape May is lovely and we will come again. Next time, I’ll stay in a hotel in Wildwood though.
Beautiful, classic Cape May house, but actually being in the heart of downtown Cape May meant that it was a little noisy. Due to the layout of the house, we could hear everyone coming and going at night and in the morning. Everyone was very polite and quiet, but the nature of the house meant that you'd hear them on the stairs and opening and closing the heavy doors. Note that while the sign still says Bed & Breakfast, there is no breakfast and there is no space to really be in the house. So you're either in your bedroom or on the front porch, which is still really nice.
Close to shopping and beach. Parking onsite. Beautiful porch to hang out in.
Not really a B&B... no breakfast. Loved the open coffee/tea bar with ice and refrigerator availability. Close to shopping and beach with wrap around porch to relax on.
Arrived to a note saying no one was avaliable and to call this number on phone.. A very nice person came in a few minutes... no big deal.... all fine in my case... Room and bath were sumptuous... but last night... no parking spot and ended up driving in circles looking for a cheap spot to park.......
Great spot for Cape May. Close to beach and shops.
The B&B is conveniently close to the shops and restaurants, a Church, two blocks to the beach, and overall a terrific location. Olga, the house cleaner and first one who greeted us, was amazing and very helpful. The room and the house itself was very comfy and cozy. We felt very warm and the necessities were as advertised. I don't understand why there are a few complaints regarding the house condition. Our room, Capt Johan, was perfect. I highly recommend this awesome Victorian home and would come back again in the future. The price is right compared to others on Ocean Street. We had a very relaxing time during our stay.

We do advertise as an Inn & have been functioning as an Inn for years. However, the B&B designation has remained with the Captain Mey's Inn. I have posted everywhere we do not serve breakfast & for some reason this information is not received by some guest. I'm sorry for any confusion. Thank you for your Kind review. Look forward to seeing you again.
